Shy sat at the hearthside in that favored wingback chair, drinking her chosen beverage of mead as she contemplates taking a voyage. Long, suede-encased legs are crossed at the knees; right leg over left. Beneath her black hooded cloak she wears a peach-colored silk blouse; satin ribbons woven throughout her braid are a matching hue to that of her blouse, and anchored by a white pearl in a gold setting. It is nice that the place is not crowded, and she is not as tense as she was last evening.
Ileen was cold, very cold in fact. A large flannel used as a coat, it could have been wrapped about her a couple of times, and was held quite close as she shouldered her way in and headed for the bar. A spy of Shy, Ileen grinned at her widely. "Morning, Shy...good to see you..." A near miss of a trip, she rounded the counter and set about making a fresh pot of coffee.
A slow bouncing of her right knee-highed, fur-trimmed booted foot, to a jaunty tune that is playing in her head. Drinking vessel is hoisted for another swallow or two of the honeyed brew. Light blue gaze drifts away from the small fire, to land upon Ms McGowan. "Greetings, Ileen. I hope all is well with you this dag." Of course that song ebbs, and the foot bouncing ceases. A dimpled smile forms as she watches the female pirate.
This was going to be too much hassle, as she was not awake enough to find the jar of coffee. Maybe there wasn't any up front. It would wait and a banana was snagged from a bowl set there and she wandered towards the hearth, to slump down into the couch. At least someone had thought to set a small fire. "I'm wonderful, and how you be?" Legs pulled up beneath her, comfort found.
"I am fint enough. So, you are wonderful ... is there any particular reason?" It never hurts to inquire as far as she is concerned. "I do not hear others use that word often when describing how they are."
"I didn't wake up dead..." The grin broadening by leaps and bounds, attention was fully on the woman. "That always helps.." A shrug set to roll a shoulder. "You ready for winter? Been too much preparation for it, finally done. The men are quite happy about it." Peeling the fruit, a bite was soon taken.
Merrily laughs at Ileen's reply. She likes it! Nods to her question. "Ja, I and my crew are prepared for the Vinter Season. We usually have e'erything in order, early. We are used to the harsh conditions, which kan be quite milder here than in our hjemland of Norge. 'Tis always a relief to complete necessary tasks before it snows, ja?"
Click, clack, click. There was a wiggle of her snot at the lingering odor on the air as Icer made her way along the cobbled street. She'd been up early and to the market to get a few trinkets for the little ones.
After taking another swig or three of mead, inquires, "And Jack? How is that scallywag of yours?" Softly chortling.
"Aye...now I can spend the next couple of months freezing my bum off. I wonder if I should pad it." Leaning her head back, the banana peel was tossed into the hearth. "Still moored around the coves, we be thinking to go out half a mile or so, that way the ice won't accumulate." A chuckle to scallywag. "He's good, blasphemous as ever and glad we are gonna get a break. How's Victor?"
Icer. Snot. Hmm.
At least it was peaceful now.. A glance to the porch, and up the stairs, nudging the door open with her snout.
"I am sure Jack shall enjoy warming up your bum, Ileen." Snickers ever-so-slyly. A slight tilting of her head when she hears about them going out half a mile or so on the water. "Do you intend on remaining out there all Vinter?" A pause before continuing, "Viktor is fint, I am sure." Glances over at the main entry when the door opens. "Greetings, Icer."
A nod to Shy and IIeen as she slid inside, letting the door shut behind her.
"More than likely, aye, we probably will. I know we will be out at the cabin a lot." Regarding her a long moment, a curious expression to something. "Morning Icer!" Called out to the dragon.
Shy's attention returns to Ileen. "You have a cabin? I was unawares of that information."
Click clack. Now on her way to her water dish.
"Aye, my sister and I had one built years ago, Jack helped me open it up and get it back liveable. We spend a lot of time there as of late. Outside of town." Nodding.
(TBC. Collaborative RDI play, thank you to the player's of Jack, Shy, Icer and Aurthur.)
