Dirk had gone about his daily routine with much more energy for the past week or so. Ever since he had found out that his cousin, and partner in crime, Oliver was coming to the frat house, Dirk had been on cloud nine. To anybody who would listen, he would recount over and again the antics and trouble that he and his cousin had caused and gotten into.
So the day arrives and Dirk wakes up early. He showers and does his daily stuff with half the time it usually takes. Oliver was due to arrive at two in the afternoon. And here it is only 9 am. He had woken up Gage and got a pillow thrown at him for his trouble on that. Gage loved his sleep. So he goes down to eat breakfast.
Dirk keeps checking the clock. Time hadn't moved so slow in all of his life. After breakfast, it was only 1030 in the morning. Maybe a swim would make the time go by faster! So he gets changed and goes to the pool area. Diving in, he swims for what seems, to him, hours. Getting out of the pool finally, he checks the time. Only 12!!
He dries off and goes into the house. A movie would definitely make the last couple of hours go by more quickly. It had to! So he pops a movie into the DVD player and starts watching it. After the first half an hour or so, his eyes keep going to the digital clock on the DVD player. 1230 ticks by. He tries his best to concentrate on the movie. But his eyes flicker to the clock again... 12 45. Good grief would the time ever speed up?!
Dirk hears the crunch of tires on the gravel outside and he jumps from the couch. Racing to the door, only to see that it's another of Julian's little latinas. "Oh hi." he steps back. "Up the stairs, third floor, second door on the right." Ah well, he goes back to trying to watch the movie.
By this time it's 130 and the movie is over and Dirk is standing by the door, looking out the window. He could barely hold his excitment in a moment longer. He hadn't seen his cousin in what seemed a lifetime!
The moment the car pulled up and Ollie stepped out of it, Dirk was at the door, opening it wide and stepping out onto the porch. "Ollie!" he laughs and rushes to him, embracing him tightly. With a couple of claps on the back he stands back with a huge grin on his face. "Man, you've grown!"
