Topic: Sweet Surprise

Audra

It was a bit chilly that morning, but that wouldn't stop Audra from surprising those Frat Boys with a sweet surprise.

Elisha and Audra had gotten up at 5 o'clock that morning to make all sorts of yummy treats in the kitchen at Becky's Place. Muffins galore and in every flavor you could imagine; three loaves of bread: honey, cinnamon swirl, and pumpkin; peanut brittle; and a little tub of homemade icing for the bread.

Audra provided Big Matt at the gate with his favorite muffin and waved as he let her on inside, driving her little red bug up to the front of the Pi Compound. One, two, three times she honked before pulling the keys from her ignition. 9 o'clock... hopefully she wasn't waking anyone up!!

Her blonde hair was pulled into two, thin braids over either shoulder and her make-up minimal. Stepping up to the front door, she held the awkwardly large box full of the goodies to her chest and waited for someone to answer the door. Hope they hurry!

He had been awake for some time now. The twins had their own schedule and Doug had made every effort to make sure that they were well kept and had everything they needed. And right now they were out of milk down at the house. He was also picking up some pureed fruits and veggies for them.

When the knock came to the door, he left Cook in the kitchen and crossed the living room to the door. Checking his watch, he thought it was a bit early. No matter, guests were always welcomed, no matter the hour.

He opens the door and smiles. "The boys will be glad to see you." he laughs and steps aside. Always, the smell of food brought out the guys from their rooms and he knew this time would be no different. "Come on in."

"Hi Doug!" Audra sure felt happy and bubbly this morning. She stepped in as he moved aside and took a quick look around. This place was huge and captivated her attention each time she visited.

Knowing her way to the kitchen, Audra hefted the box along and moved through the halls with ease as if she'd done it a million times. Truth was, she just had a great memory and could remember where most things were in this grand mansion.

"Hi Cook!" Audra smiled brightly to the resident Cook who grinned back at her and raised his eyebrows at the box she was setting on the island counter. "It's some things I baked this morning." She blushed. "Well, Elisha helped.. but I wanted to share them with you and the boys."

Audra began unpacking the box with Cook's help and once everything was set out buffet style, she folded her hands and observed the spread. "Well, how long do you think it'll take them to figure out I'm here with food?" Glancing down the hall, Audra thought briefly about going to get Matt, but didn't want to miss anyone's reaction to finding the food and decided to just greet him when he got downstairs.

It didn't take him long, not long at all. The sweet aroma of freshly baked pastries and other sweets has him up and out of his bed in no time. A hand through his hair and tugging on a pair of blue and green plaid sleepy pants and he's out of his bedroom.

When he gets to the kitchen he gives cook an upnod in greeting then turns to look at Audra. "You really didn't have to go and do all of this." he grins as he lifts a muffin from one of the platters. "But I'm glad you did." with a soft laugh.

He munches down, grabbing up another muffin and then a bottle of milk that cook had set out to go with the buffet. Sitting back he just grins and munches away. "Good stuff."

Once he's filled himself, and trust me, that took another muffin and another two bottles of milk, he looks over at Audra once more. "Want me to go get Matt?"

Muffin monster didn't take long to wake up either and smells the muffin goodness that seems to be lofting up into his room. A large yawn as he slides out of the bed and on into the bathroom for the usual. After getting himself dressed in his, Jack Skellington, pants and a black shirt that says 'I am the Pumpkin King!', in orange letters, he goes on to the crib in the corner and gives his son a kiss to his little head, lucky for Dean his son sleeps just as much as he does and nothing wakes him.

He grabs the other little baby monitor, walkie talkie thing, and clips it to his studded belt, just in case Daniel does happen to wake up, switching the one on in the crib and the one on his belt he slides his hands through his mess of dark hair and goes on out the door, down the steps and into the kitchen.

A grin to Doug as he passes him by and an upnod to Brandon. "What's up bro." And of course a smile to Audra and Cookie. "Good morning and what do we have here?" He eyes the buffet, now usually Dean isn't one to restrain himself and he could possibly eat most if not all of this wonderful food, but since becoming being a dad he's a little more restrained. He grins and of course heads right for the pumpkin bread, grabs slices of it, and without a moments notice stuffs a bit in his mouth, I said he is restrained.. not that he isn't a slob most of the time.

"Man, this is fantastic." He smiles and gives Audra the thumb up of approval, since his mouth is now full of another piece of pumpkin bread. He grabs a bottle of milk too and then is over sitting on the barstool at the bar and scarfing down, in his own little world. Course the sweet sound of a baby's breathing coming from the small little walkie talkie on his belt can be heard if you listen close enough.

