They were disappearing.


The process began slowly at first and Rhy'din, te city of pleasant ignorance, perhaps did not notice the half-breeds missing at first. Most were not missed: homeless half-elves, dhampirs, or mutts with too many races in them to even tell what they were. It was when Big D the half-minotaur shop keeper in the Marketplace went missing that people began to take note. Amongst the commoners, the city was taking on a nervous air: where were they going? What became of them?


Meanwhile, the skeletal cats were beginning to roam the streets with reckless abandon. Pantherghasts, the letters whispered, and they were beginning to grow more brave, even after multiple defeats.


Run, the letters pleaded, but no one listened.
