While Dean had been on tour with Jam and the rest of the guys, Rosie had missed two of her monthly visitors. She hadn't said a peep about it to anybody, secretly happy that she and Dean were expecting again. Or so she thought. Going about her daily routine, thoughts of a new baby had her smiling and humming happily. The only person she confided to was Daniel.
So when Dean got back home, she was going to tell him. But it kept getting put off and put off. Mostly because the house was full of people welcoming him home. The constant flow of people had her fatigued and she went to lay down for a nap.
She didn't know when the pains started. Wasn't really aware of them actually. A moan in her sleep may have been the only indication that something was wrong. But that easily could have been mistaken for a bad dream. The doctors later would tell Dean that Rosie wasn't pregnant, she had a very fast and aggressive form of fallopian cancer. While the tumor hadn't been large, it'd been large enough to rupture the tube it had lodged itself into.
The bleeding internally had Rosie shivering and unconsciously she pulls the blankets up over her. Her breathing became labored and shallow. Once pale skin had taken on a soft blue hue as the blood was no longer reaching it.
Laughter from the other room filters into her subconscious as she slips from a dream into a velvety dark place. And as the bleeding into her belly continues, a soft smile curls the corners of her mouth as she silently slips away.
The coroner's report stated that the rupture caused massive internal hemmorage and that she passed quickly and with very little pain.
Date and time of death: 8:30 am, June 10.
