The patient arrives on time, displays pleasant and mannerly affect. She is slightly defensive, concealing herself behind the diversion of etiquette.
She is looking to vent and proceeds to bypass a large part of the interview session with a stream of consciousness style approach. Revelations include:
? A competitive childhood (multiple sisters vying for Single Father?s approval)
? An inability to please Father Figure (Denial)
? A series of boyfriends who fulfill the role of Father Figure (wealthy, leadership qualities, positions of power ? tendency toward abuse? Power dominance?)
? A spurned lover over lack of credentials (Obvious regret, over the connection? Or the newly established credentials?)
? A series of fianc?s (Runaway Bride? The actual union appears to be avoided repetitively. Holding out for the most successful spouse)
