The Shivering Isles

Also known as the Realm of Madness, or The Madhouse. The Realm belongs to Sheogorath.

The Shivering Isles are split into three separate parts. Mania, Dementia and The Fringe.

Mania

As the brighter side of the Shivering Isles, it's capital is named Bliss, located in New Sheoth.

The Golden Saints are the guards of Mania.

Mania is eerily quiet, walking among the giant mushroom trees will fill you with a certain sense of peace and contentment. It's known for calming the soul, the ultimate place to go when you don't wish to have a care in the world.

A small community by the name of Hale can be sought out in the vast countryside of Mania, filled with artists and those welcoming to weary travelers.

Even with the seemingly peaceful adventures to be had in the land, travelers need to heed caution as Mania is still filled with indigenous animals that aren't always quite as friendly as the citizens of Hale. It's best to stick to the marked paths.

The Fringe

The area is the waiting/testing area of the Madhouse. Unworthy visitors wait and do not seek to be tested.

Those who wish to be tested challenge the Gatekeeper for the Key to Mania and the Key to Dementia, as well as full acess.

In order to gain entry, one needs to beat the Gatekeeper in a duel.

It's appearance is that similar to Dementia's flora.

There is one community only in The Fringe, named Passwall. The citizens of this community are insane and unworthy.

Dementia

The darker side of the Shivering Isles, it is home to the paranoid and dangerous psychopaths. Unlike the bright, peaceful lands of Mania, Dementia is filled with gloomy and drab landscape, filled with dark swamps and spine tingling woods.

Dark Seducers are the guards of Dementia, keeping order.

There are a few settlements of this side of the Shivering Isles, though as previously stated.. The Dementia side is filled with paranoid psychopaths.

Evergloam

The Evergloam is a realm built and ruled by Nocturnal. It is a realm of perpetual twilight, and the "cradle of shadow". There are several "pocket realms", including the Shade Perilous and the Crow's Wood. It is claimed that the Evergloam is unbelievably beautiful.

In order to reach the Evergloam, one must pass through a portal named the Ebonmere. It's held open by the Skeleton Key, an artifact frequently stolen by mortals. The Nightingales are a secretive subgroup of the Theives Guild, who've pledged their souls to Nocturnal and guard both the Ebonmere and the Skeleton Key (these days, they are the loyal soldiers of Nocturnal who do her secretive bidding).

It is claimed that when a Nightingale dies, their soul becomes one with the shadows. As long as the Ebonmere remains open, the souls of the dead Nightingales can "walk the shadows" and bring luck to thieves. They can also drink from the Ebonmrere to obtain powerful abilities.

Shade Perilous

It is a pocket realm coveted by many Daedric clans for it's present darkling mana present. At one point, the pocket realm was forcefully seized by Mehrunes Dagon, and it's unclear if Nocturnal has regained control over the realm.

Crow's Wood

Crow's Wood is an uncanny pocket realm of the Evergloam, made to resemble a nightmarish forest. It's inhabited by the Blackfeather Court, sentient crows who believe they are the realm's ruler. Other inhabitants include giant bats, ghosts, wolves, spiders, wisps, wispmothers, bears, and soul wraiths.

It was once ruled by a power soul wraith, though he was banished under unknown circumstances. A hagraven known as the Crow Mother then came to rule the realm as head of the Blackfeather Court.

Realm of Boethiah

Sometimes called Attribution's Share or Snake Mount.

A realm that looks similar to the Deadlands in the fact that it consists of stormy skies, volcanic islands and lava seas.

It has also been described as a country of labyrinthine policy and betrayals, with maze gardens and twisted towers.

Maelstrom

A massive arena in the middle of the hot sandy desert, challengers and duelists aplenty.

The Hunting Grounds

http://wallpaperswa.com/thumbnails/detail/20120731/mountains%20landscapes%20nature%20night%20moon%20grass%20fields%201600x1200%20wallpaper_wallpaperswa.com_60.jpghttp://img.amerikanki.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Most-Beautiful-Forests-Around-the-World.jpghttp://img.wallpaperfolder.com/f/4528D0A30A22/beautiful-forest-image-live-hq.jpghttp://orig04.deviantart.net/d638/f/2012/051/c/8/grassy_plains_by_something31337-d4qdqts.png

The Hunting Grounds was created by Hircine. The realm is a seemingly endless forest, grasslands and plains. Some areas seem brighter than others, some may be filled with clouds of fog. It's inhabitants are vicious creatres like bears, wolves, werecreatures, and Daedra. All of which are much larger than those that inhabit the mortal realm.

It is said that Lycanthropes that die will roam the Hunting Ground with Hircine for all of eternity. It is also believed that any Daedric Cult that worships Hircine will hunt with him after death.

By day, werecreatures and Warriors stalk the land, hunting for inhabitants. By night, Hircine announces himself with a pack of werewolves.

