The arrangements with the moving men were simple enough. Rosie really didn't have all that much stuff, most of it was her kitchen gear. Each pot, pan, serving bowl, right down to each piece of silverware was packed carefully to insure no breakage. Each peice had a special meaning for her.

"All of these boxes, ma'am?"

A curt nod then she gestures to the convection ovens and mixing stands. "Those go too. Just be very careful with them. They're my bread and butter, so to speak."

They moved quickly and in no time, the kitchen to the Villa was empty. Not even a box of saltines was left in the pantry.

Dakota's belongings would remain in one of two places. He had his gym equipment set up in the basement and the belongings she boxed up in the closet. The instructions to the movers were explicit on these items. "Do not touch."

Except for thier bed, the bedroom, living room and guest bedroom furniture all went into the moving truck. Drapes, curtains, wall hangings and especially the little statue of herself that Julie had given her were all packed up and into the truck.

Basically, she left him an empty house with a nice gym in the basement and a bed to sleep in.

Rosie would ride with the movers in the cab of thier truck. She was going to be there as they moved her belongings into her new home.

Unlocking the door to her new home for the movers, she marched in and led them to the kitchen. She knew exactly where she wanted everything and pointed out where the two convection ovens would go. Up against the side wall of the kitchen, furthest back as you walked in. Her stand mixers would go to either side. The rest of the boxes that were marked for the kitchen would be piled either on the counters or the floor. Her kitchen table would be at the entrance to her kitchen.

The movers were quick and efficient. Living room furniture arranged just how she wanted it around the fireplace. The boxes containing the wall hangings, drapes, curtains and the statue, against the wall of the living room. The guest bedroom furniture set up in that room as well.

When the movers finally left, only two rooms remained empty. The very first room at the beginning of the hall and the master bedroom.

Not staying very long after the movers were gone, she had a bedroom suite to buy and some arrangements to be made.

The first thing she did was head on over to the RDI. Guido was an easy enough fellow to bribe. What man doesn't soften up to the promise of a nice steak dinner with all the fixings? Not to mention the ten gold pieces she'd given him.

Dean's belongings would be moved from room 10 and into the house that afternoon, he'd promised. Rosie warned him that it was a surprise for Dean and Guido said he'd keep it between them. She knew him to be a man of his word and left it at that.

The furniture store was a different story. The salesmen were pesky as flies and they thought they could get one over on Rosie. But she wasn't going to fall for thier games. She had found the bed she wanted, but would leave and visit other stores before finally coming back to purchase the bed.

There were actually a few suites that would be nice but the four poster bed with the gauzy canopy and matching drawers and chest with a mirror was her favorite. She even managed to skim the retail price down to wholesale after offering a discount on catering.

The salesman had her card and she'd have her bedroom suite within the hour.

After watching the delivery men set up the suite and the RDI guys set Dean's belongnigs into the small bedroom down the hall, she went back to the RDI to wait for Dean.

The day had been long and quite expensive, but it was definitely worth it. Her savings was just about depleted. But she had everything she needed and she had a source of income that would not quit. The Deli was going stronger every day.

When Dean arrived in the common area of the inn, she couldn't hide the excitement in her face.

"I've a surprise for you!"

He'd embrace her, then hold her out at arm's length, an amused smile and his brow raised up a notch. His hazel eyes studying her face.

"What is it, Rose Petal?"

He didn't even have time to sit and drink a bottle of water before Rosie took him by the hand and was leading him towards the new house. She hadn't even told him she was looking for a house. So when she walked up to the door and opened it for him, surprise definitely registered on his face.

She gave him the grand tour of the kitchen, living room, hallway and the master bedroom. Then she opened the door to the room with his belongings in it. Our girl had taken the time to set up hs easel near a window. "I took the liberty of having your belongings moved from the RDI. Are you mad?"

Dean was stunned, to say the least. He looked about the room, then down to Rosie, incredulous. Sweeping her into a hug, his smile genuine as he whispered into her ear, "How can I be angry with you, Rose Petal. I love it."
