Captain Jack Morgan

There was no telling how long Ileen had been curled up into the corner of the couch that morning. Long enough to hear and spy what had been going on, it wasn't until the din was vacated that she managed to find her height and kinda stumbled off behind the bar to make a pot of coffee. It was needed. Desperately so. Much too long since she had been blessed with a hangover, it was a doozy and she wished the world would stop spinning so she could step off. Turning around slowly, she finally spied the coffee tin and added an ungodly amount to be followed with several bottles of water. A mash of the button and the new fangled device gurgled to life. She would just stand there, leaning and cursing herself.

How long had momma Icer been there? Well she had slunk from the lair quite late the night before, and presently was stirring behind her old broken couch.

It probably wouldn't help that hangover as the front door was pushed open, hitting the wall with a thud as the pirate swaggered in. Looking around at the bare commons for a moment or two, before spotting the wench. Head tilting to the way she moved, and just to be a knaving pirate sot. He would slam then front door shut, before swaggering towards the bar. " So there ye be ye she devil of a nattering old sea hag. " Murmured towards the wench. Just wait. Something might go flying at the pirate's head in a moment.

A shoe hopefully? Because peanuts well, didn't land hard enough. Jaws parting in a yawn and a bit more stirring. Lazy dragon.

Visibly jumping, near out of her skin, Ileen shot a glare to whoever that was with the audacity to smack the door so hard and when it was known to be Jack, she groaned inwardly. This was not going to be a good day, was it? Spotting the movement of Icer, the bleary gaze once again reached for the pirate and she muttered, "Shut the hell up..." and pressed her palm to the center of her forehead.

Horned head rested then on the top of her broken couch and grin!

" Why should I be shutting the hell up when ye not be coming home last night, and now ye be here at the inn suffering from be appearing to be a hangover. " Now stopping at the bar, as he plopped down on a stool. With one hand smacking the table, just for another loud noise to torture the wench with. " Or do ye not be wanting me to be wondering where ye be? "

Again a flinch, oh dear saint's, her head was gonna explode any second now. Squinting at him, bright green were not so bright and she didn't say anything for a moment, but when she did, the volume of her voice was a safe whisper. "Because my head is killing me and I may just puke in your lap." A step forward, then another, she was soon pressed against the bar right in front of him. "Since when does it matter if I come home or not?" And here we go.

Peanuts away! Sent pirate wards, from Icer.

" It be mattering because we don't be knowing if that Patty guy still be wanting to be getting you back for what ye be doing. " Pointing that out to her, as well as tapping her forehead on each word. " But if ye not be caring if I not be wondering where ye be. " Now moving to his feet. " Then I'll be taking my leave. "

Slamming her eyes closed, the taps coming as a punch every time and all sense of breath was held. When he was done, she opened one eye and then the other to simply stare at him. What he said, did make sense, but she wasn't going to give him that this morning. Hell no, she was just gonna....well....not give it to him. Instead, she waved a hand in the air and finally exhaled. "Don't hand me all that..." Reaching down to pull a bottle of rum up, it was knocked to the counter. "You want to go, then go. Don't make it because you want to state I don't care if you be wondering. Go on, don't let the door smack you in your knave encrusted ass.."

Turning as he moved to head off, just as a peanut whizzed right in front of his eyes. He then looked over his shoulder to Ileen. " Ye just be saying that because ye be knowing that I be right in what I be saying. Ye just being a hard headed nattering she devil of a wench to be admitting it. " Slight turn to face her again.

And she missed!

"So I am, Captain, and your first instinct is to flee whether I admit you right or not. Why don't you make it worth your while and pull anchor.." Forgetting all about the coffee, she fully turned to watch him. Was he really going to leave her standing there? Probably.

Snatching up the bottle of rum. " I just might be doing that. " To her idea of him puling anchor, as he turned to swagger towards the door. Sure looking like he was about to leave her there, with a side glance to Icer. " 'ello, Icer. " Swig of rum as he pulled the door open, then stepped out. Actually closing it behind him.

"Hello Jack." :;Just as the door closed behind him. Late as usual.

"Good!" For a moment, the hangover was replaced with anger and after the word flew from her mouth, she instantly regretted it. Staring for an eternally driven moment at the closed door, brows furrowed painfully hard and she turned away. She wouldn't chase after him.

