The portal shimmered and the Headmaster stepped through. After he did, he informed the guards that he would be closing physical transport through the portal on the school grounds, but allowing communication. If the need was dire, then a message could be sent to him at the Headmaster's Office.

Briarius walked through the courtyard at a slow pace. It was late afternoon and it was a brisk day. His robes blew in the wind. It was very calming...which is what the Headmaster needed right now. He noted some gardeners, masons, and painters finishing up the day's work.

'Soon...', he thought.

He made his way into the administration building. He went to his office and Melody was not at her desk. No doubt making certain things were well. He unlocked the door to his office and left it open. He sat in his chair and looked at the stack of papers and other business he had to attend to. He smiled a bit, picked up a quill, and got to work.

The Headmaster worked for hours and as it was well into night, he looked at the stack of work left and felt it was time for a break. He strolled out to the portal to Exodii and reopened it to physical travel. He stepped through to The Citadel. He reached the Infirmary and the nurse on duty informed him that Sha'uri was resting peacefully. Briarius chose not to disturb that rest. He quickly left Exodii and when he returned to RhyDin, he was frustrated. He didn't know what was going on. He hated not knowing things. He needed some time away to think. He headed out the gates of the Academy and to The Red Dragon.

A short time had passed when the Headmaster returned, escorting Kairee. The pair walked around the courtyard of the school, deep in conversation about the theory of magicks and fate. When the pair had completed their circuit of the school and were at the gates again, the pair vanished.
