'Take Back the Night,' a RhyDinian vampire rights group, is gearing up to petition for a change in the language used by the government in reference to vampiric citizens.

A spokesperson for the organization, who asked to remain anonymous, said in a statement sent to the Nexus newstream HQ, "We plan to take the battle all the way to the Governor and the Advisory Council, but first, we want to start with the public. The language people use reflects their attitudes and biases. Changing the terminology used to refer to groups has been shown to begin the process of reversing attitudes."

The statement went on to read, "Rather than 'bloodsucker,' or 'vamp,' or 'undead,' - which is, by the way a blanket perjorative used to refer to many unvivified subgroups, including vampires, zombies, spectral citizens and a score of others - we would prefer to be called 'hemophagic citizens'. It reflects the gist of the medical dietary condition accurately, without classifying it as 'bad' or 'deficient'."

We'd like to know what you think. How should hemophagic citizens be addressed in public discourse? Take the interactive Nexus Newstream poll and let us know.
