?I have a temporary favor to ask you, Salvador.?

His attention turned right on over to Sin, directly, when that confession was stated. He stared, waited, his expression clearly asking. Yes?

?I am going to find Kavi this weekend,? he announced. ?But seeing as I don't have my own space again--?

Salvador could see where this was going. Oh no. Oh please God no.

?It's temporary,? he finished, before Salvador could protest. ?A couple weeks. Maybe a month.?

Horror was very clearly written in the fae-child?s widened rusty eyes.

?She likes you,? Sin went on. No she didn't.

?Uh?? He straightened up. ?I-- I'm not sure that's-- I mean-- Nikky might eat her.? Which did not really concern Salvador in the least, to be honest. He grasped for any excuse he could think of to dissuade the sinner from this absurd and disconcerting course of action.

?Nothing else has eaten her yet.? Which, all things considered, was kind of surprising.

?True....? Salvador could not argue that point. He made a face though. Goddamn that stupid cat. ?Nnnngh. Fine.? Stupid effing cat.

Sinjin's expression was well and truly grateful -- and relieved.

Honestly, he'd do anything for Sinjin. Didn't we know this by now? He might not like it, but... anything. ?You're lucky I goddamn love you.? Because he hated that cat.

?I am,? Sin agreed as he leaned to press a kiss to the boy's jaw. ?Gracias, alma.? And that's when he stepped away to head toward the door. ?Stay out of trouble, hm?? That seemed to be directed to both Thorn and Sal.
