Ishmerai made the delivery to Matadero himself. The knight did not wish to entrust the task to anyone else after Jewell had warned him that he shouldn?t send anyone that wasn?t potentially expendable. The fae knight was certainly not expendable, but he was fairly cautious and extremely dangerous in his own right.

He also didn?t mind making the trip even if delivering an iron-lined cage of screeching and screaming pixies counted as one of the more unsavory things he had done for his lady. Lately.

Although honorable, the knight?s moral code did not preclude him from delivering the group of pixies to an excruciating death. Especially not when these pixies had proved treacherous, betraying and endangering the life of the Empress of Little Elfhame. In fact, Ishmerai hoped they did not die too quickly. Jewell had reassured him that, although she was too busy to get her hands dirty in this matter, Sal and Cane were sure to do a satisfactory job.
