Kate is Kate, Toreador Vampire, been in Rhy Din a long time. She's Roman by birth (which is why she greets in Latin), but over the years has lost whatever accent she might have had.

Her primary "Hub" so to speak is Castle Delphines, the castle that was brought to Rhy Din when she was, it's pink. When it first appeared it was a fairly bright pink but over the years that has faded, it's still fairly pink though. Kate hates the color Pink.

She runs an event planning business and has a thing for clothes.

She also owns a townhouse in the West End, a Cottage on a lake near the Castle, a house she just bought with Lucien, and a fourth residence that she keeps fairly hidden.

Liv is Kate's older sister, she more favored of the two girls, she was married to a senator, had some children, and was very happy when Kate was turned and came back for revenge. She and her children were spared but Kate killed her father and her husband while she watched.

She became a fairly good mage (Good enough that she's been able to suspend the natural aging process) and at one time was connected with Kate's sire.

She was once a sympathetic character but over the years has slowly gone more insane, her hatred of Kate has made her lose focus on everything else. She has no empathy or sympathy left in her and anyone who is harmed in her war is simply a cost of getting what she wants.

What she wants is Kate's death.

She can seem fairly rational but she's totally unhinged and at one point had a small child turned into a ghoul, packed with explosives, and sent off to Alain DeMuer, to blow him up.

Chris is Kate's many times removed grandchild. He searched and dug for information about her and so she came to visit him. She recognized that he had magical abilities and so she took him with her.

He's been her friend, moral compass, and helper ever since. Kate used the same spell that Liv did on Chris so he doesn't age.

The two of them are very close, in fact Chris is one of the few people who knows where Kate is at all times and can predict her sometimes irrational moves.
