With the news of Roth?s wife becoming ill, there was much concern that bled through the crew, but it ran thickest between Jack and Ileen. While Roth was Jack?s crewman, Ileen considered him to be her own as well. Roth would be taking time off and while he was missed, it was also essential that his wife and their triplet?s were taken care of.

Jack made many visit?s to their home on the outskirts of Rhydin and Ileen had left a note for Katt inquiring if she could make up some meals to help tide them over.

When the Baker had responded, the wench left a note for Jack asking him to pick up the delights from the Red Dragon and deliver them if he had time. Ileen would have done it herself, but she was being pulled between the docks and the cabin, preparing for the upcoming winter.

Later that evening, the two Captains had fallen exhausted into the bed they shared and it was through sleepy murmers that Jack informed Ileen of what Katt had prepared.

The care packages consisted of containers for each meal plus two for sweets and one for snacks.

Meal Containers include:
Container One: Small individual containers with cheesy scrambled eggs and sausage crumble bits, sweet bread rolls, orange juice, and milk. One for each member of the family (that was described) plus three extra kits (just in case someone was really hungry).

Container Two: Fresh baked bread circling around the container with slices of cheese, turkey, roast beef, and ham (basically make your own sandwich) with the fixings in the center (mustered, mayo, etc). On top of this is a napkin with bags of chips to choose from. A rather wide variety.

Container Three: This container has a pot inside of it which is why it was so heavy. (A slowcooker that all they need to do is reheat by plugging it in the wall) Inside is a roast that had been slowcooked for a number of hours and is fall off the fork tender. Several cuts of red potatoes and carrots along with the meat are soaked in a thick brown gravy. There is a smaller container worth of medium grain rice. Another with mixed veggies. Lastly a bag of bread rolls.

Container Four: Cookies. Loads and loads of them. A nice variety of them: black and white checker cookies, sugar cookies, snickerdoodles, oatmeal chocolate chip, and peanut butter.

Container Five: Small personal size cakes (6 of each): Red Velvet with whipped cream cheese toppings, chocolate with chocolate ganache, and white cake with strawberry center and topping.

Container Six: Mixed fruits, all cut up, and a cup of sweet cream to dip the fruit in.

Another set of containers are in the kitchen by noon. A little late but, she'll be forgiven.

Container One: Cherry-Granola French Toast with a jar of maple syrup. Milk and OJ on the side.

Container Two: Meatball sandwiches with extra sauce and cheese. Various bags of chips.

Container Three: Creamy Chicken and Rice Soup with pieces of carrot and potatoes. Fresh loaf of bread with butter on the side and sliced apples.

Container Four: More cookies!

Container Five: Fruit Salad with mandarin oranges, apples, bananas, cherries, walnuts, raisins and grapes (both green and purple).

Container Six: Strawberry Mousse Desserts Cups, Cookies n cream cupcakes, and key-lime cream bunt cake.

Ileen was stunned. Katt had truly outdone herself. While it was not shocking that she had done so, it cemented the sense of community Ileen was becoming very aware of and found a certain sense of security in.

Jack had made the delivery to the family and Roth?s wife had been moved to tears. Her husband and children her first priority, she could now rest easier knowing they would be well fed while she recuperated.

The next morning, when Katt went to The Red Dragon Inn. She would find a large bouquet of sunflowers, wrapped at the stems with strips hued the brightest of reds on the counter. The note attached, scribed neatly to read.

?Thank you for your help and all that you have graciously provided, Katt. It is much appreciated by all of us. Best Regards, Captain Jack Morgan, Captain Ileen McGowan and the crew.?
