When she saw Wyheree's reaction to the groom's cake, she smiles proudly. "I thought he would love it, and you too!" Watching her Sissy's face carefully as she flipped through the pictures, she could see that none of them fit the bill.
That was fine with Rosie. She was always up for a challenge of something new. The description of the "ice cake" had her clapping her hands and squealing. "It's beautiful!" A short pause, as she grabs up a pencil and pad of paper, handing it across the desk to Wyheree. "Here, draw it and then describe it. That way I don't leave out a single detail!"
She cants her head slightly as Wyheree offered the services of the Sea Wolf's chef. "Oh, the more skilled hands, the better! And I'll finally get to meet this wonderful chef you're always speaking of. I can't wait!"
She pulls down a form that has a list of menu options on it. Gazing upon the form, she then, too, hands this to Wyheree. "Here are our most popular menus. Please feel free to mix and match. And I'll make sure the calzones are a part of it"
Dinner entree menu choices:
SMOKED RACK OF LAMB......With pomegranate sauce.
FILET MIGNON.....Served with a sauce of shallots, horseradish, peppercorns & cognac.
PORK NORMANDY....Pork loin simmered in nutmeg, white wine, apples, garlic, fennel, thyme & marjoram. Served over fresh pasta.
RACK OF LAMB....Marinated in olive oil & herbs. Served with madeira sauce.
Hors D'oeurves options:
MEAT & CHEESE "CRUDIT?"....Mesquite smoked turkey, served with roasted red pepper butter, honey baked ham, salami, Mesquite smoked roast beef, sliced cheeses, onion, tomatoes, pickles, pepperoncini, sunflower sprouts, rolls & condiments served in hollowed out squash cups. Served in a basket "Crudit? style".
CALZONE....Chevre, ricotta, mozzarella & garlic baked in puff pastry. Made to order with your choice of pepperoni or sausage.
MINI TOSTADAS....Corn tortilla rounds topped with black beans, marinated grilled pork, fresh corn, red bell pepper "confetti" & dry aged jack cheese.
