The Headmaster returned with a few guests to the recieving hall in the main administration building of the school.

"Can I get anyone anything?"

Dimitri

Date: 2006-07-18 20:07 EST
"some Medical care..." His blood dripping on the floor.

Briarius

Date: 2006-07-18 20:21 EST
"That's easy enough."

His aide produces another bottle of blue liquid

"That should set you right and I will have our Priestess of Corellon Larethian look at you is she strolls by."

Icer1978

I'm fine for the moment, the dragon though seemed exhausted, and rested on the floor, her blue eyes gazing around the hall.

"The side effects of the potions should be wearing off soon."

Shauri

So where was this Priestess of Corellon? If anyone listened close enough, they might hear the sound of singing mixed with the ring of hammer upon anvil at the forge. It was part of her daily routine lately to be at the forge during the last part of the day. The inventory of finished weapons, shields and armor had increased to about fifty each, give or take a few. Considering how many different kinds of each could be made, Sha'uri had obviously been a very busy girl this past week.

The scent of fresh blood caused her to pause in her task. The frown furrowed her brow and she took a long deep breath through her nostrils. She set the hammer down and put the blade into the bucket of water while on her way outside to investigate what it was. It wasn't an animal that bled, but something .... no, Someone.

"Elven blood... no... Bri?!"

That would be who she would think was bleeding, in her now panicking state. Who else around here could it be? She wasn't bleeding.

Delicate fingers worked quickly to untie the straps. The apron was swiftly thrown off of her, revealing tank top and shorts beneath, while she ran in the direction the scent came from ... clearly the administration hall.

"Bri, you better not be dead.", breathless as she ran.

From the side direction, the front door was actually closer. Soon the sound of boots stomped through the doorway and continued running through into the hallway where boots slid along the floor until she came to an abrupt stop. She'd just ran past everyone else in the receiving hall.

An about face was swiftly performed and she ran back down to the room and paused at the door. Sure enough, there were people there. Her gaze went to Bri first. No apparent wounds there. A moment was given towards the Ice Dragon, but her gaze was stolen by the one who's elven blood had drawn her in. The pool of blood didn't escape her attention, neither did the strange blue vial.

"I see you've been out on another eventful evening, Headmaster Briarius... and you brought some of it home this time."

She crossed the room to the Elf, Dimitri, who's blood she could tell by now contained a bit of human. She was quite direct, yet gave room for that personal space.

"Save the vial for another time. Will you let me help?"

Tsu Nami

((Bah. I should have checked in earlier today.))

After Icer had escaped him, he had stood there, dazed... Wondering what was going on and just generally dazed. He arrived on the scene barely too late, and he returned to the school with his head down, without a word. And he was as such even now.

Briarius

"Ah, everyone, this is Priestess Sha'uri. She is a follower of the Elven Diety of Healing."

He sees Tsu walk in.

"Good day counsellor. I trust that your opinion of the carnival today is similar to mine?"

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-18 21:41 EST
"Healing is one of Corellon's traits.. so is Magic... and War.... actually"

Her voice trailed away. She couldn't help but add that to the partial repitore Bri had introduced her god with. Wether anyone was interested or not, she really didn't care. Her gaze, though, was busy looking over the elf, trying to ascertain Dimitri's wounds so that when he agreed to let her, the healing could be swiftly and completely done.

Dimitri

Date: 2006-07-18 21:44 EST
He falls to the floor passing out as his blood pours out faster now. His skin pales as his breath is raspy.

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-18 21:54 EST
"Damn!"
Is about all she could say before Dimitri fell to the floor. Sha'uri caught him, easing him to the floor. There were no words spoken, just an intent gaze with a sapphire flame in her eyes. Her hands ripped the clothes to reveal the wound and then gently her fingers moved over while psionic healing began to close the wounds and stop the bleeding. Only after a moment did she begin a prayer of full healing, reciting the chant until a blue light glowed from her hand and eased warm healing energy to the wounds.

Dimitri

Date: 2006-07-18 22:03 EST
He grunts and grabs her hand pushing it away out of instinct his eyes flashing black his skin is covered in dragon scales instantly.

Briarius

Date: 2006-07-18 22:26 EST
"Sha'uri move!"

His aide immediately hands him a red vial which he force feeds to Dimitri. Hopefully, this would suppress the drconic powers as it did in Icer.

He watches Dimitri, an unhappy look on his face...

"...It was terrible. A joke. A sham. All of the above, below, and to the sides... It was my first venture as a lawyer. I am the fourth Edge of Life, Tsunan Nami. I have more experience in beating down evildoers... Not so much in legally defending innocents. That guy... Curian, was it? I should have been able to tell, and I should have done something."

Dimitri

His body began to Reject the potion as he began to change forms. In a flash Briarus was flown backwards and hthe green dragon stood above everyone and fell to the ground weakly.

The cowgirl Queen was late again it appeared but this time with very good reason. She had to go home and change out of all that finery, which took longer than a male might think it would, and back into her comfortable well worn jeans, broken down cowboy boots, her rucked up Imp t-shirt tied in a knot between her breasts and of course her battered Stetson.

Strangely though she now was wearing her elven sword upon one hip and the matching dagger at the other, both sheaths threaded through the belt that was in the loops of her jeans. Concealed were still her favorite daggers and a few other choice weapons but now she had visible ones on her as she strode into the Ravensheart School for the Gifted and spotted Icer lying down, Briarius and his aides, a strange female, Tsu, and Dimitri back in dragon form.

Des blinked and chanted in dragon tongue so that the soft blue glow immediately surrounded her in a protective circle as she came to a halt and glanced from one to the other while speaking, ?I would say howdy but it looks like there is trouble again. Don?t even think about attacking me because Gav will go ballistic and I got too many things going on right now to be dealing with him getting irrate on me again.?

Icer1978

An eyeridge arched as she looked toward Tera upon the queen's entrance, still simply laying there.

It's alright Tera, I'm fine now, and Briarius is going to see what he can do for us.