Yes she would chase after him. When it hit her that he would be taking off, good chance that he would take both the Pandora and the Bridget's Revenge with him when he left.

Finally slipping out from behind the couch, wings unfurling in a stretch. Not if the harbor was iced over, Icer thought.

Maybe it would have been best for Patrick to leave her bleeding out in some slimy alley. Glancing for the door again, she half expected it to reopen and when it didn't, she made the cup of coffee and slid onto the back bar, not trusting her gait to walk too awful far at the moment.

Little known to Ileen, the pirate sot was leaning out of sight of the windows. Watching the door as he was counting down till it burst open, with a crazed screaming wench yelling at him. Swigging his rum. Or just go find Mona.

Stranger things have happened.. She never saw the Sea Wolf any more in port. Nor the ship that belonged to La Fontaine, but then he was long dead. Which reminded her she needed to visit the graveyard, and the graves of said pirate and her sister and kin. Others were there too. Claire Poe last she had checked.

If he went to seek out Mona, he gets what he deserves, his manhood rotting off thanks to whatever fungus the harlot seeped from her pores. Ileen's body literally screaming, every loin hurt but at the moment, it was the seething towards that door.

Head tilt to seeing the wench wasn't coming out it appeared any time soon, so he pushed off the wall he was leaning on. Swaggering away from the inn, as it was time to have some fun at the wench's expense now. She wanted him to take off and pull anchor? Then that's just what he was going to do, or at least make it appear that is what was going to happen. And just to make it fully effective? Both ships would be used in this.

Old Claire never seemed to stay dead. Nor did a few others. Someday she'd have to find Mira and visit. Poor Jack.. IIeen was gonna have his head!

How her tying one on had turned into this, Ileen would never know. She truly didn't think he would pull anchor and leave, nor did she know he would take the sloop as well. It mattered not really, as the papers she had left on the desk in their quarters, pertained to what they had discussed several days earlier and held the seal of one local Solicitor, leaving the ship and the cabin to him if anything happened to her.

Coming from her perch, mug in hand, she wandered across the commons and stopped near Icer to glance out the windows. Not seeing him, she shook her head and muttered. "Looks like I screwed this one up too..."

"I don't know. Maybe he is waiting for you?"

She still had time to catch the pirate if she got herself out the door, but she'd have to book it fast. Hard thing to do with a hangover.

"I doubt it..." She knew the stubborn man well enough to know that he wasn't going to dally around, for the likes of her of all things. "He won't pull anchor, he just wouldn't. I'll find him later and tell him what an ass it was of me, to not return last night. Truth be known, he was right." The two of them had heads harder than bricks.

"I don't know.. He does love you." And if need be, there was dragon back. Something not just anyone could do. Momma was after all very touchy about who she allowed.

"And I him..." Sitting back onto the arm of the couch, the coffee no longer mattered and it was set to the side on a table. "It was thoughtless of me.." May as well let them both cool off some, but she did glance out the window again. "You think he would leave, Icer?"

"Nae, I doubt he would."

About the time Ileen looked out the window again, of all people to be running up the steps. Pausing to catch his breath, was none of than Roth! " Captain! Jack is getting the crew together. Said something about leaving port with both ships. " Said once he pushed the door open as the man looked frantic.

Nodding at Icer's words, a swing of sight to the now reopened door and faced with Roth, Ileen growled. "I'll be a sonofa..." The last trailing off, she came from her placement and was brushing around Roth in a mere seconds. "He ain't taking the sloop...love or not, I'll kill him..." In that moment, Ileen was gone.

Roth turned to follow after Ileen.

"What do you mean both ships?!" Called over her shoulder to Roth, Ileen was heading straight for the docks, head swirling and ignored. "He ain't going anywhere with that ship....stubborn ass that he is! Claiming I am, maybe he just wants a reason!" The latter of that, not voiced to anyone imparticular.

And just as Roth had said. When Ileen hit the docks, more so where both ships were at. Both crews were fast at work on getting them ready to set sail, as it would be only moments before they would be ready to pull away. " Be hurrying up ye sea dogs!"

Ileen could hear Jack's voice. " I don't know, Ileen! He just said we had to get them both ready! " Poor Roth. His wife just got over being sick,
now this!

