A group of ruffian scouts, plowing through the docks had been the thorn in the sides of several of the Watch for days. This night was a bit different as they took to the shallows in small boats and were spying several ships that seemed to be out of the scheme of the channels. One group of 4 just happened to venture towards the coves of the Westside and was simply watching two of the larger berths. Watching. Waiting.

Jack had heard about the newest group of ruffians, by way of a few of the crew when he had been in town briefly. Once he got back and informed Ileen, they both agreed to get both crews together. Roth had been asked to lead the men on the Sloop. Jack and Ileen on the Pandora. Keeping the torches unlit at night, just in case the two ships were targeted. Jack would be in his cabin at the moment, stretched out on the bed. Not really sleeping at the moment, as he waited for any word that the ruffians might be coming their way.

For the moment, all was quiet. There was still too much activity in the area and if anything was breeched, it would be done so once things quieted down.

Ralphie made the mistake of setting a smoke to flame and promptly got it near punched out of his hand by Bo. "Fuckin' idiot, wha' the hell are you doin?" Hissed twixt clenched teeth, Bo slapped him on the cheek for good measure and went back to watching. "Right fi'one they be....mhm..." The man was nearly drooling as the moonlight lit them both up very nicely.

"Whatchoo think they be carrying?" Whispered, the other three mostly shrugged as they were all nursing from a stolen crate of rum.

Sitting at Jack's desk, Ileen was pouring through several ledgers and trying to see with very small lantern light, it was a mere flicker instead of a flame. "Well, it was nice spending time alone.." Muttered softly, she shifted position and sat on a foot to lift herself up a hair.

" Aye. It was. ?Murmured Jack as he moved to sit up on the bed, sparing a look out a window for a moment. Just catching sight of a flicker of a small flare for a moment.

About that time, Jeremy slipped inside. Normally Jack would say something to him not knocking. ?They look to be heading our way. Gerald was watching on the Sloop, and gave the signal that he seen something.? Said quietly, before he moved out to his post again. Jack shook his head for a moment, before looking to Ileen. ?Well, that be the end of our little evening. "

Bright green on him and wandering his features, she tilted her head, quill hovering. She had been about to say something and stopped at the presence of Jeremy. Giving him a nod, she leaned back in the chair and set the writing utensil to the side. "Aye, seems so..."

Out in the shallows, Bo motioned for Harlin to row them a bit closer and position them some 100 yards out, but smack dab in the center of the two ships. All of them keeping a close eye from portal window to portal window, there were seeing absolutely no movement....not even a light. "What the hell, nae one on them, tha' ain't right, ain't right t'all...mayhap they all be dead..." And snorted a chuckle.

Jack slowly moved to his feet now, moving to slip out of the room. Shooting Ileen a quick smile, before moving to lie in wait with the rest of his crew on the Pandora.

Roth on the Sloop was watching them from the crow's nest, before signaling down that the ruffians were very close. With Gerald relaying the signal over to Jack. They would wait a moment longer.

Down into the black depths, 2 of the ruffians slipped. There was not nary a ripple from the boat, nor a splash made. Out skirting would take some time, as to not cause any attention.

Bo and the other keeping an eye on the decks and also the crow nest's, they were not seeing movement. So stealthy the crews did in fact creep.

Ileen leaned over and blew out what little of a flame there was and rose. Jack's father?s sword slipped into its sheath, she remained barefoot and came from the cabin. Spotting several of their own in the shadows, the crickets were heard chirping and she crouched down at the starboard side of the deck.

Jack dared a peek over, before narrowing his eyes. Waiting for the right moment to signal both crews to come out of hiding. With a glance to Ileen when she came, then back to watching Roth. He had the best view of everything.

The edge of Bo's eye ticked, catching some movement from the Pandora. Leaning to spit, the spyglass was trained over its decks, it could have been a shadow, but he seriously doubted it. A loony bird's call reaching the nearby area, to any trained ear; it was not from a bird of the winged sort. Thankful for the lack of moon, Ralphie's hand came to the broadside of the ship and a slow movement made to the anchor's rope. It wouldn't be long and he would be shimmying himself up.

Jack caught sight out of the corner of his eyes, that Roth gave a quick motion to the anchor's rope. So off the pirate snuck, and just as poor Bo's feet hit the deck and moved just out of range of Ralphie's sight. Jack popped up behind him, not a clever word said. One hand going over his mouth, while he thrusted his sword through him. Lowering him and holding the male till he died from blood loss.

With adrenalin flowing as it was, the death of Ralphie was a quick one. Elvis portrait velvet black floated where sight should have been and his heart pumped one final time. Run through with such precision, there was no time for life to flash before his eyes or a struggle to ensue. It was just....death at the hand of Jack. While Harlin and Bo waited in their boat, the second ruffian having hit the water, being Jimbo, skimmed the rails and hit the deck of The Pandora with an almost feline grace and silence.

A tap on Jeremy's shoulder, when the younger turned; it was an instant duel of swords where he had wanted silence. Up and over, parry and thrust, it was in the blink of an eye that the gleam of a small blade whizzed past Jack to sink itself into the meaty neck of Jimbo, bringing him to his knees instantly.

"Nae!" Rushed via Jimbo, it only quickened the pulse and the squirts of life spilled there. Thanks to his jugular being cleanly severed. Spying Ileen, Jeremy gave the woman a nod in thanks and was soon climbing the crow's nest rope to halfway, as she sunk herself back into that corner and waited, as surely the yelp from Jimbo would bring anyone else in a hurry.

