"Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."

"In the night the stars provide a glimmer,
secrets of the soul so lost and bitter,
a faint flow of hopeful light, sees me
through the darkest night, when the
morning comes to light the day,
it disturbs the dreamland where I lay,
tolerant of the day, I pine for the eve,
into dreams of love in which I believe."

To Hermaeus:

"Essentially moths are just less attractive butterflies. They do nothing wrong to us but we admire butterflies more because they are pretty and we are raised to be drawn to physical beauty but we kill moths because they are ugly and less attractive than butterflies because of their dull colours. That says a lot about our society, don?t you think?

Yet, he was a moth and underneath the plain colours of his exterior lay beauty that is unfathomable.
It?s a shame that I?m one of the few people blessed to love the moths."

"Does the sun ask itself, ?Am I good? Am I worthwhile? Is there enough of me?? No, it burns and it shines. Does the sun ask itself, ?What does the moon think of me? How does Mars feel about me today?? No it burns, it shines. Does the sun ask itself, ?Am I as big as other suns in other galaxies?? No, it burns, it shines.

? Andrea Dworkin, Our blood: prophecies and discourses on sexual politics (1976)

Such body lovers have,
Such exacting breath,
That they touch or sigh.
Every touch they give,
Love is nearer death.
Prove that I lie.
? W. B. Yeats, The Collected Poems

...For all I can really do is stand here in September's rain savoring...
Soaking it all in slipping...
And simply holding on to poetry for dear life.

I hate you, but I love you. It's like throwing you off a cliff then rushing to the bottom to catch you.

Darkness

The definition of darkness is the absence of light.
You can not see darkness.
Darkness can not be explained.
Darkness only come when everything else has gone.
Darkness is nothing...
Then darkness is everything.

There are dead stars that
still shine because their light
is trapped in time. Where do
I stand in this light, which
does not strictly exist?

Cosmopolis

Night is purer than day;
it is better for thinking,
loving and dreaming.
At night everything is
more intense, more true.
The echo of words that have
been spoken during the day
takes on a new and deeper
meaning.

Walls have ears.
Doors have eyes.
Trees have voices.
Beasts tell lies.
Beware the rain.
Beware the snow.
Beware the man
You think you know.

--Songs of Sapphique