"Unexpected...but not cataclysmic. It appears that the form of dragon Dimitri is does not accept the serum. No bother."

He picks up the vial that held the serum and then walks over to Dimitri. He touches the dragon with his other hand. A black glow first surrounds the Headmaster, then Dimitri, then the vial fills with a reddish liquid. The blackness fades and Dimitri is as he was, but the Headmaster looks a bit pale. He moves to his aide and hands her the vial.

"Take this to the alchemy laboratory."

As she does so, he turns back to everyone else. A grim realization crosses his face.

"Sha'uri, he has been poisoned. Can you please identify the poison and if it is meant to be fatal? If it is, please remove it from him before he dies."

He frowns a bit.

"I wouldn't put it past Detective Curian to accidentally put a lethal poison in the collar."

Shauri

First shocked that her hands were thrown away, she still didn't hesitate to duck as Bri was flung from Dimitri's now changed form and cast the quickened spell of Feather Fall upon Bri to ease his landing. It was a good thing she had exceptionally quick reflexes and was able to reach up and touch his hand before he had sailed completely out of her reach. She looked back to Demitri.

"Well, there's gratitude for you."

She stood swiftly and moved to the, once again, fallen Demitri with the briefest of glances, though a potent glance, towards the lastest arrival bearing swords and protective magics and spewing some threat about someone better not attack her or else.... or something like that is what Sha'uri caught. The look Sha'uri gave that way clearly, without words, could've warned Des not to do the same to others in this place. Sha'uri didn't recognize the Queen. She also didn't know what had transpired prior to her own arrival upon this scene.

She looked down at Dimitri, not with anger but with more concern then anything. There was no fear in her, either. Her voice was calm and soothing.

"If I were to do that, I'd rip the house apart with my size. Now, please calm down and let me heal you? No one is going to hurt you. No one is going to hurt anyone."

An errent strand of hair fell from her brow into her eyes, she blew up at it only to have it fall back in front of her eyes again. Soot from the forge was smeared along her brow and down along her cheek, as if she had swiped a grubby hand across to clear it of sweat at some point in time. Her left hand was covered in soot as she slowly held it out to him, though she was ready to react should he attempt to attack ... her or anyone else.

"Come on, play nice...."

Looking towards the group gathered the dragon tilted her head.
He doesn't have a drop of dragon's blood in him, if anything the rage as well as that form was transfered to him by me in a past healing incident.
And as for the "detective" Curian has bothered me as well.

Dimitri

Dimitri looks around and grabs Shauri's wrist "Dont..." his eyes close weakly and he looks around the building seeing tera and Icer he frowned.

Tera Destre

Des piped up in the background chiming in with her friend Icer, "Curian has also bothered me in the past which is what got my husband Gav upset to begin with. That guy ain't what claims he is but I ain't sure just what he really is but I got me some friends and we is gonna find out."

She noted the look from the female Healer and couldn't help but chuckle quietly as she held both hands out away from herself in the age old gesture of peace while speaking to her. "I ain't gonna cause no trouble honest. I'm expecting trouble to have followed along or to show up at any time because that lyin' pyro ain't gonna leave my friends alone I just bet ya. Y'all got any shields on this here place that can keep 'em out maybe? Oh and I'm Des. Who would you be Ma'am?"

Des was doing her best to ignore that it was black energy that Briarius had called forth to settle the raging Dimitri down. In her mind black meant not good at all. The soft blue glow around her brightened slightly with her thoughts as she fought to reconcile the kindly seeming Headmaster with black energy use.

She didn't get anything from him that would denote he was other than sincerely wanting to help others and a good person so why did his magic take the color black rather than something she would associate with those of light and good.

Maybe like others she had known he had been dead at sometime and brought back. That would explain it. He couldn't use light anymore but still was good inside and used his powers for good things but it had to be black because that is all he had access to now.

Okay yeah he was one of the "good guys". All was well no matter if she was wrong in her reasoning or not She hadn't seen him yet harm anyone and that was the most important thing because he had been given plenty of cause to do so in the past and always taken the peaceful way out of conflicts every time she had seen him involved in one and she had seen him in plenty lately.

Des glanced Dimitri with a shake of her head. "Darlin' ya need to be Healed. Let the woman do what she obviously does and get it over with. Ya need help and this here place from what I can see is a good one and they only want to help ya. Maybe she can even get rid of that lyin' pyro's hold over ya. Just let her at least try Darlin'."

Sha'uri probably would have laughed at the Queen's reaction to her reaction of her majesty's entrance ... it really was comical, but the chaos running rampant in the room stole the humor of it all.

The implications being gleaned from the last few moments where, to say the least, alarming with all this talk of poison and tainted healing and ... and Bri's use of magic nearly choked her sense of reason... never mind he kept force feeding stuff down people's throats.... he used magick! ThAt in itself was a feat ... it was just too much to think about. Her thoughts flew in all directions and the anger began to rise. The last thing anyone needed, was for this dragon to let herself go into a rage.

As she knelt down by Dimitri's side, the draconic words of a time stop spell flowed swiftly from her lips, and that is what it did. From her prospective, everyone in the room came to a frozen stop except her. She was the only one to be effected by it .In truth, she was sped up so fast that her movements and words were impossible to comprehend and as if she hadn't moved at all. The time would not be wasted.

She quickly contacted her deity, asking how this might all be resolved, asking for his aide. His only answer was the rapid playback of the trial to infuse it into her memory as of she had been there to witness it herself. This answered many questions, and yet it caused many more. Though what a heart shaped charm on that bottle had to do with what Bri seemed to use it for, remained beyond her to see ... unless ... this was no time to think about that. She could hit him later. Thinkthinkthink..... but for a moment, all she could feel was Dimitri's hand still on her wrist, clinging to her.