While the docking district was a flurry of life, there was always more so when it became known that one ship or another were leaving the harbor as the Master prepared the channel lines in assurance of safe passage out from other moored vessels. Both crews, running like mad men, the anchors were already being rolled in and the sound of Ileen's voice bellowed. "I'll sink the Sloop before you get out
of the harbor, Jack and you damned well know it. All of this, you gonna do? Really?" Calling up to him from the gangplank, she was closing the distance swiftly. "Take your own ship, if you want to get the hell out of here, you ain't got no right to anything else!"

Jack turned to face the oncoming fury of a red headed angry wench, head tilting slightly. " Ye be saying for me to be taking off, so I be doing just that. "A quick glance to Roth now who had joined Ileen, who gave the signal behind Ileen's back to drop anchor again. As well as to re prepare the ships to stay docked. " Or ye finally be willing to be admitting that I be right?" Stepping up to her to get nose to nose with her, to keep her focus on him and nothing else. While he tried not to smirk at her.

Head tilted back to stare way up at him, she was nearly spitting as she spoke at him, not to him. Fist's clenched, she waved one in the air as there wasn't room to get it in his face. "Right about what? That I was inconsiderate, Jack?! You're gonna threaten to leave because I was inconsiderate to not coming home last night?! That's a touch overdone, don't you think?!" A step back and she shoved him at the chest. "I think it's just a reason, an excuse....you been looking long for one, well I finally gave it to you, eh? Go on, go...but you ain't taking the Sloop."

" Be turning around. " After she shoved him away, and when she did. She'd see the men working to prepare the ships, once again to remain docked. With Roth trying to sneak away, as he was in on it as well. Jack meanwhile turned to head into his cabin. Letting her see that it was nothing more than a rouse at her expense. " And before ye be blowing yer stack again. I be telling ye like I be telling ye before. We be in this together, be it fer better or worse. "

Glancing over her shoulder, Ileen's gaze darted quickly over the men, one in which gave her a lopsided grin and a shrug. A lick of her lips and attention fell on Roth for a long moment, much too long in fact. Like the guts of a clock slipping into place to dong the top of the hour, it all suddenly made sense. What Jack didn't realize is that he took him making a simple point to all new level. He had made a complete fool of her, for what....at what expense and right beneath the noses that she had worked so hard to gain respect from....the crew.

"You just made this much worse, Captain..." Called after him, Ileen didn't bother to follow him. She was stunted and more angry than perhaps she had been in so many years. She didn't even go to fetch her coin, her clothing, or anything else including the legal documents from the cabin. Not lowering a longboat, Ileen climbed onto the rail and dove into the water, to begin swimming towards the Sloop.

He looked over his shoulder for a moment. " Bloody hell. " Coming out of the cabin as he watched her dive overboard, and start swimming towards the Sloop. With him watching her a moment, before getting a longboat lowered, then move after her. Would she reach the Sloop, or would Jack reach her first and haul her up into the longboat?

The crew in slow motion, was watching this unfold and Roth could not believe what was happening before their very eyes. Spotting the longboat and Jack, she swam faster and used the anchor ropes to begin climbing up the side of the Sloop, hollering all the while. "Aye, Jack...you were right, it was inconsiderate of me to not come home...! I stopped at the Inn to get my feet about me, before facing you! I know it was senseless! But you doing this?! YOU HAVE MADE A COMPLETE FOOL OF ME!" The blades she carried in her boots, floating to the top of the water, leaving her weaponless for the moment. "Turn around, go back and let me be! I mean it Jack....go."

He would pause to pluck her daggers from the water, before moving to climb up after her. Once his feet hit the deck of the Sloop, he'd cross his arms. " Ye men be going on home. " Waving the men off who didn't waste any time in leaving. They didn't want to see what might happen as they left the two captains alone. " I might be making a fool of ye, ye nattering she devil of a wench. " Freely admitting that. " But I still be here instead of taking off like so many others would of be doing. "

Whirling on him, Ileen literally lunged at him, fists flying. "What have I done, beside love and accept you for all that you are?! It's a game for you, to bring me to my knees whenever you are able and this time it takes the cake.." Scrambling off him. "It ain't like I was off in someone's bed! So I worried you a touch, you worry me DAILY! SO GO! Don't do me any favors and don't pity me...you made your point, Captain Morgan...now go!"

