He had promised Tristan he'd be helping out with the manor, so he arrives at the door bright and early. An old tshirt, pair of holey jeans and steel toed boots on his feet. He has his carpenters belt on around his waist, with an assortment of tools hanging from it. The one he's most proud of is that power hammer of his. One smack of the wall, one nail driven. It saved so much time and energy. Anyway, he knocks at the door, waiting

It was an eventful night for Tristan, seeing as how the manor is indeed haunted. He spent most of the night talking with the lost souls moving about the house, but as the knock to the door is heard he slides out of the dusty old bed that is still within the large master bedroom and adjusts his night pants. Luckily for him the front door isn't too far from where he must navigate around leaves, dirt, tree limbs, this manor is indeed a fixer upper but he loves how the outdoors has made its way inside. He opens the door and smiles. "Bonjour."

He smiles when the door is opened. Looking into those green blues his heart starts to race once more. And shirtless, Dirk just gazes down at that chest and he wants to touch, once again. "Good morning." he says softly. "Ready to get to work?"

That same smile stays on his face as his eyes move down Dirk's body and see that he is more then ready to... get to work. "Ah oui, it was a very interesting night.. I apologize that I was not already up and ready for you." He moves to the side as he continues to hold the door open for Dirk.

Ready for him? Oh Dirk was more than ready physically. Just the Pureblood's presence made him.. stand up and take notice. "It's alright. I can run and get something for breakfast for us while you get dressed." he smiles and looks around the room. Yes, a lot of work needed to be done.

Tristan's green blues stay above waist level so Dirk is safe there.. He always looks into the beautiful hazels of his as he speaks. "Breakfast would be wonderful, merci. But you just got here, I would not want you to just leave.." He moves from the door and closes his eyes as he takes a smell of the house and Dirk.. with it. "This manor is most amazing, I must thank you profusely for finding it for me."

Finally stepping into the room, he looks to Tristan with a smile. "Then we'll go get breakfast together." Inhaling through his nose deeply, he's overwhelmed by the scent of the man standing near him and if he didn't move away, there would be no work being done. So he tears his eyes away and looks around the room. "Found it a while back, actually. Use to come here to get high." he whispers.

"Breakfast together, oui." He nods and turns to watch as Dirk walks into the room. Green blues admiring his face.. He lifts a hand to gently wipe a spider that had landed on his shoulder, the silk string on his hand as the spider slowly descends down to the ground and walks away. His eyes back to Dirk. "Much to the dismay of the lost souls might I add, they talked of the attractive blond man but they say you never showed disrespect, so that is good." He grins, showing off those sharper teeth of his. "I do not believe I would want to take this manor into this century. I would like to keep it as is, and perhaps even hire some maids, and cooks.. no modern appliances, I would like it as before. There is even a ballroom where we could hold masquerades." He whispers.

Dirk watches as the spider is removed and his skin crawls. If there's anything this boy is afraid of, it's spiders. "Thanks." he whispers and listens to Tristan. "I always thought there were more people here than me and Sean and Tighe." with a grin. "You've got a good idea there. And in Rhy'din, it'll be easier than you think." he loved to watch Tristan's mouth as it moved.

"Oh oui, many more.. but they move along the land as well, not just the manor." He smiles and moves close to Dirk. "It does seem that Rhydin is inclined to the old ages, it will be easy to hire workers for the house, I agree. This is a beautiful place and I would like it restored to its fullest potential." He whispers and brings his hand up to Dirk's shoulder and gently, with his index finger and thumb, caresses his neck but then his hand slides back down and to rest at his side. "I should get dressed." He nods and walks towards the master bedroom.

"I can't see them, but I can feel them. They're all around." He sucked in his breath as Tristan came closer and he looks into those green blues once more. "It's going to take a lot more than you and me to get this fixed up. I know a crew that will work and be discreet about it." he nods. When Tristan's hand comes up and caress given to his neck, he closes his eyes. Opening them slowly to see him going to the bedroom. All he can do is nod to Tristan's back.

Tristan de Laurier

Tristan slept like the dead last night. However he made sure to keep Dirk in his arms throughout it. However as green blues open he feels Dirk's presence is not in the room or even the house. He stretches for a moment and moves a hand down his bare chest then back up and over his face as he yawns, his hand over his mouth of course. He turns in the bed and smells the pillow where Dirk had laid.. He smiles and closes his eyes, taking in a deep breath of it.

Always up with the ass crack of dawn, today was no exception. While Dirk thoroughly enjoyed waking up in Tristan's arms, he was still a bit confused by the events of the last few days and he needed time alone. He watched as Tristan slept for a long while before his body finally won the war and he slipped out of the bed. There was nobody around so he remained naked as he walked through the house. For some reason, the ghosts in the house didn't seem to bother him or change his views on modesty. Finally making his way out to the gardens, he watches the fountain for a long while. Just sitting there, lost in his thoughts as the water streamed from cherubs mouths and gargoyles glared down. He could feel that Tristan had already stolen his heart. But truly, this soon after Gage had left, was his heart ready for a new relationship? Was his heart truly over Gage yet? Would he end up hurting Tristan like he had all the others? A soft sigh is given and he puts his elbows to his knees and supports his chin in his hands.

He let's out a small sigh of his own and sits up in the bed, of course the vibe that he gets from even Dirk who is outside.. Is for Tristan to leave him alone and Dirk will come to him when he wants. So out of the bed he goes and makes his way to the bathroom. The usual done and then he moves on out and leans on the door frame for a moment. Those feelings that Dirk is having can even be radiated around the manor and he watches as one of the ghost walks out by the large windows.