She thought she understood why Dimitri didn't want her to touch him, perhaps he was afraid she would be tainted by what he seemed to think he was tainted with. She was getting the idea that perhaps these latest events with Dragon's raging out of control was some effect of the fluctuations in the nexus. But hadn't there always been these fluctuations? Why was she not effected by them? She was part dragon. Perhaps it was something in her own blood that kept her from being effected ... or infected. Was it the Erim in her? Instinct told her that this could very likely be a yes. Her father was the last of that kind.... Gods even among other gods...

"Only one way to find out."

There were three more actions she could perform before the effect of the timestop would end. The first was to cast a disintegrate spell on the collar around his neck. The next action, she cast a full healing spell, which would heal Dimitri as good as new, along with curing any diseases, restoring lost vision, curing mental disorders and negating any poison. The last action was to cast a remove curse.

As the time stop spell wore off, Sha'uri exhaled deeply, sat her bum down on the ground and waited to see..... to see all three spells go off simultaneously. The others never saw her cast all those spells, except perhaps the original one, the time stop spell, if they were really paying attention to her then. She had spoken it quietly.

And she waited, hoping they would all work .... waited, to see if she contracted anything ..... waited, to withstand any bite Dimitri might give her in a fit of rage for that would be one way to get her blood in him though she could think of several more pleasant ways ... and then she'd wait some more to see if what her instinct suspected of a cure could really be.

Dimitri

He snapped up in a sitting position the collar still on his neck. But his stomach wound was gone. He looked around grabbing at the collar in his elvish form. He looked around his dragon rage taking affect while he wasnt even in the dragon form. Three golems appear around the elf making a protective shell around him. "Where am I!?" He yelled.

Des was certain she had only taken one breath but there was the woman looking exhausted and Dimitri healed now yelling for all he was worth and looking mad as a hornet to boot but not in dragon form anymore.

Strange things were definitely going on in this school. Maybe it was like she had reported after all last month in the paper no matter what that nice Briarius had tried to convince her of otherwise.

If she got injured in any way her husband would kill her then he would kill whoever was around when it happened. The situation wasn't bad really. Not bad at all but there were other things to consider besides just herself now.

This was a volatile situation that could easily get out of hand and other people could show up that wouldn't be so nice still at any moment. Best course of action might be to listen to the beloved voice of her husband's emotions that just so happened to be screaming at her rather loudly to get her <insert amazingly creative upset husband terms> home.

She put on a warm smile and began to back right on back out of the door with the soft blue glow now a brilliant, radiant, no one could possibly miss it, ball of living color around her slender form. "Well, it has been nice visiting with y'all and I do appreciate the invite. I am pretty sure I am late being somewhere right now though. Y'all take good care and I do hope that your school does really well folks. BYE!"

She turned and "The Fearless Des" ran!

Lyin' pyro... She means Vanion, of course. "Did Vanion show up during all that commotion immediately after the anti-trial? It may have just been me... But it felt like he was there during that whole joke of a trial." He obviously held much contempt toward it. Needless to say, he wouldn't take anymore attorney ventures anytime soon. And that Curian guy really bothered him. "That one guy... Do you think he'll come back here?"

Shauri

"That is one hell of a collar. What is it? An Artifact? It's gotta be."

She said aloud as her arm was yanked up with Dimitri. He still had her wrist. Then she was squished between two gollems as three appeared out of no where, surrounding Dimitri. Had Dimitri spoken any words to bring them ... while in some fit of rage? Did he have a ring, a broach or anything that he activated? She couldn't see any. She could only guess that some contingency was the reason simply because to do the others would require some faction of mental control, which was obviously lost in a rage. It didn't really matter. She watched him pass out cold when the collar was activated. With one word, she Dismissed the gollems, all three. They vanished, going back to wherever it was they came from. She rubbed her wrist briefly, then checked him over, again.

"Well, at least he's in human form and healed. A few issues resolved, a few yet to go. I hope nobody expected this to be resolved on a whim because it appears to be far more complicated then all of that... He seems to just be asleep now. Maybe we should just let him do that. From what little I've gathered on my own in this very short time, I suspect the rage which was mentioned in the paper, isn't a result of being dragon, but an infecting factor of some sort that dragons are being made a target of. I can't say for certain, but it seems like a viable direction at this point. Bri, can you sample his blood again and compare it to the last sample you took to check for differences? like Dragon or other DNA and traces of poisons, nanotechnology, etc... What I wouldn't give for an tricorder or other analytical machine right now. I love those things, they are just the most thorough way to analyze."

She glanced up and gazed round the room, looking for anyone else who might need healing and taking note of who was there ... or apparently not. So wrapped up in watching the results on Dimitri, she missed the Queen running away. Of course, she still didn't know it was the Queen. She really didn't know who anyone was, except for Bri.

She stood and straightened her attire, wondering who everyone in this room was and feeling rather self conscious about her appearance at the moment. Her gaze rested on Icer.

"Perhaps a sample of her blood could be taken and compare it as well." She mentioned to Bri considering that Icer was asleep. "Maybe later, though. It might be nice to try and ask first."

One ice blue eye drifted open sleepily as she glanced toward Shauri, she'd no idea who that was, but at the moment it didn't matter, her gaze moved to Dimitri momentarilly, then she was out again, her chest rising steadily with each breath the dragon drew.

Shauri

"We should take them to the infirmery."

Casting a Tenser's Disc beneath Icer so the dragon could float behind her, She then picked up Dimitri in her arms. Then it was down to the infirmery. The room had two long rows of beds, one along each side down the length of the room and partitions that could be pulled for privacy at each bed. It was all quite open for now. She put them both gently into seperate beds and made them as comfortable as she possibly could. Again, she cast a set of full healing over both of them. Then she retrieved two pitchers of water and set one beside each bed. Then she pulled up a chair and sat by Dimitri's bed to keep a watchful eye on both. She just wanted to make sure they would be all right.

Dimitri

He remained outcold but his body twitched here and there. He grabbed at thin air, again the golems rose up from the ground but they soon turned to ash and dust. He sat up suddenly looking around his eyes still closed. "where am I? What have I done?" He laid back down slowly asking these questions waiting for an answer. "Icer? Where is she? is she alright? Help her..." His voice trailed off.