When the fist started to fly, he started to block them with his arms. Knocking them both down in the process, but before she could scramble away. He rolled over to pin her down to the deck of her own ship. " Ye be worrying me daily as well! I be knowing that man not be letting things be going as easily as he be trying to be making us think! " Staring down at her for a moment. " And ye can be saving yer breath on telling me to be going, because it ain't going to be happening. "

"So you're going to make an absolute idiot out of me in front of your crew....ain't mine as well, as you've pointed out so many times. You don't know the work it took to be treated as an equal, something you just cast to the side deeming it nothing. I am sure you and all of your men will be having a good laugh over it. Now get off of me, because you may not be going, but I am. GET OFF OF ME....NOW! I would prefer to have run into him, and die a swift death than the slow one I am facing now. OFF!"

He didn't move or say anything as he leaned down and just kissed the every living hell out of her. A very heated and very passionate kiss, letting it linger for a long moment before he leaned back and spoke. " If he be hurting a hair on yer head, then he be losing more than just one of his little buildings. He be losing everything he has. " Growled down at her. " And the crew still be respecting ye. Nor be ye going anywhere till ye be calming down. So ye can just be getting used to the idea that I be holding ye down till that happens."

For the first time since they had met, Ileen didn't give into him, nor did she return the kiss he bestowed. Something's could not simply be taken care of in such a way. But, she did force herself to relax beneath him. He wanted to ruse? She could play the same game. "Let me up, you are continuing to make a fool of me, an idiot no less."

He narrowed his eyes at her for a moment, before slowly moving to let her up. Taking a step back as well. " I might be making ye look like a fool, but sometimes ye be to bloody hard headed to be listening. " Now moving for the gangplank of the Sloop. " But if ye be wanting to be left alone. Then I be leaving ye be till ye cool off. "

Crawling to her knees and finding her stature, Ileen watched him go and strangely enough, she said not one word. Once he had cleared the plank, it was pulled up, as was the anchor. A tedious task to do on your own, but she accomplished it. She may have used ill judgment in not making sure he knew she was alright, it was thoughtless, but he had discredited her to an extreme level and that was something more painful than she would ever admit. Him of all people.

The ship would simply float for the time being until the afternoon tide came in. Not one time would he see the tears that were for him and him alone.

Ileen McGowan

Many year?s ago, Ileen had sailed the Sloop on her own, with very few crew but today, just maneuvering her to the north side of Rhydin proper completely alone, was a task that had her growing moreso angry, moreso bitter. But once it was accomplished and the ship was moored out of sight within a shrouded cove, she was rudely reminded that Bridget?s Revenge was being used almost as a storage vessel. It?s holds, quarters and galley were full of crates and barrel?s of powder. She couldn't depart or stay aboard until it was all cleared out and that would be a two day job at the least.

Hard pressed to admit she had been hurt, horribly so, it would be difficult to tell if anyone saw her. Regardless, she probably just resembled a furious female, which was not uncommon in this god forsaken city. The entire trip out to the cabin, she was either muttering or cursing to herself. While she understood the pirate to be worried, that gave him no right to do what he did to her in the aftermath of it.

Yell at her, be angered with her, chastise her for being thoughtless, yes. But to make an absolute fool of her, with the help of the crew was something akin to unforgivable. How could he have ever done something like that her, was anyone?s guess. But, who was guessing? Sure as hell wasn't Ileen. He clearly had no idea what it took to ever earn their trust.

Women were nothing short of a bad luck charm aboard a ship. Male dominated, it had been a struggle to even get the crew to look at her as an equal, much less a Captain. In the matter of his own selfishness to prove a point, he had destroyed that, no matter how he tried to convince her otherwise. It was very simple.

So while this had started over one thing, it was now entirely different and so very hard to swallow. He would never understand this, at least not coming from her. She was quite certain he would smirk at her for declaring anything of the sort. This was one of the problem?s, maybe neither of them expected. It was he, who did not separate him being worried about her on a personal level, and overlapped it to involve business. Their business.

Ileen could never even dream of being that hateful to him, that was until this morning. Slamming the door behind her, the windows of the cabin rattled and it would be only a matter of minutes that she changed into dry clothes and headed back into the city.

