Brandon couldn't tell you the date, time or even what the weather was like outside the day he met her. He had been watching television, he does know that much. But to tell you what was on? Forget it. He had been in the living room of the main Pi Omega Pi house, watching television alone. He can't even tell you if he had a drink or snacks. All he can remember is that when she walked into the room, the world came to an abrupt and screeching halt.

His ability to speak seemed to come to a halt just as quickly. She was, in a word, a knockout. So beautiful, so graceful, her every move fluid and simply perfect. Did her feet even touch the ground? Brandon doesn't seem to think so. Angels don't walk the earth, they float above it. Right?

So there he was, in the presence of the most beautiful girl, and unable to speak. He sputtered out a hello. He stuttered through small talk. The Angel, who later became known as Emma, seemed to think it cute or funny as she giggled and smiled through it all.

They had went for a walk. Or perhaps a swim. Maybe both? All Brandon knows is that their first meeting is like a dream to him. And their first kiss, like heaven. How soft and warm she felt in his arms, forever sketched into his memory. And as she willingly gave her kiss to him, he hungrily took her offerings.

He can remember his heart thundering in his chest. They had went dancing and their relationship kicked up from friends to best friends. While they were swimming later in the evening, he asked her to be his, exclusively. And to his wonderment, amazement and utter happiness, she said yes. They became an official couple.

They have been inseperable since. If not at Brandon's room, then they could be found at Emma's guesthouse. Being that his angel is the neice of Wren, Brandon tries to keep on his toes and do nothing but the right and honorable things by Emma. But temptation is difficult to overcome.

The past two months were a whirlwind to Brandon. Emma had Brandon wrapped around her tiny finger. And when he told her he loved her for the first time, he could scarcely hear her reply, his heartbeat was so loud in his ears. Time stood still once more as she uttered those three precious words back to him. And when she did, he thought his heart would burst with happiness.

As with all things, time flies when you are having fun. This was especially true when Brandon spent time with his Angel. He lost count of the times they walked hand in hand down the paths of the compound. He chattered like a monkey in a tree while Emma just seemed to smile and nod at his silly stories. Their love grew as they spent more time doing little things.

And then came the camping trip. All of the brothers that were going were so excited to do so. Brandon was no exception. But he had mixed feelings about it. He wasn't sure that Emma would be able to go. At the last minute, the beautiful Emma showed up at his door wearing cute boy shorts and a barely there top. Brandon was in heaven yet again.

She said she was going! And after having their bags placed into the van, Brandon lifted Emma and set her down in his lap. They spent the entire ride to the campground that way. His arms draped across her back as they both snoozed. Whispers, kisses and soft laughs were exchanged as well.

Her uncle had arranged for her to stay in a cabin. Of course the niece of the former president couldn't possibly sleep in a tent! They settled into the little nest and things became quite heated. Unfortunately, a knock to the door stopped them from continuing. It was merely Jamie, handing out the schedules that Jaden had made for the activities.

As the weekend went by, Brandon found himself inside that cabin more than out. The nights were spent with the rest of the guys around a camp fire. With Emma in his lap or by his side at all times, he was the happiest man in the campsite. That he was certain of.

Emma and Brandon had taken a nature hike one day. Brandon had it all planned out. A picnic basket on his arm that had a blanket, sandwiches and a bottle of wine and glasses. He was prepared. When they got to the clearing, there had been two bear cubs wrestling on the other side of the flower covered glen. Brandon pointed them out with a soft laugh and Emma pointed out that momma bear was probably somewhere nearby.

Plans thwarted, Brandon left the picnic basket sit in the glen to keep the bears from following them as they turned and skirted the glen, and found another trail to follow. Laughing and playing tag between and beneath the trees, Brandon came to a screeching halt when he heard Emma shriek, as if in fear.

He ran to where she was and came to another screeching halt. Emma was up on the shoulder of none other than Gage. Gage was the biggest brother that he knew. Taking several gulps of air, he calmly asked Gage to put her down. He even threw in a please when Gage seemed reluctant.

Finally Gage put Emma down and stormed off. Seems that the guys had been looking for Emma and Brandon for more than an hour when they didn't show up for dinner. Feeling like a heel, Brandon held onto Emma's hand and walked back to the camp in silence, his head down.

When they got back to camp, the guys were sitting around the fire. Gage seemed to be pacing, irritated. Brandon ignored all of that and fixed a plate of food for himself and stayed by Emma's side. Gage had yelled at Brandon, and finally Brandon looked up at Gage. He protectively went between Gage and Emma and stood his ground.

Luckily for Brandon, Dean showed up and put an end to the tension. Emma had went back to the cabin and when Brandon turned around, he followed her there. He apologized to her and she forgave him. They spent the rest of the trip in the cabin.

Soon it was time to go home. After lovingly packing their things, Emma and Brandon spent a long morning, saying goodbye to the cabin. And then it was onto the vans. They slept the entire way home.

Since returning from the camping trip, things had been going very well for Brandon and his Angel. He had moved his belongings down into the guest house so he could spend every possible waking and sleeping moment with her. His world now completely revolved around Emma.