Icer1978

Ice blue eyes slowly drifted open as she woke and she looked towards the woman, tilting her head. Her gaze then drifted around the room and finding herself in a bed, she instinctively flipped herself onto her softer belly scales, and wrapped her tail around her side.

Nostrils quivered as she took in the scents around, this was a place she'd never been so she'd remain cautious, her gaze returning silently towards the woman, she'd also noted Dimitri nearby and simply gave him a reassuring rumble that she was alright.

Dimitri

Date: 2006-07-20 23:58 EST
He opened his eyes and rolled from the bed silently. Landing on the floor he sprinted down the long room looking for a doorway. He turned and ran down a hallway. Dimitri turned and ran into another room completly lost he turned around and around confused. He grabbed his head and tried to get out pulling at the collar with all his might.

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-21 08:40 EST
At first, he was out cold and Sha'uri almost nodded off after a short time until the restlessness set into his sleep. It seemed to her that Dimitri was having some serious nightmarish dreams with all that tossing and turning.

"It's okay, you're safe."

She tried to soothe and wondered just how much he understood that, though she doubted he did at all as the Golems rose up and faded into ash and dust. It made a little mess on the floor of the otherwise clean infirmary. A little cantrip was cast to clean it up.

Noticing Icer look at her, she gave the dragon a warm smile and reassuring nod that she was safe. It seemed that all the dragon needed was just some good sleep. And for a while it seemed that was all both of them were going to do. So Sha'uri left them alone to go clean herself up and shut down her forge for the night.

She was gone barely a half hour when she returned wearing not the shorts and tank top, but wore casual white gown tied with golden string and green sash round her middle, no shoes on her feet. She heard grunting from down the hall before she entered the infirmary. In an instant, she knew Dimitri wasn't in his bed.

Running down the hall, she entered the room to find Dimitri running around like a chicken with his head cut off ... rather, it looked like he was trying to take his own head off as he yanked and pulled at the collar.

Curiously, the collar wasn't activating like it had the last time he tried to mess with it. This made no sense at all considering it had withstood a disintegrate spell. It was possible the collar was just lucky to survive and the poison and electrical charge was only one time.

She thought perhaps the slight euphoric sense of a Calm Emotions spell would help him, though she was tempted to just light up a bit of hemp rope and let him breathe those euphoric fumes in for a while. She could use a bit of it herself. Maybe she should tie him up? Nah.

She went with the spell first, casting it quickly and moved to Dimitri. Her hands came gently down on his, though there was indeed some serious strength hidden there. She gently pulled his hands from the collar and tried to block to keep them from messing with it anymore. Soothingly, her voice purred with gentleness.

"Hey, it's okay. You're safe. Shhhhh.... it's okay. Calm down. Please Calm down ... please...I don't know your name ... just please calm down. I promise you are safe. And I really don't want to get harsh here but you're not making any sense.... Just Calm Down ... and it'll be okay. It'll be okay..."

Her fingers caressed his cheek as her hands moved to hold head still and steady so that he had no choice but to look at her, into her sapphire eyes that were pleading for him to just calm down.....all the while she kept backing him up to the wall, pressing his back firmly there.

Icer1978

She remained in the infirmery, at least for the time being, though she still acted nervously out of instinct, she'd stay on her belly, protecting her vulnerable underside, her tail twitching as she glanced back around the room once again. Finally , she then rose from the bed, and then darted off in the opposite direction of where Dimitri had gone, and she also snorted, finding herself lost.

Dimitri

Date: 2006-07-21 10:58 EST
"sorry..." he opened his eyes, his golden gaze meets her sapphire. "My name is...Dimitri locherin..." His collar glowed brightly and began to electricuted him. He fell to the floor as the poison began to flow into his body. His vision began to black out again. He fell forward grabbing onto Shauri, three golems appear from the ground grabbing her. Dimitri turned and ran down the hall kicking open the doors.

As he turned left and right he ran into Icer.

Icer1978

She blinked as Dimitri ran into her, the dragon tilting her head, she was already lost so descided against trying any further, at least for the time being.

Whispering so only Dimitri could hear, didn't I just see you go the other direction? Serpentine neck swivelled as she glanced back around again, then she returned to whispering, lets just hope our rage doesn't come out here.

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-21 15:25 EST
"I'm Sha'uri..."

Or perhaps the collar just had a delayed reaction. She barely started to smile, relieved that finally she was beginning to get somewhere with this ... barely got her first name out when all of a sudden a strong jolt of electricity surged through him and then into her, both bodies convulsing from the shock. How very embarassing....

She tried to let go but the electrical connection wouldn't let her until it had run its course. She fell, he fell and then strong hands melded from the floor and held her tight as all she could do for the moment was watch him run down the hall banging into the doors like a mad man. She wondered when he was going to pass out from it, or if he was swiftly developing an immunity to it. He disappeared round the corner. The urge for a rage was beginning to fill her senses.

"That's it. You get hog tied now."

Her eyes turned dark with a draconic iris as she allowed some of the rage to unleash, increasing her strength. A roll here, a wiggle there and she was able to maneuver partially out of the gollem's grasp. A few of its fingers from one hand broke as she pulled away, but another gollem managed to hang on to her dress. She didn't notice her bareness until a few steps into the hall revealed it as she passed by a mirror.

"Damnit!" her voice had deepened from the tinge of draconic rage, though her cheeks turned a rather red color.

She turned round and went back to the gollem, doubled her fist and knocked his head nearly off. Yanking the dress out of its grasp, she moved down the hall again, putting on her dress and tying it back in place. After casting a haste spell, she ran swiftly, easily catching up to the noise he created along the way since he was pausing to kick in one door to the next. However, she was too late to stop him from crashing into poor Icer. The two were sprawled out on the floor, having slid a few feet along the smooth surface.

The rope appeared in her hand out of no where and Sha'uri pounced on Dimitri. She spared no breath and moved like a blur under the effects of the haste and grabbed his hands, pulled them up and tied them together over his head.