His stomach growls and it breaks him from his reverie. Tossing a stone into the fountain, he gets up and walks towards the house at a slow, leisurely pace. He doesn't really watch what he's going, instead his eyes are on the birds and the plants and even the sky. Sure he was hungry, but his stomach can be forgotten. Walking into the archway that leads into the house he yells out. "Hello!" just to hear it echo. He wasn't expecting a friendly answer from one of the friends he made the other night. A slow smile curls the corner of his mouth as he walks with the ghost, talking to him. "Yes, I know. He's incredible. And I am, I really am." he laughs and shakes his head. "I just want to make sure I don't screw it up this time." He's quiet for a bit as the spectra says something and then he nods with a laugh. "Yeah, see you Fred." with a shake of his head and he goes into the house. Of course every room is huge and with vaulted ceilings so the soft padding of his feet against the tiled floors echoes until it sounds like an army marching by. Finally making it to the bedroom, knowing that is where Tristan was. "Hey." he says softly from the doorway as he walks in.

Dirk not being the only one that is not sure of what is going on with their emotions. Tristan has not been in a relationship in what seems ages. And the last one had been just an small affair really. He left her like he has so many others, in fear of what his Father would do not only to them, but even people that they care about. He has become use to the idea of never having love, or even an companion throughout this life. And he came accustomed to the solitude. So now with Dirk being here and the whirlwind that their new romance is causing, has him more then worried. If his Father found him he would kill him and Dirk. A sigh and he closes his eyes for a moment. All he can hope is that if that day does come, that Dirk will be far from this manor and be safe. But the sound of Dirk's feet on the tile cause him to open his eyes. It was safe to say.. that when you care much more for the life of another then your own, it is.. love, at least that is to Tristan. He knows that now his heart lies in the hands of this man. He brings his hand up to run through his hair for a moment. Even if it was just these few nights he shares with Dirk, not even being intimate... he can die with the knowledge and happiness of knowing love. Is smile is instant as Dirk walks into the room. "Bonjour, you were outside, oui? You are alright?"

That smile answered all questions and soothed his troubled mind in the mere fraction of a second it came to Tristan's face. Of course this was right. Of course his heart was ready. He had been silly to think otherwise. He knew the risks that came with being with a de Laurier, first hand. And he accepted those risks without question. His heart swelled and he felt like he did in high school with his first crush, all over again. Color rose in his cheeks and he smiles shyly. "Oui, mon amour." he whispers softly and walks across the room.

Green blues notice the slight flush of cheek upon those delicate features and this causes his smile to grow slightly and become yet shy of its own. His hands caresses over the back of his neck for a moment as he pushes off the door frame and watches as Dirk makes his way through the room. "Did you sleep well last night, I know that sometimes I sleep so soundly that I do not know if you have been stirring or not. I should be more careful, non? Need to get more security.. easy for anyone to come into the house without my knowledge. However I believe our spirit friends would come to warn me." He chuckles softly, still remembering the apparition of the girl running through his room yelling that Dirk had been at the door, Tristan believes she has a small crush on Dirk. Spirits were once encased in human flesh, not beyond belief that they can still have emotions even after they have left the physical life. He takes a breath and watches how each muscle on Dirk's body contracts as he walks.

And as green blues watch every movement and take in every contraction of his muscles and facial features, hazels do the same as they gaze upon Tristan. A small, soft laugh bubbles from his throat as Tristan's hand moves to his own neck and his own face becomes softer. "I slept like a baby." he averts his gaze for a moment. It was too much and he thought his heart could not race any faster in his chest. And as he looked up, he watches as Tristan talks. It was as if he had just seen a statue move. The way his lips shaped the words and he spoke so clearly, it fascinated Dirk. "We both should be more careful." he nods in agreeance. "And security is definitely needed, but not just by anybody." He was thinking the same thing about the other inhabitants of the home. "I think they'd be more than happy to look out for us." And indeed, he had met the apparition and knew her to be a sweet child that would let them know in a moment's notice if something was afoul. As he reached Tristan finally, he slides his long fingered hands around his waist and lays his head on the broad expanse that is Tristan's chest. "I am sorry I did not wake you." he whispers.

"It is good you slept well." He smiles softly, green blues never leaving Dirk's face as he talks to him, always make eye contact. He sighs softly yet again as his eyes finally leave Dirk's face to move down the body of the man before him. "Perhaps even a night guardsman? Of course I do have a few people that I do trust, I know that they would never let my Father know where I am. However putting them at risk tugs at my heart just as I feel with you." He shakes his head for a moment. How he hates his Father for taking all this from him, but as green blues stay on Dirk.. This is one thing that Tristan will not give up so easily. His eyes close as Dirk's hands slide around his waist and his own move up Dirk's body to lay on his back and massage gently on the small of Dirk's back. "Mon amour, it is alright." He whispers back and kisses the top of his blond head. "What shall we do today? More roses for the garden should be arriving in a few hours, the gardens will be filled before we know.." He smiles.

He was in the one place in this world that felt right, felt safe and most of all, felt peace. Where he had thought he had found it before, it had been a facade. Mostly in his own head, it was what he had wanted to see. But this was reality. As was the strong heartbeat beneath his ear and the tender kiss to the top of his head. There was plenty of time to speak of security. Right now all he wanted and all he knew was in the arms of this man. He wonders to himself how life would be different if he had only met him before he had met Emily. Would his life had been such a roller coaster? A soft sigh escapes his lips as he pushes the thought from his head. The past was the past and it was time to bury it and move forward with his life. He had felt the slight tension in the air when Tristan had thought of his father. And Dirk knew, that he'd lay down his life to protect Tristan. He didn't care who came at them. They'd stand together. And that is how it should be. Looking up into green blue eyes, that shy little boy smile is back. "I'd like to help plant the roses."
