So he'd finally decided to do something with his life. That's what he'd told his father who seemed relieved. Much to Dad Floyd's dismay, Matt went on to tell him it was to join a fraternity. At least he wouldn't have to deal with the hard-headed boy anymore.

With his girlfriends help, he'd gotten all his things packed up into his old red jeep and gunned it on over to the Pi compound. Audra had to work, so his first visit to the Pi place would be solo.

Gravel crunched loudly under the weight of his tires as he pulled in, a hand moving to grab the shades off his face and toss them on the passenger seat. Grey-green eyes drank in the magnificent sight... he was really happy to be a part of the family now, even though Audra wasn't exactly thrilled with the knowledge that he wouldn't be at her beck and call anymore.

Bring on the brothers!

He had heard the crunch of the tires and jumps up from the couch with a clap of his hands. Rubbing them together and grinning madly, he was waiting for a new mommacita to show up. He throws open the door to find a Jeep sitting there. No mommacita to be found. His smile fades just a bit, but then is back in full force within seconds.

"Hola, homes! You must be the new guy." he laughs and extends his hand. "Name's Julian." he gives a firm handshake and steps towards the back of the Jeep. "Know which room is yours yet?" he can't help but laugh. With Jessie gone, the room next to his was empty, once more.

Pulling out a few things, he looks to Matt with another laugh. "You don't travel very lightly, now do you?"

Matt grins and shakes Julian's hand firmly. "Hey Julian. I'm Matt."

He follows Julian back to the Jeep and also begins taking things out of the back end. "Nah, I don't know yet actually. They assign rooms?" He hefts a box marked 'clothes' from the backseat and holds it against his chest. He laughs. "No, when my dad found out I was leaving the house, he was mroe than happy to tell me to get all my junk out of his house."

"So how many bro's live here? This place is huge..."

After opening the gate and allowing the Jeep entrance, he finishes up his paperwork. It's the end of his shift and he takes one last glance at the monitors as his relief shows up. A quick summary of the goings on before Matt hands over the clipboard and is off duty. Security for the Pi compound really wasn't that difficult and he enjoyed what he did.

He walks up the gravel driveway to the house and spies Julian helping Matt with his things. "Oh Lord." he grimaces, only imagining the things Julian could be telling the new pledge. "Hey wait!" he calls out with a wave and jogs up to the pair. "Julian." He gives him a nod then looks at the box burdened Matt. "Here, let me take that." and he easily lifts the box from Matt's arms.

"My name's Matt. Along with Nathan, we're head of security here. I let you in the gate." he grins and looks at Julian. "So, in the room next to yours, right?" he chuckles softly.

Matty looked up at the mountain of a man approaching. Eyes wide, he sort of stared at Matthew for a moment before shaking his head a bit and handing the box over.

"Matt is a great name," he said with a grin.

Matty watched the exchange between mountainman and Julian. Now he was kind of nervous with their smirking. "What's wrong with the room next to Julian's?"

He dug out the last 2 duffels from his Jeep and hefted them up onto his shoulders.

"S'up homes?" with an upnod to the head of security as he came walking up. "Matt, this is Matt." he finds this hilarious and laughs loudly. "Yes, the room next to mine." iwth a nod of his raven black head.

Looking over at the new guy he shakes his head and puts on his best innocent look. "Nothing wrong with a room next to mine, homes. Best rooms in the house." he laughs again. "You'll learn lots, I'm sure."

With that he walks up to the house and flings open the front door. Carrying what he has up the stairs, three flights to be exact, he finally reaches Matty's new home away from home. "And here you are." he grins and pushes the door open. Jess' furniture and things were still in there, but all of his personal belongings had been removed. "I hope you like it." he grins once more to Matt, then deposits the things he carried next to the door.

"Take it easy homes." he shakes his hand briefly once more. "I've got a mommacita to catch. The hulk here can show you around." and with a laugh, he takes off down the stairs.