"Sorry.... Dimitri... "

Her feet worked to keep him from gaining leverage while she flipped him over onto his stomach.

"Stop activating it! "

Her knee was quickly placed firmly in his back and her feet pressed against the back of his neck as she shifted, pulling tight the rope and grabbed for his feet, tying them up to the other end of rope and pulled both ends together, wrapping it round both his hands and feet in a perfect show of a hog tied man. She was half atop him with her one leg laid across his back... breathless.

"if ...no...You will not touch it again!"

All she could do was hope Icer would understand and not attack her for this... so she took hold of that rage and placed it aside, quelling those emotions from taking full control. A moment went by before she sighed relief of them.

"Yes, third time is the charm."

Then again, for the third time and Sha'uri hoped it would be the real charm, she cast a full healing upon this poor soul, hoping Dimitri would finally get some peace of mind from it. Still, she wasn't going to move from attop him just yet. In truth, she was too tired to.

"That damn collar has to go."

Nostrils flared and her eyes flickered dangerously as she witnessed how her friend was treated, jaws parting as she gave a feral roar, then lunged foreward towards the woman.

Luckily for Shauri though, the dragon hit another slippery spot and went down, snarling and thrashing wildly on the floor.

Shauri

She flooped back, staring up at the cieling ... tired, really just tired and annoyed... really just annoyed ... and... frustrated, the situation was a farse ... and the more she thought about the trial the angrier she became ... and then .... she let out a roar befitting the ancient dragon inisde, which of course shook the very foundation of the building and echoed for miles around.

BRIARIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was the headmaster doing?

She actually wimpered ever so quietly.

"Make it stop..."

Shauri

She rolled over to her side, sliding her foot off of Dimitri's back, then sat up to check him over, to make sure he was secure, but not in pain, to see if he was awake or asleep .. and to defend herself should the need arise.

Something was definately wrong with her, the dragon hissing, snarling and snapping at all those around her, she was blinded in her rage, friend or foe, she didn't recognize anymore. Even Dimitri was attacked. In her normal stage, she'd never harm him. but with everything that had happened from the trial on, just had built up her anger. Unfortunately for her, she was still young yet and had never been taught to control the anger, then snarling, she took to the air, flying down a hallway.

Dimitri

He layed on the ground not moving. He was awake now, he looked at Shauri quietly.

Shauri

To Sha'uri, Icer did look like she was throwing a two year old temper tantrum. Considering Sha'uri was not raised around full blood dragon kind, nor even in a family full of dragons, she had no clue that Icer was so very young or hadn't had proper guidance. Still, the behavior was akin to that of a two year old human.

She was surprised that her own yell hadn't brought everyone stopped in their tracks ... the chandeliers were still swinging from the effect. She hoped some time alone would allow Icer a chance to cool off. Whatever the dragon damaged, it could be fixed later.... even if Sha'uri had to spend the better part of the week casting a million mend spells. She would give the woman a chance to mellow out.

"She just needs time to calm down. I don't think she liked what I did.. but then neither did I."

As for Dimitri ... that quiet look nearly put her in tears. She hated seeing him or any other patient tied like that, but the elf hadn't given her much choice, because he obviously couldn't help it much. It was that damn collar. And that look ... it bothered her. He seemed calm though, and so was she... at least calmer then she had been just a moment before. The yell really helped herself.

"I'm ... I'm sorry Dimitri. I hope those aren't too tight, but I can't take the chance of you messing with that collar agian. You keep setting it off every time you mess with it and when you go into a rage. If you promise me to stay calm and leave that thing alone, I'll gladly untie it. I just don't want you to hurt yourself again. Promise me you'll stay calm and leave that thing alone?"

Dimitri

Date: 2006-07-21 20:13 EST
he looks at her thinking..."I cant promise you anything." He struggles at the ropes. his eyes turn black for a moment then turn back into the normal golden eyes. He continues his struggle, but he then said nothing just continued to struggle.

Icer1978

The dragon had worn herself out, the hallway she'd flown down coming to a dead end. Her wings unable to carry her anymore forced her to land, and she coiled up, closing her eyes, retreating into herself. Both wings lay sprawled out on the floor at her sides as she remained in that spot and silent, waiting and perhaps wondering just what was going to happen to her.

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-22 08:49 EST
"Then you are caught in a viscious circle while you wear that thing. You struggle, it sets off, you get angry, it sets off and every time it sets off you struggle more and get angry. I can't get it off of you while you're like this. And you will not learn anything if you continue succumbing to your anger over it. Please forgive me while I have no choice here but to put you to sleep. I can't stand this anymore. You need rest and so do I."

It was not a low level sleep spell she used, but a powerful word of command for him to sleep.

She levitated him and moved him back to the infermary. She thought seriously about using a feigned death spell on him to keep him in a sleep until such time that it was safe to wake him. But the spell would cause him to appear that he was dead and she knew what trouble that would bring. Besides, there were legalities to deal with over the issue. So she wasn't going to use it.

"So how does one apease everything? How is he supposed to learn to control himself, as was the design of said collar, if the thing does nothing but piss him off and trigger a viscious cycle? That's torture, on one hand. And on the other it is a means of teaching... usually for dogs or slaves. If he would stop getting pissed off, then it woud not trigger." she was quietly whispering to herself while thinking out loud. "Terrible for one so young. Yet, you did kill someone... I need time to think.. to rest."

She tied his hands and feet to the bed, using the thick leather straps designed with the bed. They were cushioned with a soft, almost velvety lining so as not to harm. Then grabbing a knife, she cut the old ropes and moved him to a more comfortable position on his back. Then she let him down from the levitation and pulled the blankets up to cover him.

Then she cast an silent alarm spell around him and the bed so that if anyone touched him, if he moved out of the bed in any direction she would hear the alarm in her head. She was about to cas a silence spell when the though hit her like a brick.

"Anti magic field!!! I'm so stupid! Why didn't I think of that earlier! Even an artifact can't work inside of it. Nothing in all the multiverse could. That collar will be useless inside it."

