It was a Wednesday night and Fina was getting ready for a shower and bed in a couple of hours before she had to wake up for another day in the third grade. She kept rubbing her eye before her mom came by to look at it. It was official, though, Fina had pink eye. Taking a cool watered washcloth and placing it on her eye, Fina laid down on the couch and had to stay there for the night and all of the next day so her room and bed could be disinfected and washed.
So, there was one-eyed-covered Fina, laying down on the couch; all ready for bedtime, but it wasn't bedtime yet.
8:30PM
Look. Friends is on. Fina did not understand it, something about Rachel loving Ross, but Ross crushing on someone else for now.
9:00PM
Law and Order. Fina hummed along to the theme. And slammed her fist in the air when the cut scene sound was heard.
9:10PM
Fina's mother changed the washcloth with a new one.

Fina fell asleep listening to Lumiere's voice on Law and Order.
9:54PM - 7:28AM
Although at eight-years-old, Fina can snore like noone's business. Throughout the night, though, her mom and dad went back and forth waking up to change out the washcloth with a new one.

Fina heard her dad wake up to make a fresh pot of coffee. Normally, Fina was awake and ready for school and join him at the table with the small ceramic mug of her own of coffee. This time, though, Dad came to her on the couch with the mug of coffee. Sitting up, she did her best to keep one hand on the washcloth and the other hand holding onto the cup of coffee.

Fina said goodbye to her dad as he went to work. Fina's mom woke up to check on her eye. Still a deep pink color, but it will not be as bad as it normally gets. She did suggest to Fina to stay home from school for the day.
9:00AM
It was weird for Fina to watch cartoons this early. So, Sesame Street it has been. Cookie Monster and the Honkers were always her favorite.
10:00AM
Fina's mom, along with Fina herself, watched The Price is Right. Mom usually got the pricing within $10 over or under. She was really good at it.
11:00AM
It was becoming time for Mom's soaps. First was General Hospital. Fina had absolutely no clue as to what was going on in the show. A couple of handsome doctors and pretty female doctors and nurses.
12:00 Noon
Time for lunch! Fina's mom made her a toasted peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich, cut into four squares and a glass of apple juice.

Time for As the World Turns. Which was about the time Fina took a nap.
3:00PM
Days of Our Lives. Fina's mom loved her soaps. Fina decided to start drawing and study her math. Even out sick, Fina liked to do schoolwork.

It was time for Maury. Luckily, it was with Jack Hanna and the animals, which Fina was happy to watch. One of them was Tony the Sloth from the DC Zoo.

Local news from the channel that does NBC. Which, by that time, was just background noise to Fina's mom as she was getting dinner ready.
6:00PM
Fina's dad came home from work and her eye was a light pink, but Fina's mom allowed her to eat on the couch. This evening's dinner was grilled chicken skewers and broccoli-pork with orange slices. The orange slices are Fina's favorite part of dinner.
7:00PM
Fina stayed on the couch to finish up her schoolwork. During that time, Fina's mom remade Fina's bed.
8:00PM
Fina's mom said it was okay for Fina to go back to her room and that the pinkness in the eye was gone.
Fina hugged both her mom and dad before she headed to take a shower and get ready for a day at school in the morning.
