He slides out of the bed they shared the night before and walks to the window. The sun was coming up over the water and it brings him peace to see it. Things were finally going so right and the love that he, Gage and Cole shared was perfect. Well, in his eyes it was perfect anyway. They'd talked about telling the other brothers, but now he was unsure again. How would they take it?

He pulls on his sleepy pants and with a last look back at the bed, he smiles. There are his sleeping angels. Slipping out of the room, he walks down the hallway to Chris' room. If he couldn't tell his own brother, then who could he tell? He went to Chris' door and stood there, composing in his head what he'd say. Finally a short knock and he pushes into Chris' room.

Chris was sprawled out on his bed, in a dead sleep. The day before, all that running and football worn him out and the rest for once was welcomed. A few mumbles here and there but otherwise he was in a deep sleep.

He slowly crosses the floor and stands there, watching his brother sleep. How will he take it? He'd never felt more like running from a place than he did right now. But he steels himself and walks over to the bed and shakes it. "Hey.. Chris."

That jolts him from his dream, was it another attack?! He jumps up in the bed. His eyes still sleepy and his hair jutting up at all angles. "Back the hell off bro!" He held a pillow ready and aimed.

He can't help but laugh. Whether or not Chris liked to admit it, he was more like Dirk than he knew. Pulling up a chair he casually sits down in it. Well, as casually as he could. Inside his nerves were singing. "Down boy, not here to fight you."

He keeps the pillow close but to his body now and flops down on the bed. "What are you doing here man, I'm sleeping, or was.." A glare and soon he was tossing a pillow at his brother.

He catches the pillow and shoots right right back. "Something I need to tell you." He looks over at his brother and sighs. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all.

The pillow smacks him on the head, sending those blond locks to fly in the air then back down. But he grabs the pillow and shoves it under his head. "What?"

He looks into those eyes, so much like his own. How hard was it to tell Chris that he was in love? "um, I found somebody."
Yea, Dirk, that was smooth. And tell him, while you're at it, that the sky is blue.

He squints his eyes at his brother. "You found someone for what?" He was confused and it showed on his face. His head tilts slightly.

"Chris, I'm with somebody. And I wouldn't tell you, only it may affect you." He sighs and puts his head in his hands. Boy, this was going well. Let's pull out a couple of toenails while we're at it, huh?

Now he sits up in the bed, pillow on his lap. "What do you mean?" He watches his brother closely, this isn't like Dirk at all.

A heavy sigh and he sits back on the chair, letting his arms dangle down the side. Chris wasn't catching on and this was getting harder by the minute. Ok, big guy, just blurt it out. "I'm in love with somebody, Chris. They love me too."

He shrugs. "Good for you? I mean how does that affect me, I'm happy for you, maybe you will stop being such a dickhead." He grins.

He chuckles at that, typical response from Chris. Then his face turns serious again. "I don't want people calling you names because of my relationship. Chris, it's Gage and Cole."

Now he found that funny. He shakes his head and laughs. "You guys trying to mess with me or what."

He shakes his head. "No. I'm being serious. Where do you think I spent last night?"

And it hits him, and hits him hard, his brother is serious. He sits there, jaw open slightly, just enough to give him that look of shock.

He swallows hard. Another soft sigh and he reaches out and touches Chris' shoulder. "Yea, that was my reaction too. But I've had these feelings for a long time, Chris."

"Wait so all of you are together, together?"

A slow nod follows. "Yea, me Gage and Cole. Just don't tell anybody. Ok?"

He snorts. "I always knew you were a girl." But that smile gave him away, he got it, and he didn't care, this was his brother and he loved him.

He leans forward and slides out of the chair and hugs his brother. "Thanks Chris."

"Yeah now get out so I can sleep." He pushes his brother away and lays back down, pillow over his head.

He picks up that pillow, then stands up. Grinning down at his brother, he takes the pillow with both hands over his head and with a swishing arc, it comes down on his head. "Love you, bro."

"I knew you would attack me!" He grabs that pillow and pulls it back over his head. "Gooooo." He whines. "Sleep good, go away." He laughs then buries himself in the covers.

"See ya Chris." But before he goes, he pulls that pillow away and leans over and gives his brother a big wet smooch to his cheek. Laughing, he leaves the room.

The sound of Chris screaming follows him down the hallway to Gage's room.