She was happy.

"I got it! I got it! It's gonna work!"

She teleported to her room. In her room, she quickly snatchede the item and slipped on that little ring. Then teleported back. She moved his bed to the center of the room and then used the ring to cast the spell, centering the antimagic field on the bed. The entire room was under the effects of an antimagic field except for the last five feet at either end. No magic would work inside it. None.

She sat down along the side, bouncing slightly on the bed as she looked down at him with hopefulness in her sapphire eyes.

"Wake up sleepy head. How do you feel now?"

Curian

Date: 2006-07-22 11:53 EST
Curian appeared next to Dimitri and Shauri. He looked at her then at the sleeping half-elf. "That wont work. There is only one way to get the collar off. But that spell you just put on, all it did was allow it not to zap him silly. It will still poison him." The knight laughed and sat down. "You dont mind if I sit here. He needs to be under constant watch."

Icer1978

Date: 2006-07-22 12:00 EST
Nostrils quivered as she caught a familiar scent, though faint, and rising, she moved silently back towards the infirmery. Upon entering, her eyes narrowed on Curian as she settled onto the floor nearby Dimitri and Shauri.

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-22 15:25 EST

She sat up, startled by the appearance and narrowed her eyes at the newcomer. Had he been downstairs earlier? He seemed familiar ... and rude. Was he laughing at her? She had to laugh at him while she nonchallantly scooched up along the side of the bed as if to put herself a bit more between this new one and Dimitri. She recognized him now, though there was no reason for him to think she did. She never met him, she wasn't at the trial and her expression gave nothing away.

"Oh, I'm fully aware of what it does. After all, I did cast the spell. I was only trying to give him some relief from the effects as it won't come off so easily. Though I've not had the chance to study it properly, I can assume the collar is some kind of artifact, or just damn lucky.... "

Brief pause.

"Very kind of you to offer to watch him. I think I can handle it, though. You don't look like the healing type. He's ill because of that thing around his neck. I've seen collars like that used on slaves, but this seems different. I'm curious though, about a few things. I mean, how does the poison know to inject just when he's angry? I mean, that would mean it could read his emotions, which couldn't be done by an item unless magically enhanced for it. Of course, it could be a mechanical thing to be triggered by specific movements of certain ... parts as if when someone is tampering with it or struggling harshly but not by simply wearing it. I mean, one wouldn't want poison to be constantly put into someone's system for that could easily be a cause of death no matter how harmless a poison might seem. Poison is poison and when you get enough of it, it kills .... Not even Slavers, no matter how cruel they are, would even allow that under any circumstance. If I had to give my professional opinion, as a healer, I'd say he's constantly being bothered by it. It does seem the poison is being injected far too much. Seems he can't even blink before it's being injected into him. Maybe it's even constantly .... so the damn thing's probably defective. Anyway, the bastard that put it there should be shot for not checking it. And I am sure there will be a harsh price if Dimitri dies from it."

By now she was leaned forward toward the Knight with her face, a harsh expression, not far from his. Her body blocked his from easily getting out of the chair ... that is, if he were a gentleman and most Knights were by difinition or they weren't really a Knight at all. Her tones were quiet and controlled, her body was tense, ready to counter any harmful movement this one might attempt. He wasn't going to go anywere very quickly. One can teleport into an antimagic field, one can't teleport out. He couldn't get by her without forcing it ... and that would clearly provoke a fight at this point ... a fight this Knight should think twice about forcing.

The smile was forced and dangerous.

"So before he dies ... What's the one way to get it off?"

Curian

Date: 2006-07-22 16:26 EST
"The needles are always in his skin. If they get moved too much they inject the poison into him. Or I just make it poison him constantly. Which I did when I put it on him, that is why he is soooo. Angry all the time." he chuckled. "The way to take the collar off is very difficult. My blood must be placed onto the collar spelling a certain word in an ancient Draconic language. But if spelt wrong a different kind of poison would be shot into him killing him instantly."

The knight bowed and sat down next to the elf.

Icer1978

Nostrils flared as the dragon remained on the floor of the infirmery, her eyes narrowed on the knight and she hissed, seeming rather aggravated at the man's presence. She made no other move against the knight, still exhausted from the rage she'd just gone through.

Her gaze turned to Shauri momentarilly, then returned to Curian.

Dimitri

He opened his eyes tiredly and looked at the restraints he pulled at them. "I feel tired..." He stopped struggling then tried to lunge at Curian. "What is he doing here!?"

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-22 18:43 EST
"Draconic, eh? Who are you and why would you do this? What makes you think you have the right to collar him and then barge in here like this? The only thing I've been told by those involved is basically nothing. "

Well, it wasn't really a lie. She kept her watch upon him carefully, still ready to move in defense.

"He is a patient under my care and that thing needs to be removed."

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-22 18:44 EST
She moved between Dimitri and the Knight.

"Calm down, Dimitri.... Calm. It'll be all right."

Dimitri

He calmed down and just stared at the knight and Shauri.

Shauri

A brief glance was given noticing the dragon had come back agian. In that brief glance was a look of thanks and relief that it seemed the female dragon was calm now and that Sha'uri would do what she could to protect. She was satisfied that Dimitri was calmed and looked at the Knight, waiting for his explanation once again.

"I would appreciate the explanation.... "

That was the truth. She seemed to be growing weary of all of it.

The Headmaster with two armored forms wielding crossbows loaded with injection darts enter.

"Detective Curian. What a distinct pleasure it is to see you again. Is there anything I can help you with?"

The two armored forms stand at rapt attention. Their entire bodies covered with clothing or armor, including the faces. He waits for a response as he tosses Sha'uri a red vial.

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-23 13:36 EST
Sha'uri was quick to catch the bottle, holding it tight in her grasp. She sat down on the bed by Dimitri shifting her bum in the nook between his arm and side so her back was to Dimitri. Her one knee propped up against his side with the ankle tucked comfortably under the other leg, which dangled down with her foot placed firmly on the ground. She glanced between Bri and this detective Curian while she opened the bottle to sniff the contents, trying to determine the ingrediants found in potions of mundane or magical nature... considering magic wasn't going to work in this antimagic field.

