Sjira

Spring had come, in the middle of Winter. At least, it was how it felt.

S?jira was up early that morning to find ice and snow had ground much of RhyDin Proper?s normal bustling activating to a sleep filled quiet. She crouched before the small hearth in the Loft that was known to exist about the stables; located not far from the Red Dragon Inn. Hems of her soft-left night shift were edged up and out of the way just an inch or two, keeping the soot and embers from them.

When she had the fire back to life again, she remained before the hearth to look to the sleeping form on the floor nearby. Through the fall of her dark hair, eyes watched the Ranger sleep on the layers of pelts and beneath a warm wealth of covers.

A smile found that gaze in the time she made a watching of him. Finally, attention spent away from him to the sheathed sword that rest to the small table. In quiet, allowing him to sleep in the pallid very early morning hour, she drew up to delicate height and moved through the room on bare feet.
The room was in a wonderful disarray from the night before and she saw to bringing some neatness and order to it. After clothing and more were neat in their arrangements on the chairs at that table where weapons rested, ?jira washed and dressed.

An undecorated dress of brown was buttoned snuggly about her midriff with its little wooden toggles, over a warm and long-sleeved underdress of white. Small were tucked into her boots before she buckled her belt about her waist with her coin pouch and two others.

Over her shoulder, she stole another glance of the sleeping Ranger. A smile to him that would go unnoticed in his sleep. Heart was growing lighter and easing more with each day in the knowing of him.

On a piece of parchment, she answered a note from Aaric that she had received. At his request, she would meet him soon since this friend had not been seen in a very long time.

Then she took the time to write one more, to Hawk.

?Hawk,

There are work-errands to do and must be done. These will be seen to. If you hunger, there is meat, cheese, and a cork-bottle of mango juice one the table. May the road be clear and your way free of danger.

This heart is warmed by you,

s?jira?

The small one then pulled her old, brown short cloak from its wall peg and donned it. Once it was tied off, she made her way from the Loft. There were things to see to that day. Among them was a visit to the docks, the cemetery, and the inn.