"Ahhh hell..." Muttered Bo. "Get us outta here." Near spat at Harlin. "But....but ....we cannae leave them!" Came Harlin's near insistent whine. "They already be dead you fool...!" Snatching the oar from Harlin, Bo gave him a violent shove and the old man fell overboard with a splash. He wasn't waited for, oh hell no. Bo started roaring feverishly away from the cove. He wasn't leaving his neck on the line for such stupidity.

Once the commotion had died down, the dead bodies would be wrapped and tossed overboard. Weighted down so not to be traced back to any one on the ship. As for the old man? He would be hauled up onto the deck of the Pandora, with Jack looking down at the poor male. ?Be telling me why they be coming after our ships.? Motioning to himself then to Ileen, letting the old male know. That the Sloop belonged to her. ?And I be trying to be keeping her from gutting ye like a fish."

Spitting and coughing, what Harlin was then faced with, near made him wish he had sunk to the bottom and died there. "I dun....I dun ken wha' th' hell they bae doin', just scoutin' 'bouts like we always bae...dun bae takin' th' berths, just lootin' em!" Rolling to his shoulder, the old man was trying to get his bearing. "Ain't my fookin' fault it was som' doxie's ship or y' own, boy..." Aye, he called Jack a boy and Ileen's brow quirked as she came from her stance. Not too far, just a few steps.

On that. Jack drew his sword and pressed it to the poor old man's throat. " Ye best be talking with a bit more respect. Ye not be in the position to be bad mouthing either one of us.? He noticed Ileen stepping closer, and suddenly smiled.? But I be a generous man.? Keeping the sword at the male's throat.? How do ye be feeling on the matter, Captain?" Looking to Ileen, as he was totally going to let her have at the male now.

"Respect?! Why th' hell would I give y' anymore respect tha' I nae ever gave m' pappy!" Said on the end of a choking chuckle, Harlin flattened himself on the deck and was then kind of looking upside down at the red haired woman that was now hovering over him.

Roth and Gerald returned from the Sloop. "All b' quiet over there, Captain's..." A nod for the two, Ileen looked back down to the old man and then up to Jack. "Well considerin', the god's deem an eye for an eye, and I'm a doxie an' his fellows ruined my face time with you, finish him and be done..." A shrug of one shoulder, Ileen spit in the man's face and turned to head back to the other's before Jack's cabin.

"Dun think she's playin'..." Came the mutter of Gerald, which got an elbow to his ribs from one of the other men.

Jack nodded to Roth and Gerald. " Boys.? Looking to Roth and Jeremy. ?Be taking this sorry excuse to the Watch, and be telling them everything that be coming out of his mouth. That he be one of the men that be stealing from the ships in the harbor.? Both men nodded as the poor old man was dragged up to his feet, then taken off the ship, cursing and screaming.

Jack then sheathed his sword as he looked to Gerald. ?Just be remembering that could be ye the next time ye be screwing up.? That got poor Gerald's eyes to widen a touch before nodding. He'd never screw up again! Jack then moved to follow Ileen. ?Ye boys are dismissed.?

Sitting once again behind his desk, Ileen glanced up when he came in and set the last blade down to its surface. "I think we need to start mooring further out, maybe quarter mile or better. Would be a pain to row in further, but it would avoid the dwellers sniffing around. Thoughts?"

Shutting the door behind him, before looking to her as she spoke. Letting her finish, before he nodded in agreement. ?Aye. That be a good idea. We be doing that first thing in the morning.? Now moving towards her to take a lean against his desk, before smirking.? Ye be liking that, don't ye? Sitting at my desk like ye be in charge.? Winking at her to let her know he was only teasing.

"We all know that I am, so aye..." Retorted back up to him, she then glanced around and still hadn't taken off her boots, but was heeling each to do just that. "Ain't like theres more room for another one, or room in the cabin of the Sloop, it's all full. If you got something to do, move that mess on the corner there and I'll sit up there while I look over OUR books and not tell you that we are running nicely in the black, Captain Prissy Pants."

He just smirked at her on that as he suddenly grabbed the bottoms of her feet. And slowly started to lift up on them, in a playful mock attempt to get her to think he might just flip her over backwards. This lasted just mere moments, before letting her feet go. ?We can be going over the books later. Ye be having me to yerself again. "

Taken off balance regardless, Ileen's eyes went comically wide and a rarely heard giggle of all things ripped from Ileen. Hands smacking to the arms of the chair, she didn't dare move but she did wiggle her bare toes up at him. "So I do, what shall I ever do with you?"

He tilted his head for a moment. ?That be up to ye.? Now leaning on the chair's side of the desk. ?Not like ye be having anything in that mind of yer's to be doing anything ye be wanting to me.?

The chair near laying all the way back, what he just said flew into her mind and she quirked a brow. "Huh?"

His turn to laugh as he shook his head at her. ?I be saying, that ye don't be having a clue what to be doing with me right now.? Pressing a foot against the chair, with a little shove. Just enough to get a wobble out of it.

Eyeing him, Ileen knew there was something else going on in that head of his, more than he was willing to voice. It was with that thought; she began to turn it on him. "Maybe you're right. Considering it's only been me being bitchy about it since the other night. So if given a chance, what would you be wanting to do with me, besides knocking me out of this chair to reclaim it as your own?"

Lowering his foot as he moved for the door. ?Be finding a preist.? A glance over his shoulder as he used one of her own tactics against her. Payback for her saying a priest was coming to the cabin? Maybe.

This is where the joining of Jack and Ileen get's dangerous. It was wonderful when such tactics were played on those that needed it, but when it was with each other, it blew the hell up in their faces. This time, was of no exception. Coming from the chair, Ileen snagged up her boots and trailed after him. "There be one down off of Willow Street, on Bay City Drive..."
