Shadow wanders home from the Inn, laying down on her bed, exausted. Her eyes a dim blue, her hair coming unbraided. Her robe seemed in one peice, her magic was there. Yet even though all seemed okay she looked to be almost on the verge of screaming or crying, from her expression it was hard to tell. She had left the door to her room open. Yamikage wandered in and meowed at her. She glared at him.

"What do you want you pain in the ass?" After a few minutes of silence she sighed. "I need to talk to Ryo..Any idea where he would be kitty?"

"Why do you hate Bob?" A simple question, though her voice and eyes said there was a deeper reason for her asking like this.

She sat up, hugging her knees. Her head resting on them. "Is he evil?" Asked softly, confusion in her voice.

A nod, "What if it's too late?"

A sigh as she rubs her neck. "I don't know what's right and wrong anymore..My past is coming to bite me in the ass..Hard."

There was a pause as she tried to figure out how to explain it, and how much she could say. "After Fire took over this last time I realized that no matter how hard I try I can't ignore, or undo, what I've done..." A sigh. "I was an assassin after I was a mercenary, and before returning to Rhy'Din..I was doing it for fun more then anything.."

She paused a moment and stared out the window, then continued. "The day after Fire left, the day that Max and Dusty tried to talk me out of keeping Worldbreaker, I was approached by a man looking for me..My old teacher, the one I killed for..I realized that he was Bob.."

A sigh as she stood slowly, "I'm not sure why I'm telling you all this."

A very odd, not quite evil, but scary nonetheless grin split her face. "You were? So you really did all the things Gabe accused you of? Damn..I wouldn't have thought you had it in you.." She started pacing the room her movements smoother then normal; like liquid rather then a human.

"I'm surprised that you take this so well...Most people would freak after finding out their room mate was a trained cold-blooded killer.."

She nodded and grinned. "Good point..That's good to know, that you did..Makes that Teme seem not as stupid.. Though I'm still tempted to snap his neck..Simply because he made me remember things I had no wish to.."

She shook her head, pausing to stare out the window a moment. Her eyes flashing purple as she shook her head again. "Not fair."

She poked him in return. Then laughed as she remembered the way he had started her poking everyone..How Fay had asked if poking was some new language around Rhy'Din. "You think? Won't he have friends to try and kill me though?" Her voice almost bored.

She snickered. "Well, there's Mino, or Shino, whatever his name is..Dusty, Chrono..Syn Belarus, Syn can kick my ass, and hand it to me..I saw them hanging together; main reason why I mentioned him...Um...Onyx..Um..I can't think of anymore.."

She laid down on the bed, sprawling next to Ryo. Her eyes a cat like amber. "I wonder where the Fay-ness is...I hope he and Tyrus are okay.."

"Still, they're my friends..I worry." She sighed. "I wish I knew what to do with Siliet"

She nodded slowly. "I see your point..I think, but I don't like her that much..Maybe friends, but nothing more.

"You don't think she'll be hurt? She strikes me was the kind that would.."

She nodded. Her thoughts taking weird turns that she wasn't planning to follow anytime soon. "That's true I suppose...She just, I dunno...She seemed hurt when I mentioned it in passing to Darkmere.." She paused and grinned evilly. "Are you jealous of him?"

She grinned brightly, having fun surprising him. "Well, it's the way you two act around each other..He ignores you and you do your damnedest to piss him off.." Her tone made it seem like simply curiosity, though it would be rare if it were that simple

She smiled and laughed. "You two have the most empathic dislike of each other I've ever seen..At least when no wrong has been done on either side.."

She blinked and smiled. "Jade? Yeah, I kinda figured. Pretty wolf form, and a good match for him. Just mysterious enough for it to work well."

She snickered and grinned. "Well, when he kept trying to make me kill him, then let me thoroughly embarrass myself in front of Jade..It was kinda obvious he didn't like me like that. Once I realized that I also realized that I was only looking for a replacement for Tyrus..Then he came back, so all's good."

She nodded, then tilted her head slightly to the side, looking at him. "What's wrong?" Concern there, and curiosity too.

She raised an eyebrow and poked him. "I suppose..Although it concerns you, and we live together..So doesn't it affect me too?" She's not pushing, simply replying.

"Okay...If you're sure.." She trailed off there, mildly uncertain of how to react, and looking for a better topic. The silence hung for a few moments.

Then she stood and began pacing the room a bit. "Um...You kept trying to ask me about my tattoos, right? If one of them hurt..." She trailed off there, half making it a question, then continuing.

"..Which one do you mean?" Genuine curiosity in her voice, she had several others; more then the two he's seen, but they weren't in normally visible spots..She didn't wear backless things.

She looked at him oddly a moment, her expression unreadable, but her eyes shifted to a cold ice blue. After a few minutes deliberation she turned her back to him, and started pulling her shirt off. Up it came, over her head and folded, then set beside her. She pulled her hair forward to hide her chest, revealing her for now empty back.

"The one on my neck didn't really hurt..I think Teacher drugged me though, everything seemed dulled..I felt like I was floating above it all, even when they strapped my arms to the chair I wasn't concerned..I was aware that someplace else there was a person in pain..But it wasn't me...Teacher kept making me look him in the eyes, even though I argued that it was disrespectful..I think that was how he kept me from floating away..."

"The next set of tattoos I got were the ones binding me to the clan, the lands and the Heartstone." She paused here, her eyes closed. A faint shimmer began at the points of her shoulders and spread, forward down her upper arms and down her back and ribs. Vanishing into her pant line. It was an intricate tribal design, similar to Celtic knots but even more intricate. They appeared to form a frame of sorts.

"Then I left the Clan..Teacher had taught me all he could and said it was time to move on..He sent me to a nest of dragons, the Elder there took me under his tutelage. He taught me to embrace who I am, what I am, and to control my magics to a finer degree then Teacher had..After he passed and I declined leadership I returned to my former clan and got another tattoo, one of myself...And of Elder."

She shivered a moment, then the shimmering started down the middle of her back and spread to her ribs. It resolved into a blue black dragon, curled like a cat with the wings outspread. The edge of the wing curled around her ribs on the left side. Above and to the right of it was a shining blue and golden dragon, in the air, wings narrowly folded, and long tail lashing.

It was poised as if demanding respect of the other one. Maw wide, flames shooting out. The tail curled around her ribs, in between them was a golden wolf, looking out. It resided in the small of her back. And standing beside it was a human. In the distance there stood a small red and black figure.

"These last two hurt, yet I knew it needed to be done..So I held still for it. Now, the last one..The one on my wrist didn't really hurt..At least not until he killed himself.. I was warned that they might flare with power..It's been happening a lot lately..." She trailed off and sat, cross legged with her hands on her thighs. Her eyes half-closed and distant.

After a few moments of silence she blinked and looked at him. "All of that in words I understand please." She smiled then, " I understood 'I see' and 'Thank you' but what's 'Ano sa' mean?"

She blinked a moment, watching him out of the corner of her eye as she put her shirt on again. Once it was on she turned to face him. "So, 'Oi' is like, the informal version of 'ano sa'?"