Audra

Audra beamed with delight as slowly her goodies became a hit. Having never really cooked for anyone but Matty, she didn't know if her food was truly delicious. She knew now that it was.

Her eyes alight with joy, she watched Brandon as he munched away, happily sitting on the kitchen stool; feet dangling and hands folded neatly in her lap. "Oh, it's alright. I'm sure you boys get lots of girls baking you things. They do say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach." She laughed, but there was some truth to her words. Part of the reason she'd done this was because she hadn't seen or heard from Matt in a week. Perhaps this would draw him from his new, exciting world with his Brothers.

A smile was given as Dean appeared, thinking to herself that she liked his shirt alot. Dean seemed like a cool person. She also wondered about the baby monitor clipped to his belt. There were babies? What kind of frat house was this?

Bright eyes shift to Brandon again, another smile illuminating her face as a hand reached up to tug on a thin, blonde braid. "Sure, if you don't mind. He's a heavy sleeper and I doubt he'd wake up unless he knew he had to."

A grin on his face as Dean made his way into the kitchen and started eating, surprise surprise, the pumpkin bread. "S'up man?" with a returned upnod to the elder. "Little man's still sleeping huh?" with a soft chuckle.

Another bite of a blueberry muffin and he looks at Audra once more. "Yeah, sure." with a grin. "I can try to wake him up. And a few others along the way." He wipes his mouth and grabs another bottle of milk before sliding off of the stool he was sitting on.

"Later, bros." he grins to Doug and Dean, then a glance to Cook. "Catch you later, throw a burger on the grill for me later? You know I'll be there." Cook laughs at the young man and then turns back to straightening his kitchen and preparing lunch already. Brandon meanders on out of the kitchen.

On his way towards Matty's room, he stops by and pounds on the doors of a few others. "Come eat some of Audra's muffin! She's sharing her muffin guys , go get some!" with a laugh. He finally makes it up to the third floor and shakes his head at the sounds coming from Julian's room. Does that man ever stop?

He pounds on Matt's door and peeks his head in. "Audra's here, brought her muffin and she's sharing with the guys!"

Matt

Date: 2007-09-08 12:18 EST
The figure beneath the covers shifted with the pounding on the door and as it opened, gave a moan in protest. Very slowly, a rather disheveled looking brunette popped out from beneath the comforter. She smiled at Brandon and held the blanket to her chest. It was obvious she was naked or close to it.

This was not Matt.

No, Matt was tumbling out of the bathroom in his boxers, staring wide-eyed at Brandon. "Audra's here and she's what?" He glanced back to the girl in his bed. He'd already told her that he had a girlfriend and this was only a one night stand... but what would Brandon say?

"I'll.. I guess I'll be down in a sec. Just let me throw some clothes on, ok?" He shut the door and leaned on it, heaving a sigh. He hadn't expected Audra to show up today.. or for any of his Brothers to see the girl in his bed.

"You have to go now.." he stated uneasily to the brunette, grabbing a pair of jeans, throwing them on before hurrying down the hallway and stairs to the kitchen.

When the figure in the bed showed herself and then smiled, Brandon's eyes rounded just a bit. Surprised, you bet. "Well hello." he grins and then looks over to the stumbling Matt. "I see you've already had some muffin." he shakes his head with a laugh and moves back from the door.

Knowing the look on Matt's face, he shook his head and put his hands up. "Yes, Audra's here and she brought some muffins and bread and other stuff for breakfast. And man, it's your business, I ain't saying a word."

When the door closed, he goes back down the hall and to the stairs. Into the kitchen he goes. Putting on his best face, he smiles to them all. "He'll be down in a minute." Then, walking over to Dean, he taps his arm and whispers. "A word alone, man?"

Matt

Matt ran his hand through his hair as he came into the kitchen, drawing in a deep breath. When he saw Audra, however, the smile faultered for a millasecond.

"Look at all this food. You cooked all this or did you go shopping?" He crossed over to where his girlfriend was and slipped an arm around her waist, stealing a kiss. Yes, all was normal, right?

He leaned and grabbed for some of the cinnamon bread and then for the homemade icing, covering the piece of bread generously.

Oliver Stephens

Date: 2007-09-08 13:22 EST
Oliver is usually a late sleeper, however the knocking to his damn door? Woke his butt up, and when he's woken up without a darn good reason, he's a bit on the cranky side. Groan coming out of his half parted lips as the tosses his pillows, every last one, at the door.

