Ileen McGowan

The two days following the incident between herself, Jack and Patrick at the Inn, had been spent being scarce. She hadn't returned to either ship and was pretty much skirting the edges of things.

Still rather stung by the entire thing, she was more upset with the way Jack had been led right into the verbal spar with Patrick and had entirely insulted her by his declarations about their intimate life. In her mind, that was sacred. To display it in such a fashion, no matter how egged on by someone else was downright degrading and embarrassing. While Ileen was a lot of things, she was not to be treated as if she was someone's whore.

In her mind, that is exactly what had ended up being done. She was left feeling like some piece of meat that someone had to piss on, to stake a claim. That was unacceptable.

In a state of feeling like a boomerang, one day she was over the moon as she looked forward to getting married and the next she was questioning the whys of certain things.

It was best she step away and gather her thoughts. So that was exactly what she did after leaving Jack a note on his desk, explaining she was going to the cabin and why. She also asked him to please leave her be for a couple of days. Hopefully, he understood. If not, that was obviously his problem.

As for Patrick, she wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire.

Captain Jack Morgan

As those two days came and went after the verbal sparing between Jack and Patrick. Ileen had kept to herself and away from the ships, as well as Jack himself.

The morning after. Jack found the note that Ileen had left for him, already having a feeling to what it said. Little did Ileen know, that Jack knew he messed up when he was allowed to be baited into that verbal sparing match. He would respect her wish for him to stay away until she sent word to him.

The crew somehow had heard about it as well, and each one had a few words with the captain. Telling him that he should be more careful with whom he gets drawn into a verbal sparing match with, as well as certain things should never be talked about in public.
