Talkinghead Ned

Where, oh, where, my many followers are asking, do I find all of the news that's fit to stream (in small, pithy but impactful and virtually uninformative headlines)? If you've entered that very question in the sector database, then the search spiders have carried you to me here. You are now mine to do with as I - ahem.

News comes from many sources, is the answer. Reporters throughout the Nexus, across all of the known and (sometimes unknown) multi-mega-universes receive mere pitances for risking their lives and sending in the things they know, have witnessed, suspect, or experienced during an algon-induced trance state. We here at Nexus Newstream HQ painstakingly pick through each and every one of these to provide you with the hottest items and then tell you next to nothing about them!

And aren't you glad we do?

Occasionally, a person or event warrants a special spacial spatial report, from yours truly, of course. When that happens, the news crawl will be pre-empted so you can see, and hear, me, Ned Talkinghead, tell you everything I think you need to know about it. Stop what you're doing and watch in wonder when the Nedstream happens. It's only natural.

((A few have PMed me asking where I get the news headlines Ned runs. Some of it comes from things I read in the posts on Dragonsmark, some comes from chat logs, and some come from factoids that you have sent in. For example, the Governor's player has been sending me juicy bits. Thanks! I also pull a lot of it completely out of - ahem - thin air.

Ned is a serious artificial news personage, which means that his talent and ego know no bounds, but he's programmed to give out nearly everything in soundbites and bullet points. I, on the other hand, am happy to work with you if there are things you think are news-worthy in three sentences or less. Just PM me!

What probably won't appear in the Newstream are advertisements or promotional announcements for events or services. There are other venues for those, such as the Playables folder. And honestly, if Ned publicized all of your birthday parties or magical orgies, when would he have time to get in a round of video golf? Even Ned has priorities.

And now, back to your headlines.))