"Don't ya'll know I had a difficult night!" He yells at the door and smacks the blonde in his bed on the rear. "What the hell ya still doing here, thought you had work?" She sighs and smacks him back and turns on her side, on back to sleep.

"You better not tell Bob I'm the one that kept ya here last night." He leans over to her and kisses her shoulder, she smiles and moves a bit over to lay a nice kiss on his lips. "That's my girl." He smacks her cute little rear again and is on up out of the bed before she can get to him again.

Scratching his stomach he goes on to the dresser and pulls out a pair of jeans and pulls them on. "I'll come back up with some food babe." She nods, grabbing his pillow off the floor and snuggling up on it.

He gives her a wink as he opens the door and steps out in time to see a little brunette running out of Matt's room. "Well, well, lookie what we got here!" He laughs. "That dog!" He laughs as he steps down the stairs and on into the kitchen. Might I say that Oliver has a tendency to talk before looking at present company. And usually announces to anyone and everyone when there is something going on about the house, yeah he's a loud mouth, think about who his cousin is.

"Who was the broad running out of Matt's room?" He grins but that grin doesn't make it all the way up on his face when he spots not just Matt, but Audra next to him. "Uh, whoops."

Audra

Date: 2007-09-08 13:39 EST
Audra smiled as Brandon re-entered the kitchen, but noted the soft spoken words to Dean. She was a rather intuitive, sensitive girl but didn't make any mention or question Brandon's behavior.

Anticipation built up within her as the prospect of seeing Matty brought joy to her heart. And then, there he was. A bright smile lit her face as he crossed over to her; jer own arms going around his waist. She prolonged the kiss as much as he'd allow before letting him get some bread.

"Yes, I made it early this morning with Elisha. I knew you loved cinnamon bread and decided to bring it over for you and your Brothers." She beamed as he munched away. "I thought it would be a nice surprise. We haven't seen each other in a while, ya know?" Fingers brushed over his back as she pressed a kiss to his shoulder and then rested her head against his arm.

Bright eyes shift to Oliver as he entered, confusion setting in. What was he talking about? Not about to jump to conclusions, Audra pulled away from Matt and looked up at him questioningly. While her heart was sinking with every passing silent moment, she refused to give in and just assume the worst. There must be an explaination. The look in her eyes begged Matty to give one.

Dean Santiago

Dean is going on about his business, even making little pumpkin men out of his slices of pumpkin bread, marching themselves to the milk. "Oh no..." As he makes the little pumpkin man go into the glass of milk, he fakes the drowning sounds of the little man and then laughs softly. He's a kid at heart, give the guy a break.

When Brandon taps him on the shoulder he glances over and takes a sip of his milk before he is about to slide off the barstool, but then Ollie is there and states something. Talk about hazels going wide and his first thought was to grab something and throw it at Ollie to shush him up, but it is a little too late.

Hazels go over to Audra and Matthew, he clears his throat and as quietly as he can slides off the barstool and tries to make an even more quiet exit. He is smart and goes the other way, not where Ollie is standing and looking like a deer caught in headlights. This is Matthew and Audra's time for privacy and Dean is more then willing to do just that as he goes out of the kitchen.

Looking over as Ollie enters the room with the rather loud announcement, Brandon just shakes his head and leans back away from Dean. Yeah, that's what he wanted to warn him about. A soft sigh and a shake of his head. "Catch ya later, bro." he calls to the departing Dean's back.

Turning to look at Ollie, he can't help but grin at that look on his face. "Smooth move, Ex-Lax, what do you do for an encore?" he walks over to Ollie and pats his shoulder. "Really smooth man." with another bit of a laugh.

Of course, he shouldn't be laughing, he knows it. It's just a nervous response from him. Always had been and always will be. When he looks over at Audra and Matt, he clears his throat and tries to wipe the smile from his face. "Told ya I wasn't going to say anything man." he says quietly before sitting down on a stool.

Grabbing up a piece of that cinnamon bread and dipping it into the icing he takes a bite before he says anything else.

Matt

Date: 2007-09-08 14:07 EST
Matt stood there in shock as everything unraveled before him. And not only infront of him, but in front of Audra, too. He wanted to pummel Oliver for spilling the beans, but Matty knew he had no one to blame but himself. This was his mess.