Moonshadow

"It is a giant garden full of roses, a city of silver, and breathtaking vistas brimming with waterfalls, flowers, and majestic trees where the wind and rain carry heady perfumes, and the colors blur. The goddess herself resides in a palace of roses. The realm holds such beauty that it makes mortals half blind." -Elder Scrolls Wikipedia
(I couldn't think of anything to describe it better than that.)

The inhabitants there are Winged Twilights and those that Azura has taken in. Being far less benevolent than many of the Princes, she's become the ultimate Nanny in her spare time. Loving children, but only having one.

https://66.media.tumblr.com/5606707c1fd42b798f1d881bab510a76/tumblr_myieegatIy1qa9lnvo1_400.gif

The realm consists of nothing but dust, ash and smoke; there's no ground, sky or air. It's the hardest to reach and levitation as well as magical breathing is a necessity.

It was supposedly designed according to Malacath's spheres; emptiness, betrayal, broken promises, and anguish. Also her personality.

Orcs and those loyal to Malacath believe they are rewarded in the realm with immortality, drink, food and constant battle, all with the Daedric Prince.

It's claimed that one can see from one end of the world to the other in a million shades of grey. There's Palaces of Smoke, as well as vaporous creatures inside the realm.

Molag

Cold Harbor

https://mireuix.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/screenshot_20141124_013128.jpghttp://download.gamezone.com/uploads/image/data/1145742/The_Elder_Scrolls_Online_Coldharbour.jpghttps://nomadicgamer.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/screenshot-2014-04-17-22-45-57.png

"The dreadful Oblivion plane of Coldharbour is a place of death, despair, and infinite cruelty. It is ruled by Molag Bal, the Lord of Brutality and Domination, a Daedric Prince dedicated to enslaving all the mortals of Nirn."
---- Coldharbour Loading Screen

The ground is nothing but sludge, the sky is constantly burning and the air is beyond freezing. It's considered one of the most inhospitable realms of Oblivion.

There is no sunlight, it's dark and dreary and gloomy at all times.

Any mortal that enters the realm is captured, enslaved and turned into one of Molag's "Soul Shriven", soulless slaves laboring for eternity under the Prince's command.

It's known for it's slave pens and laborers, bleak, dead rocky chasms and twisted, abandoned ruins.

The inhabitants beside the soul shriven are Daedra such as Harvesters, Dremora, Scamps, and atronachs, though there are plenty more to be named.

Some claim it to be a premonition of the future.

Molag's own seat of power is known as Heart's Grief.

(In our story) Cold Harbor is the "mirror realm" of Earth, except a complete nightmare. Everything is the same as stated above but the realm is set up completely like Midgard (Earth), mirrored but decrepit. For each human on Earth, there is a mirrored version of them in Cold Harbor that is far worse than one could ever imagine. They don't necessarily share the same face, but a mirrored imprint of the soul. The only trait they really have to share are their fingerprints that are exactly the same. They can look completely different. Nor do they have to necessarily be the same gender.

Cold Harbor also inhabits a race of vampires called Night Eaters.

Everything considered "bad" or "criminal" on Earth, is normal every day life for Cold Harbor. For instance... murder, stealing and sexual assault are criminal acts on Earth, in this realm it's merely a part of every day. Think of the most terrible acts, and it's guaranteed to be normal in that realm.

Fourth Sinus of Takubar

http://www.nexusmods.com/Images/110/3216069-1457586257.png

A pocket realm created by Molag, it's the home of the Cold-Flame Atronachs. It is a realm of extreme cold, claimed that the material bonds of the bedrock slide apart to flow like lava.

Frost Mares are theorized to come from this realm.

Village of the Lost

http://tamrielfoundry.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/coldharbour-village.jpghttps://i.ytimg.com/vi/tYbrk3wT_hc/maxresdefault.jpg

"The blue fluid found everywhere in Coldharbour is called Azure Plasma, and is unformed "chaotic creatia," the stuff from which all Oblivion matter is formed. When a Daedra is "killed," its morphotype, or vestige, gradually forms a new body by accretion of Azure Plasma."
------ Village of the Lost wiki

It is a plane with three villages trapped between Cold Harbor and Earth.

The central island is called Ruins of Silver Run, and it holds two portals to the other islands. Ruins of Khaj'yahai is the western island, whereas Ruins of Dushnikh's Shadow is the eastern. There are other islands, such as the Island of the Damned and the Island of the Lost that can be reached from western (Damned) and eastern (Lost) islands.

Scuttling Void

Very little is known about it beyond it's name, as no man or beast has ever ventured there and returned.

(In our story) It is a realm filled with sludge similar to Erebus' filth, as Namira is the original and ancient darkness and decay.

The creatures in that realm are heavily carnivorous and decrepit, many are decayed and ravenous, sniffing out those that don't have any "filth" in them such as mortals that don't share the blood of Namira or Erebus and devour them.

Some of the creatures in the realm are those that have ventured into the Void, only to be driven mad from the extreme darkness that will swallow all of your senses.

No man or beast has ever returned from the Scuttling Void.