While she was off studying the magical arts with her uncle, Brandon spent the time either playing with the children on the compound, or hanging out with Dean. Dean had really become somewhat of a mentor to him and treated his advice as if it were gold. To him, Dean was all wise and all knowing.

It was one of those times that Brandon was hanging out with Dean at the Red Dragon Inn that something that had been troubling Brandon finally came spilling out. Brandon knew in his heart of hearts that there would be no other woman in his life than Emma. He could see their unborn children in her eyes. He felt free to talk about anything to her.

So he asked Dean for advice. Should he buy Emma a promise ring. Dean really couldn't say yes or no. He honestly didn't know how Emma would take it. But Dean's girlfriend, Rhyannon, and her friend, Lyren seemed to understand and gave him a woman's perspective.

"If you know she's the one, do what you feel in your heart to do. If you don't, you might wait too long and then it might be too late." That was from Lyren. Rhyannon said that if he were feeling doubts, if he didn't know if it were the right time, then maybe it wasn't. Brandon left the Inn that night confused. He took a long walk and mulled it over in his head.

He found himself in the Market. Looking at the different displays through their glass windows when he finally found the perfect gift for Emma. He was so excited that he could hardly wait until the next day for the shop to open. But he would have to wait. The store was closed for the evening.

The next morning, after breakfast and making love to Emma once more, he kissed her goodbye as she went off to study with her uncle. That gave Brandon the perfect chance. He hurried to the market place and found the store. The shopkeeper was more than happy to sell the items that Brandon had requested, and even put them in a black velvet box with satin lining.

Once Brandon returned home, he put the box under her pillow and waited.

Brandon had worried himself over the next few weeks about how to give Emma the promise ring he had bought. It was a simple white gold band with a small diamond set in a whorl of filigree silver. It was delicate and beautiful. It was everything he saw in her. The diamond was eternal, the ring, a symbol of never ending love. It was perfect. He just needed the perfect way to give it to her.

Thinking he'd test the waters first. He had bought a diamond and ruby necklace and earring set. Not having the nerve up yet to give her jewelry face to face, he had that delivered to her. And he waited an agonizing two days before finally going to see if she received the set. When she said she had received the set and that they were lovely, Brandon was elated.

Brandon had brought with him a bouquet of red roses, a box of Russell Stover's caramels and the ring. Instead of letting himself into the house, he knocked at the door and then went down on one knee. He held up the bouquet so that when Emma opened the door, that's what she would see first. Her smile was radiant and Brandon presented the box of caramels next, encouraged by her smile.

Then he slid the box out of his pocket and held it up to her. He thought he saw a tear in her eyes when she opened it up. Brandon explained that it was a promise ring and that it held within it his promise to remain loyal and true to his angel. As she slipped the ring onto her finger, Brandon rose and took her into his arms.

"I love you." he whispered into her ear as he kissed her cheek. "I love you too, Brandon." she cried softly. He lifted her off of her feet and walked into the house. No other words were said as the flowers and chocolates dropped to the floor. Her arms around him tightly, and his around hers as the door closed behind them.

As the days turned into weeks, then weeks turned into months, Emma and Brandon had settled into a bit of a routine. Every morning he woke up with his Angel in his arms. He loved to watch her sleep. The way her nose delicately flared as she breathed slowly. And when her eyelids fluttered open, he was there to greet her with a smile and a warm embrace.

They would take their leisure in the mornings, they could be in the bed for hours before finally rising. Their lovemaking was slow and passionate. "I love you." Said over and over and the heartfelt words resounded and echoed off the walls, mingled with their cries of passion. They would cling to one another and only begrudgingly get up to get dressed and start the rest of their day.

They usually didn't spend a lot of time eating breakfast. Whatever was on hand or what Cook had made before a quick kiss good bye for the day. Emma would go off to study with her uncle or out on a photo shoot. Brandon spent his days hanging out with his brothers, taking the children of the compound to the park. He even worked at the Deli a couple of days a week.

On this one particular evening, Brandon was waiting for Emma when she got home. He was upstairs, after a long day of doing pretty much nothing. He hadn't shaved, or even changed out of the shirt he had worn to bed. Comb his hair? Forget about it. This was his lazy day and that's just what he did, laze around and do nothing all day.

So when Emma got home, she was greeted with Mr. Five O'clock Shadow. She didn't seem to mind as he followed her up the stairs. His Angel was being a bit of a vixen as she climbed those stairs. Even flashing her black lace and satin panties for him. But, Brandon had a surprise for her.

Immediately on reaching the bedroom, the kisses became much more heated. The touches, more passionate and they made love. In the afterglow, they snuggled and talked about the future. Babies came up and she said she wanted to do things the right way. He could not have agreed with her more.

Just as quick as you please, Brandon was up and out of the bed. He grabbed the box that he'd been saving for weeks in his underwear drawer and came back to the bedside. He knelt and asked her to marry him, right there and then. He was elated when she dove after him and they made love again on the floor. The way she said yes was amazing to him.

They spent the rest of the night holding each other and gazing at the ring on her finger. Brandon's heart felt like it would explode every time she smiled. He was going to be hers, forever.
