((NuTerra can only be reached from RhyDin by way of one of several crystal activated portals (and of course the nexus if it feels like it) these crystals are in the position of Ander ConColor, and it is only with his approval that someone can go through one of them.))
In the time, before the time of our grandfathers, grandfathers, grandfathers, grandfathers, three ships, each as big as a city, full of refugees from a great disaster, after passing through a strange fog that tingled the skin as well as the mind landed on a semitropical island that was on none of their charts.
It took over year to explore and map the island. Because of a warm ocean current that goes across the delta and the high mountains the valley enjoys a semi tropical rainforest climate giving the valley a somewhat prehistoric feel.
A mountain range forms a great crescent around most of the island, that is roughly 1000 miles across. The range is 10 miles wide and dotted on both sides by foothills 500 to1000 ft. high, that extend outward another 10 miles. Centered at the crescents 20 mile opening, at the eastern end is a delta 5 miles wide and 7 miles long that opens into the sea.
Mountains on the upper half of the crescent range between 5 and 7 thousand ft. In the upper part of the crescent are two other major peaks at 1.500 and 2.750 and one dormant volcano at 2000ft. The lower half of the crescent is a range of mountains between 3 and 4 thousand ft. high with 3 major peaks of 4250, 4550, and 4650 and two dormant volcanoes at 2750 and 3000 ft.
About midway on the crescent stand a cluster of three peaks that reach nearly 2 miles high on each side 9000 ft. on each side and 10,200 in the center on the valley side at about 2000 ft. a plateau extends outward about a mile and twice that far across. On the valley side of the whole crescent between 1,500 and 2,000 ft. are twenty plateaus that extend outward into the valley about a mile and are one and a half that wide with another 50 half that size all are two to four multi-tiered.
Forest covers the lower 1500 ft. of the range and the foothills extend 200miles into the valley on the west side narrowing to 10 miles at the ends of the crescent opening.
Various mountain streams join to form three major rivers one entering the valley just past the top of the crescent dividing a swamp from the foothills flowing southwest, a second enters at the base of the tallest mountain cluster and flows due east the third enters at the edge of the grass lands edging the forest flowing north-northeast the three meet and form a large lake near the center of the valley a river spills from this lake east ward to the sea by way of the delta.
The only 2 areas within the forest that are not forest are a swamp 20 miles by 10 miles situated between the foothills and the upper river ,in a secluded area between two foothills. Half way between the center and the bottom of the crescent is a cave entrance about twenty ft. wide and half as high, an area of about a half mile around the cave the ground is crystal sand and clusters of enormous crystals ten to twenty ft. high jut out of the ground but the rest of the valley is rolling grass lands.