Curian

Date: 2006-07-23 13:42 EST
"There is nothing you can do to help me headmaster. I am just here to fufill his punishment. Since I am the head of the council I have made the decision to change his punishment." The knight grinned. "So I would like to see him up and ready to take his lashes as a man outside. Or right here. 23 lashes, for each person he killed."

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-23 14:08 EST
"Well well well!"

Sarcasm was never stronger. She put the stopper back onto the bottle, and nonchallantly set it down behind her on the bed next to Dimitri.

"What an amazing thing. Some things actually dO change around here. As if it were possible, they've actually gotten worse. I should've known better."

While talking, the hand which was hidden from view and held behind her... extended a sharp nail and placed it against the leather strap that held one of Dimitri's hands .... It was ready to cut the bonds like a hot knife through butter... yet she waited.

Briarius

Date: 2006-07-23 14:42 EST
"You may be the head of the council Detective, but it is not your choice to override their verdict. Not to mention that you have proven time and again that you a man obsessed with the death of this being. You wish to bring about death? Let me show you Death!"

The Headmaster is surrounded by a black mist. His eyes glow a hateful red as his hair and robes seem to flow with an unseen wind. He holds both hands up and snaps his fingers and the ground around the Detective begins to tremble as the hands of dozens of corpses break through and attempt to subdue the Detective.

"You have shown me that you have no regard for life! Dimitri's or anyone else's. You entered my private property uninvited and threaten my guests! For that, there is retribution!"

The corpse hands not holding Curian break through further and are indeed attached to corpses. Their eyes (or eye sockets in some cases) glow with a sickly red light. The two armored attendants to the Headmaster also seem to have this crimson glow from their eyes. A wall of black energy cuts the room in two. On one side is Briarius and Curian. On the other is everyone else and the exit. The room also now begins to fill with spirits thats eem to issue from the black wall as if the wall is summoned from the Deadlands itself.

Curian

He watched briarus carefully and smiled. "hmmm. I think I will just sit and keep an eye on him then. Not doing anything to do him."

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-23 17:18 EST
As soon as Bri spoke, she realized and cut the anti magic field. Now Sha'uri understood why Bri wanted her to drink the bottle containing Dragon Rage serum. All hell was about to break loose. So while the Detective was obviously ignoring her, she cut the rope, downed the bottle with one hand and cut a set of Dimitri's bonds with the other. When the room was cut in half, she jumped to the other side of the bed, cut the other straps, grabbed both Dimitri and Icer and headed for the exit.

"Quick! Run!"

She would drag them along kicking and screaming if she had to.

Dimitri

The dragon roared at being grabbed suddenly, her nostrils flaring. She also wanted a piece of the knight, something about him angered her, and she broke loose, muscled rippling underneath her hide as her wings unfurled and she pushed off the ground, flying the other direction, away from the two.

Tsu Nami

Tsu suddenly appeared on the scene... The wrong side of it, but he was there. He had left earlier, but he was back now, in more casual attire. However... Thinking about Curian had angered him intensely, causing him to transform and head back toward the school without thinking. White hair. Golden eyes. Translucent, ethereal angel wings were on his back, and they were golden too.

"I'm not a dragon, but I'm PO'ed at this guy too. As an Edge of Life, I must bring this corrupt official justice, or at least help the Headmaster in whatever way I can. Besides... I totally hate this guy." An intense golden aura appeared around him as he flew off toward the other side, trying to push through the wall of darkness.

Tsu arua and the wall begin to crackle and throw off jolts of energy as the force of death and the force of life attempt to edge one another out. Briarius turns and sees Tsu trying to break through and with a gesture makes a brief hole for Tsu to pass through. As soon as he does though, the wall is back intact.

Meanwhile, the corpses have all finally broken through and are attempting to restrain Curian. The ghosts that have formed from the wall float around Curian, disrupting any supernatural travel in the area.

He pants a bit after getting inside. "I wouldn't be surprised if he's got tricks up his sleeve. After all, this guy made it to the head of the Watch." He unsheathed his katana, which was flat on both edges and dulled at the tip and stood at the ready, charging energy around the blade to make it sharp. He was there to back up the Headmaster if he needed it... It seemed like he was taking really good care of the situation.

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-24 07:50 EST
The serum had a slightly different effect with Sha'uri causing an exaggeratede sense of euphoria. As she was dragging the two towards the door, she began to chuckle... then giggle .... then laugh and it got worse until she couold no longer hold on to them both. She called after Icer, laughing.

"You go girl! Get him! I got Dimitri."

She opened the door, slamming it shut as she pulled Dimitri out into the hall. Sha'uri, though calm, even euphoric, was still angered of the whole situation and fed up with it. It was dangerous to piss off someone like her and it was time to put Curian in his place. Yes, it was a good thing Bri gave her that serum. It allowed her to think much more clearly and kept her from, so to speak, nuking the whole place.

The portal opened upon her command and Sha'uri quickly pulled Dimitri through it with her as it closed behind them. She pulled him a short ways down a strange hallway and then a door slid opened with a shashink all by itself. They entered and it closed on its own. Shashink.

Inside were people, who turned to her and with a marked note of reverence bowed to her. She graciously inclined her head. There were strange panels and markings around the room. For anyone who had ever seen this technology, it could be easily associated with things like space ships...

She shoved Dimitri ahead of her into what seemed like an open cell. There were no apparent doors, though as he landed on the floor, a strange hum began and the sides of the opening began to glow. It was a forcefield across the opening and around the edges of the entire cell which was designed to keep people, and whatever, inside the cell.

"Run scan, transport him to the other cell minus that collar and those poisonous needles .... now."