Captain Jack Morgan

Date: 2012-09-24 20:12 EST
Changed into a pair of dry cutoffs and a loose poet's blouse, the boots were still slosshing with every step and she wandered in through the backdoor. A cautious glance of the commons, she headed for the backside of the bar without the normal jovial outburst of a greeting to anyone.

"Hi, Miss Ileen. Want a watermelon?" He asked cheerfully, but tilted his head a bit as she seemed pretty quiet.

She was laughing soft in her throat at the thought of the dissident rabbit's corpse hunting its head yes. "That seriously sounds like a blast Des, except for the lack'a tomb traps yeah." Finger wiggling wave for Ileen, with the chime of bells; but yes the woman seemed rather subdued.

The pirate was there, in one of the booths sleeping. Feet kicked up in the seat across from him, head leaned back on the booth's wall. One hand wrapped around the neck of a rum bottle, and the other resting on the handle to a flintlock. Rather unaware of what was going on outside that booth at the moment.

"No thanks, Des..." Managing a smile for the boy, she was rooting around the shelves for something. "And hi, darlin'."

A nod for Thorn and whoever else, the bottle sought and found.

"Are you okay? You look kinna down." he pointed out, eyes promptly soulful.

A smile for Ileen in greeting.

Because Des' soulful eyes worked better than hers, Thorn let him take the charge on finding out what was up with Ileen. And sent amethyst eyed glances about the room while sipping her Pepsi.

"Aye, I'm fine." No need to worry, a wink for Des and she leaned there to snatch the cork from the bottle. That was until she spied familiar boots across the din.

She wandered up to the bar and grins at Leen.

Attention taken by Wanda. "Evenin' lass, how ya be?" The curve of her jaw rather tight, a long swallow was taken of the amber.

She smiled, "Well, and you?" She waved at Des in greeting.

Slowly he started to wake up, while bringing the bottle up for a sip. No rum. " Why is the rum always gone? " Murmured to himself as he blinked his eyes open, as he peered at the bottle. Then lowered his boots to the floor with a thump, followed by the bottle thumping on the table. Taking a moment to look around before spotting the wench, before moving to his feet. Empty bottle in hand as he swaggered towards the bar.

"Positively splendid..." Said, but there wasnt the trademark grin of her's present. "Silvermark for you?" She wasn't on duty, but this was Wanda. Aye, she saw him move, saw him get up, no she didn't throw anything at him nor did she blow his head off either.

"I gotta go wash dishes," He complained mildly, climbing down from his stool. He lugged a watermelon to Wanda. Take them. Eat them. "I'll get the wagon later. Bye, guysss!"

"Walk safely, Des..." Called over to him.

Maaannnnn. Ileen was going to do a beatdown on the Captain and Des had to go?!

"Oh, yes, please." She eye Leen a moment, "You alright?"

"Aye..." Nodding, Ileen reached for two bottles of the Silvermark and set them before Wanda with a glass. Gaze shifting to Jack, just keeping an eye on his placement.

Nods offered to that present as he moved behind the bar, stopping by Ileen's side to whisper into her ear for a moment. To low to be heard by anyone present, with a light touch to her shoulder afterwards as he dropped the bottle in the trash. Now moving to get another bottle of rum, and moved to head back out from behind the bar.

Head tipped to the right, she was eying Ileen and Jack a bit, in between watching the rest of the room and the people in it as much as possible.

"State that to the entire crew and that you're a jackass, and maybe we might have something to talk about.." That muttered to him and only him, she shook her head, watched him go and glanced for Wanda.

A glance over his shoulder. " I already be doing that, as they be yelling at me after I be leaving the ships. " He was one step ahead of her on that as he swaggered his way towars that booth again.

She arched a brow but did not do anything else except pay for her Silvermark. Nope, staying clear of this one.

Wanda's coin tossed to the till, Ileen really didn't move, nor say anything at the moment to Jack. She did however, mutter in the woman's direction. "I wonder if they ever stop not thinking before acting."

Into the booth he would go, feet kicked up again as he started in on that rum bottle. Giving the wench space right now, to keep a shoot out from happening.

"Talk to my twin about that one, He is the poster child for impulsive behavior on speed."

"I didn't know you were a twin, I am as well." Quietly spoken, a tilt of her head allowing her neck to crack, really wishing the hangover hadn't left. Anything was better than this.

She nodded, "Yeah, I have twin brother and a younger sister.... Aside from Calix."