He falls in behind Matty and heft the box easily to his shoulder. "Nothing wrong with the room besides Julian's. It's already fully furnished, so, unless you want to, you don't need furniture. There's a great view of the pool area too." he grins.

"Just curious, do you have a girlfriend, fiance, spouse or significant other? It's just that Jaden's made it known that girls may stay the night a few times, but no live in girls in the main house." he nods slowly. "A few of the guys probably complained because they weren't getting laid." he laughs soflty. "Even the girls that had lived there have been moved out to sorority house that we had built on the property for them. It offers them some privacy and they're still close enough to their guys that they can see them every day. The only exception to this is the elders who have come back to visit. But then, they're elders and only visiting. Nobody messes with the elders." and another soft laugh as they finally reach Matty's new room.

Not usually the chatterbox, he kind of amazed himself at how much he had spoken. He puts the box of clothes down just inside the door and steps aside. "Thanks, Julian." he shakes his head and looks to Matt.

It was kind of like taking a five year old into a candy store. Matty was certainly having issues with keeping his excitement from showing--the boy wore a grin so big it nearly touched his eyes.

He was happy to finally get out of his house and have some 'man' time. Matty was hardly a man at 19, but he likes to think so. Life at home hadn't been all that great with his father, but Matty stuck it out day after day because even just the chance to talk to Audra (who was the only girl his father had ever approved of) just made everything worth while.

He climbed up the stairs behind Julian with Mountainman bringing up the rear. Eyebrows shot up in surprise as he surveyed the room when the door was kicked open. "Whoa..." Regaining his senses, Matty gave Julian an upnod as he left, thanking him for his help.

He set his stuff down by the bed and turned to Mountainman. There was another one of those insanely ridiculous grins--he got like that when he thought of her. "YEah, I have a girlfriend that I've been dating since I was 17. Her name's Audra, but I have a feeling she won't be here too often."

He watched the pledge's face carefully and folds his arms over his chest. "She's more than welcome to visit anytime." he grins with a knowing nod. "And considering your neighbor, you might just want to visit her." He chuckles then drops his hands to his sides.

"Well, best place to start the tour is the kitchen. That's where most of the bros hang out. You want to know anything that's going on in the house, that's the place to find out." he holds the door and waits for Matty to decide what he wants to do.

"Or, you can stay here and get settled. I undertsand the Rush Chair should be back in a few days. He can do the tour much better than I could." He scratches his head and looks over at him curiously.

"Have you met Jaden yet?"

Matty stood in the middle of the relatively large room, actually feeling slightly out of place right now. Furrowing his brows, Matty walked over to the dresser and pulled open one of the drawers. There was nothing inside... empty. Kind of like how he felt.

Be a man, Matty. Shoving aside all thoughts of loneliness, despite being in the midst of all these men, Matthew Floyd forced himself to smile. Right now was one of those moments he really wanted Audra.

TUrning around, he mimicked Mountainman and folded his arms across his chest. He wasn't quite sure what he'd meant by that comment, but he'd find out sooner or later, he guessed. "Yeah, I... I actually think I'll stay here and uppack. Truth is, I'm kind of tired. I'll explore later on..."

Again with the studying of the pledge's face as he stood in the middle of the room. He'd seen it many many times before and even had experienced it himself when he first got here. Of course, his fiance had just passed when he first got here so he especially knew the feeling.

"That's cool, I understand man. If you need anything," he walks over to the intercom and presses the button for the kitchen. A voice comes over and one could hear the smile in it. "May I take your order please?" Matt chuckles softly and shakes his head as if the other person can see it. "No thanks, just testing the system." The voice comes across again "Ok." and then the intercom becomes silent.

"You can page the other bros and even each other's rooms privately as well. The instruction manual should be in the linen closet in the bathroom. Nate and I are head of security if anything goes wrong. Otherwise, enjoy the room and feel free to roam about. It's your home now." he grins and walks over to Matt and pats him on the back. "Welcome home, Welcome to Pi Omega Pi." he grins, then walks out of the door, closing it softly behind him.
