Less and less, the small one was seen among those who frequented the Red Dragon Inn.

But this was how things happened in the lands...or so the small one had been told many times by the Fisherwoman, Thale.

S'jira still felt the loss of the Fisherwoman deeply. Her heart still felt from the elder woman's death had not lessened by a lot and the score upon her soul was one that was yet unhealed. The loss was of a mother or older sister and 'jira could not console herself fully of it.

Images of the funeral pyre and of relatives and people the fisherwoman knew still invaded the days' thoughts when she least expected it. But with passing day, the pain faded; albeit by very small amounts. When the images came, she chided herself for it. Sometimes failing while most times she succeeded. Too often, she simply felt far too much about and for others known to her. Depression settled at times that withdrew the small one all-together from the eyes of the public, though she had never been one to be at its epicenter. One day at a time, one day more and then another.

Work. It was very natural for 'jira to find a task and by the working of it and with the completion of it..she found peace to have some purpose. But, with a slight amount of guilt in her heart, she spent some of her time in the Glen. There, peace was found.

Today was one of those that she had sought her way from the area of the inn and loft to spend some time among the sun and shade of the Glen. When she slipped down from the back of the large horse, her hand patted softly against his neck. Then drew up onto her toes to remove the bridle from him. Pack and blanket were removed as well to let the horse roam the Glen and graze. Each of the things were set in the shade that the branches of a large, old tree that stood beside the lake. Perhaps a nap beneath those protective boughs was planned, but she was already removing the tethers of her sandals and putting them aside.. before she was wading into the lake for a cooling swim from the warmth of the day...