"Audra, I..." he looked at her for a split-second and had to look away. She looked so helpless and hurt. It would have been easier to do this with no one around. It would have been easier if he hadn't had to tell her at all. This was an accident and he knew it..

When Audra's face fell when he didn't dispute what Oliver had said, Matt felt terrible and pulled away from her.

"It was an accident, Audra. I swear."

Audra

Date: 2007-09-08 14:20 EST
Ever had one of those moments when your world literally comes crashing down around you? This was one of those moments and Audra had a hard time concealing her true feelings about it.

She and Matty had dated for 4 years. They were high school sweethearts and were talking about getting married in the next year or two. They wanted a family. They wanted a life together. What Audra couldn't understand was why Matty had done it. He knew the only thing that would cause her to break up with him was if he cheated on her. She didn't give second chances with that.

Once her eyes were bright with happiness, but now they glittered with unshed tears as she tried to keep a reign on her emotions. Audra looked from Oliver to Matty, pulling even further away as he tried to make excuses.

"An accident? What, she just happened to fall in your bed?" In tone was incredulous and at the sound of laughing from Brandon, her angry gaze snapped towards him. THey all knew and thought this was funny? Audra couldn't breathe. This was too much to handle in front of so many people. She'd rail Matt about it later.

Slipping from her stool, Audra turned to Cook, trying to find it in herself to smile. "C-cook, if you could just get rid of all this.. I-I don't need the containers." She was drifting towards the door, unable to look at any of them anymore. "Thanks.."

And then she bolted, heading for the front door and praying that she didn't cry until she was alone.

Oliver Stephens

A blond brow raises up when Brandon walks over. How was he suppose to know that Matt and Audra were here? Hell he thought maybe they'd called it quits, he didn't know he was announcing something like that, but he did and he doesn't do much other then sigh softly as he watches Dean leave and Audra's eyes land on him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't..." Course Audra is up and talking, to Matt then Cook, so he keeps his mouth shut and turns to eye the stairway, not too far to go rushing on back up to his room to his girl. The air super thick with all the trouble brewing. And Matt's excuse causes him to start coughing instead of showing he's truly laughing. He's not laughing at the very sad fact that this dude just broke his girl's heart, more like laughing that he has the balls to get caught and still keep on with it.

He shakes his head and watches as Audra leaves. He wanted to apologize to her but, for now he'll keep his distance, no need for further problems. He knows she's going to want to be away from here and probably even more so from the guy that broke the news, or better yet blurted it out. But you shouldn't do things here if you don't want it to be known.

Another shrug of his shoulders and a small grin on his face, at least someone told her. Oliver might be a bastard at times but he doesn't believe for one moment that someone deserves to be cheated on, he knows how much that hurts. Baby blues to Matt and he shakes his head as he then turns and walks on out of the kitchen towards the stairs to go back up.

He had turned his back and was steadily munching on that bread and even taking a sip or two from the bottle of milk that he had scooped up. He was listening to every word and he visibly cringes when Matt says it was an accident. A shake of his head, it was unreal.

And then Audra's speaking and he sighs softly. Lifting the bottle of milk to his mouth once more, he takes a gulp. And then it comes right back out, spraying the counter as she says just what he was thinking. Really, did he accidentally lose his clothes and fall on top of her too? But, of course, enough damage had been done and he keeps his mouth shut.

The tension was so thick you could cut through the fabric of it with a pair of shears. And when that door slammed and Audra was gone, Brandon turns around and looks at Matt. "You going to go after her or what?"

He didn't say it, but he was thinking it. This is exactly why the bros never saw him with a girl and he never made the mistake of bringing them here.

Matt

Date: 2007-09-08 15:03 EST
There was nothing to say. Absolutely nothing and so Matt stayed put. He looked from Oliver to Brandon and then to Audra as she ran off. This was ridiculous. He hadn't wanted this to happen. He loved her and.. he didn't know how this happened.

No, that was a lie. Matt knew why he'd done it. He also knew that he was a douche-bag who deserved everything he got. Audra wouldn't sleep with him and he'd gotten angry. Now this. He'd lost someone he loved because he couldn't keep it in his pants. He couldn't wait for her. He was selfish and stupid and would now reap the harvest of his actions.

WIth a shake of his head, Matt told Brandon that he wouldn't go after her. "I'm an idiot and I slept with another girl." Oddly, he didn't sound as remorseful as he should be. "She wouldn't take me back, so going after her is pointless."

In truth he was a coward. He didn't want to face her or see her tears. It was easier removing himself as far as possible.
