Fiora Shantalaine?s Plaza De Troyes Showcase Gala!

The Plaza de Troyes would like to extend an invitation to you and your business! In honor of our first year?s success we are opening the doors to our fantastic complex for a celebration of the heart?s blood of RhyDin.

It is easy to overlook the difficulties in owning and operating a successful business inside of RhyDin City Proper, but Ms. Shantalaine (Shantalaine Realty) understands the trials and would like to help the people of RhyDin demonstrate their appreciation!

What better way than to throw a party? Door prizes will be plentiful and the night will cap off with a Date Auction!

All proceeds will go to support our Civics Center and the Ministers Ravenlock and Silverblade in administering successful initiatives to stimulate our economy.

More details will certainly follow.

OOC ? This is tentatively set for January 22 in the evening (times to be concretely determined shortly). Additionally, I will be opening a thread for:
A) Businesses who would like to be showcased; this will allow you to write up a quick bio about your business and offer up a door prize (For example: Tasha Van Blaudin will be giving away a free astrological reading) I would love to roleplay or threadbased play Fiora?s attempts to strike up involvement and will be visiting your respective folders presently. (This will hopefully inspire later roleplaying after the event as your winners will have the chance to roleplay their service reward with you)

B) The Date Auction:Those of you willing to participate will get a chance to write up a quick bio about you and what your date will entail that will be distributed to partygoers. Again have fun with it and I?d love to have Fiora beg you for your participation.

C) The Setup and The Clothes: I mean seriously can you have one of these things without a clothes section?

OOC Update:

The date has been changed for better participation and time to get this in order.

I have sent a PM to those accounted for on the business folder registered with Governor's office. Additionally, I'm a little leery about just jumping on people's folders I don't know so hit me up with a PM and I'll willingly subject you to Fiora at any given minute.

Date Auction:
I understand that A) not everybody can make it a certain night and B) not everybody wants to try and wield multiple SNs but are interested in having more than one participate. A Proxy StandIn for the actual Auction is an option. Fiora is more than willing to pretend to be anybody to raise the money, though I warn you horrible impersonations do apply.

If you're interested in this please send me a little BIO about your character and their planned Date for the evening that way I can post it in the soon to be created Date Auction thread. Hijacking someone and signing them up is always hilarious as is Fiora's take on the Bio should you give her permission to write it without your final approval. Example:

Tasha Van Blaudin, Astrologist, Femme Fatale. This long leggy cool brunette can shoot a man down with but a lift of one perfectly sculpted brow. But for tonight's special shindig she has promised to put away the ice pick. Those bidding on Ms. Van Blaudin will be happy to know that the date entails dinner and drinks at the Red Dragon followed by a moonlit walk along the boulevard where she will at least pretend to laugh at your jokes.

It will be carried out by PMs with monetary bids that will be announced in room to keep up the tension. All those interactions promised from there on out are up to the muns of the individual characters to map out and play.

Same with Door Prizes.

I also wouldn't mind doing a quick write up of your business for showcase potential! But less information is available about your businesses than your persons, so any help there is appreciated.

I was asked whether or not you needed to attend the event to participate and I think it was a very pertinent question, so with that in mind, here's another explanation that my address concerns and clarify how I foresee the event going:

Does my business need to have a person in attendance to participate?

Door prizes (a way to advertise your business: coupons, silly gifts as publicity stunts, free service, etc.) will be awarded at the start of the evening based on the order of the arrivals (Adjustments will be made to guarantee-the best I can- that you do not receive your own character's prize). Arrive early as the prizes may run out based on number of attendees. Early Bird gets the worm and all.

You (as the business owner) do not need to be in attendance for this to occur. Fiora will take the prizes and give them away and then I will inform you of your winner so that the two of you can RP the outcome at your own convenience.

Do I need to be in attendance for the Date Night Auction?

As for the Date Night Auction (second portion of the evening) willing bachelors and bachelorettes will buy by Silent Auction (PM me during) and win a date with whomever is up on the block. Again if you can't make it but want to be a part of the Auction as a participant you may have someone stand in as proxy for you.

However, no bids will be accepted that are not given in room (though this does not bar having a proxy who can make bids for you if you would like.)