"Calix is your brother, I wasn't aware. It must be nice to have other's as well. Sibling's that is..." Why Ileen never knew that, was anyone's guess.
She gave a shrug, "Calix and I adopted each other so to speak. My family is so dysfunctional..." She shook her head

Head leaned back in the booth again as he stared up at the ceiling now, with the lift and lowering of the bottle as he took swigs from it.

"Least you put the Fun into it..." A wry chuckle to that, Ileen shook her head and took another drink. "Family is just that...may be screwed up and nutty but when they ain't there no more, it's like your head's been lobbed off."

A pointed look at Jack to that, the grip tightened around the neck of the held.

Side glance towards the two women, only to blow a wink and kiss at Ileen for the pointed look.

"Agreed, there. I was so lost without at least my twin." She murmured softly. There was a glance at Jack a moment. "(vq) that bad, hmm?"

"He just doesen't think or consider me at time's. Which I guess is kinda normal and a bit to get used to.." Tone kept just as low, she nodded to Wanda's former comment. "Hold onto your twin, bad or not, once gone it's a walk I wish upon noone."

She nodded at that, "(vq) Finding a partner in this life is not easy, sometimes you take the good with the Bad. It makes them who they are... Warts and all."

Another swig of the rum as he looked ceiling wards again, with no clue what the two women were talkign about.

Hanging onto her word's, Ileen finally nodded and leaned over for some reason to press a kiss to the woman's cheek. If she killed her dead at that moment, Ileen wouldn't twitch too much. "Aye, you're right..." But that didn't mean she wasn't going to put him through hell first. A step to move around the bar.

She already puts him through hell!

"(vq) There are three kinds of families. The one you are born to, the one you bear and the one you take into your heart." She murmured softly... And yes, putting him through hell would be fun.

Wanda needed to write a book on Relationship's, she could make millions, or go nutty in the process. Nuttier, that is. Scooting around Thorn, a pat was given her hip and she leaned next to Wanda. She wasn't going over to Jack quite yet, still not fully in control of her senses, it may prove bad.

"They all hurt at different levels, moreso than other's I guess, but a decision is made of whether to deal with that or end it."

Nor was he going to get up again and swagger over to her at the moment. He was staying in that booth right now, until he needed another bottle, or until he headed for the door.

She was nutso enough without becoming the Ann Landers of Rhydin. "They do. I still have trouble talking with my father because of alot of the things he did. I... can't walk away because he is my father."

"Regardless of good or bad, you still respect him and maybe even love him. Walking away is the hardest and the most questioned when it comes to those entities..."

She nodded, "Harder when you give your heart and they as clumsy with it not realizing the gift they are holding."

"Aye, but if it's happening over and over, thats when you question yourself and your decision's..." The bottle set to the bar. "I'm gonna go talk to the sot..." No need for name's, it was pretty apparent which sot she referred this day.

Sot be he

"Yes, It needs to be looked at and I can have Ben and Pietro take him behind the barn to learn him one." She quipped 3/4s serious.

"I just might take you up on that..." Seriousness in her tone, she pressed from her place and headed across the commons towards that booth to slump into the opposite side.

When Ileen joined him in the booth, he looked around his booted feet at her. " Ileen. " Murmured tone, as he shifted his feet to the corner of the table.

A hand moving to shove his feet off, she leaned back and just stared at him. "Jack."

Narrow of eyes for a brief moment to that. " Ye be wishing to talk now? " Sitting up more as he set the rum bottle to the side.

"That's gonna depend if you're wanting to actually talk about it or belittle the fact of what was what. I will not deny that your concern was right, and well given. What happened after that, was uncalled for, Jack. What goes on between us is between us. I walked into your world, not the otherway around. Do you even remotely understand what that means?"

He actually remained silent as she spoke, before nodding lightly. " Aye. I be knowing that ye be walking into my world when we be starting to see each other, and that I be wrong in involving the crew the way I be doing earlier. I be sorry for that, Ileen. " His tone low and soft.

"And I'm sorry for making you worry. It was thoughtless of me."

" I be over reacting to it. " Murmured again.

Slumping down in the booth, a brush was given the hair falling in her face. "I will never be able to look at them in the eye again, Jack." That whispered.