The attendant's fingers manuevered over a panel and strange lights surrounded Dimitri. Then Dimitri, minus the collar and all poisoned needles, was transported into another cell next to it. The collar and its components were left behind in the other cell. Ah, technology was difficult for magic to beat, if indeed magic could with some things. For no more than what the collar was, it could not beat this technology. And there was the collar laying on the floor of the other cell.

"Run a scan." She ordered.

Strange lights touched Dimitri from head to toe.

"Clear." The attendant informed.

"Shields down for his cell."

And the strange hum around Dimitri's new cell went away as the shield was brought down. Sha'uri stepped in by Dimitri and cast one more heal spell.

"Now, you are free of that thing. Are you ready to go back?"

Smile. She opened the portal that led back to the hall in Ravensheart School where the first portal had been placed. About three minutes had passed since they had left.

"After you."

The dragon roared angrilly, her eyes remaining on the knight, Curian, she didn't notice the headmaster, his guards, or the other, and she circled around, sending her icefire directly at the hated man.

Irritated then also at the fact that she was divided from him, she snarled, taking off down another hallway, now she was raging again.

Curian

Date: 2006-07-24 09:40 EST
He dodged and weaved with the greatest of ease. His speed was unmatched, no one could out run him or touch him. From his point of view everyone was moving very slowly. "You cannot save him shauri! There is not but one way to get that collar off! If you give me the elf I will take it off!" The knight dodged again he still did not draw his halberd.

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-24 10:14 EST
"You know, Dimitri... there is always more then one way to skin a cat, or take a collar off. Even for the gods."

She glanced briefly towards the collar inside the cell.

"destroy it."

The bow was given, buttons pushed and the explosion was contained within the cell. The collar was gone. simpy just gone.

Shauri

Date: 2006-07-24 12:06 EST
She looked back to Dimitri.

"Now, you can go back if you want, even try to kill Curian .. I won't stop you from defending yourself, but I hope you will respect me here and respect the fact that I'm asking you to just stay clear of that room. I've never seen the Headmaster like this before and while it seems he's using his ..."

She paused briefly and laughed, almost maniacly.

"...talents for a good use, I do not know for certain just how far into the dark arts he's been pulled."

The laugh and smile stopped abruptly replaced by a serious visage.

"He's angry, far angrier then I've ever known him before. It is hard to predict just what he'll do. But from what I saw in there before we left, he has Curian surrounded.... and blocked from leaving that other side. He won't get out of there so easily. If you go, you do so at your own risk and there is no certainty that you will get inside where Bri has Curian. I shall not go for I do not want to give him a way out... Curian must accept his situation in there. He has brought this on himself. Please don't allow him a way out."

The portal went to the hallway. From there, there were two directions he could go. Right led to the door of the infermary, Left went down the hall and away.

Icer1978

Another dead end, she'd become lost once again, and snarled in aggitation, she wanted the knight, and nostrils flared as she caught his scent once more. He'd only thought he couldn't be touched.

Following the scent, she came in from behind, her talons digging into the knight's back as she snarled and jaws snapped at Curian's throat.

Tsu Nami

"You think you're so fast, huh?" Tsu started to glow a little bit, not caring as much to backup the Headmaster as he did to go right in and sock it to the enemy... That one move... What was it again? Hmm... Got it! He yelled forcefully, causing the energy inside him to circulate at an amazing speed. He willed it to enhance himself, and enhance it did, and since he was transformed, the enhancement would be quite great. He sheathed his sword... Curian's speed was unmatched... At least until he met Tsu. It was in almost the blink of an eye, he had sped up to Curian, though such a fast maneuver would be very taxing on him. And from there, he'd send a fierce kick up at his chin, intending to launch him into the air...

Briarius

Date: 2006-07-24 18:55 EST
A small smirk crosses Briarius' lips as Curian begins to taunt.

"Detective, there is other ways I have to do things."

He raises his hand and a black aura surrounds him and flashes outward weakening all living creatures within 20' of him and strengthening the undead 20' around him. The effects of the blasts feel like all the strength was sapped out of your body. It's difficult to move, talk, or even think.

The dragon's talons remained lodged in the "detective's" back, but whatever the headmaster had done had affected her as well, considerably hindering her attack on the knight she despised.

A snort was given as she ended up on the floor behind the knight, her gaze moving toward the headmaster, then to whatever he'd called forth.

Yet she felt drained, sapped of strength, she managed to tear her talons from the knight, leaving deep crimson gashes, and drug herself towards a far corner of the room, until she'd be able to rebuild her strength.

Up until then, her head rested atop her forelegs as she just watched.

Shauri

It seemed to her that Dimitri was hesitant... or maybe she was just that anxious ... either way, she had a feeling he was going to go in there, anyway. She had to laugh softly. Delicate fingers faned open with a circular pattern as twinkling lights flowed in their wake, swirling round to converge into a dark blue vial with silver ruins resting there in her hand. She gave it to Dimitri.

"Here, take this. It will protect you from dark forces evil and the negative energies that will no doubt zap you should you walk among them. It will only last for a little while after you drink it ... long enough to endure a fight."

She helped Dimitri step through the portal and closed it as she followed through. She could no longer keep it open for fear of bringing ill to the people there. This she would not allow.

She moved to the side of the hall and glanced briefly at a suit of armor and weaponry displayed along the side. She could tell they held some minor magics, mostly for accuracy and ability to hit supernatural creatures, even those especially difficult to hit.

"Nice..." she purred. Then grinned, "Oh, yeah.... guess I'm not dressed."

An elven word was spoken to bring her own armor and weapons to appear fully doned upon her person in the blink of an eye ... black pants, white shirt, black dragon hide armor heavily enchanted with ruins of dark blue, hard leather boots, studded leather greives and twin elven swords strapped securely at her side. They were no longer peace tied. She was now officially ready for whatever fight might come her way. She pulled up a chair and sat down in the hallway and there she closed her eyes, stretched her senses and kept a vigil watch on the entire complex, though focusing mainly upon what was occuring within and around the infermary.

Dimitri entered the portal going into the infermary. Dimitri walked back and forth in the building. He sat down closing his eyes taking his mind off of everything.