" I be having a talk with them. They be on yer side on this one. Be trusting me, Ileen. They not be looking at ye any different. They be knowing that ye be just as hard a worker as them, sometimes even harder. They still be respecting ye."

"I'm not sure if I should think this was a bad idea to blend the two.." Looking away from him, she was fiddling with her fingers and near pulling a nail into it's quick. "Just ain't sure....aye?"

" It be a bad idea for me to do that, this time. " Pointing that out to her. " As for us continuing to be mixing the two. I'll be trying not to be doing that to ye or the crew again. "

Brows furrowing, she was taken aback by his words. For him to admit he is wrong was one thing, but him going a few steps further was something different.

First time for everything. Least he's willing to admit that he screwed up and owned up to it, not many would do that.

"I won't not come home again unless you're with me..." A meeting in the middle maybe? If one thing didn't happen, the second would never have happened. "I was wrong..." Gaze moving to him.

" We both be wrong in how we be handling it. " Murmured to her. " And it be alright if ye be going out, just be sure that ye be coming home next time. "

"Agreed." Finger then tracing the scars along the top of the table. "I'll move the sloop back around tomorrow at some point..."

" Be no rush on it. " Murmured as he finally lifted the bottle up for another swig. " Just as long as ye don't be trying to be shooting me in me sleep. "

"You mention this now, when I want to shoot you at least once per day?" A shake of her head and she waved him off. "Daft sot, pick and choosey now..." Turning slightly, she leaned her spine to the wall.

" Ye be wanting to be doing other things to me at least once a day as well. " Pausing for a moment. " So I be picking the one that not be sounding any fun to be saying that ye shouldn't be doing. " Now moving up to his feet. " Daft nattering sot of a wenching she devil. "

"Shooting you could be fun....for me..." Retorted, she watched him rise.

" Aye, but then ye be feeling sorry for shooting me and then be nursing me back to health. " Countering.

"Maybe..." Still watching him, eyes narrowed a moment. "Why are you hovering?"

" Maybe nothing. " Narrowing his eyes right back at her as he moved around to her side of the booth, and leaned in close for a moment. Nose to nose with her, only to flick his tongue against the tip of her nose. Turning a moment later to swagger his ass towards the door.

"Won't be fun till we're dead..." Finally, for the first time that day, she grinned and gave him a shove as she came up behind him. "Go already..."

Staggering forward, before openning the door for Ileen. " Wenchs first. " And the moment she stepped out first. Jack pressed a booted foot to her rear and pushed.

He was quick, but not quick enough, before his foot could lower a hand darted down and grabbed him by the ankle. A look over her shoulder at him as she had stopped walking. "The only foot that belongs anywhere, is mine straight up your ass...shall we try that?"

" I don't be thinking so. " On one foot now as he narrowed his eyes at her.

"You're smart at times..." Releasing her hold, she cleared the porch steps and started off not in the direction of the docks, but the opposite towards the cabin.

" Wench. " Muttered as he moved to follow her off the porch. She'd lower her guard.

During the matter of chaotic dealing's earlier that day, Ileen had failed to make Jack aware of what had in fact kept her attention at that Tavern the night before. It certainly wasn't playing cards, even though she had by far drank too much and left with a heavier pouch.

Exhausted, and full of recollection, she woke with a start and shook the pirate awake. "Bugger, I forgot to tell you something..." Ileen wasn't sure of the validity of it, but it wouldn't hurt to make a wee inquiry of the Harbor Master.

"Oh hell aye, Cleatus! Heavy in 'er teat an' even more so in 'er under! Jus' ain't got th' mean's t' go off an' chase 'er, y' ken?" The old Captain shook his head and finished off his tankard of ale.

Cleatus listened and listened well to Ray. He had known the man for many year's and he had never steered wrong in matter's such as the one being spoken of at the moment. "What name she be sailin' under, Ray?"

Wiping the spittle from his lips with the back of a hand, Ray leaned onto the table, the lack of tooth grin appearing. "Ocean's Gale, o' all thing's holy. Can ya right believe tha' nae? Sh' only bae a day's travel out by this point, dun pulled anchor in the wee hour's this day, an' to th' west, sooch a pity t' bae wasted."

What the loose lipped men failed to notice, was the red head sitting at a table not too far away from their's, playing cards that evening. Gaze never once fluttering towards them, but every word was taken in and speculated.

And so it goes....
