Briarius, as with all things, checked and double checked his list. The missives were sent to students and families. The staff was notified. Appropriate transfers were made.

Although he knew everything was done, he still worried. He had made a sizable donation to the various funds that helped to ensure public education for RhyDin. This was it. This was the end of his time as a Headmaster.

He sat in his office and went over the plan to sever the ties between Noledor and RhyDin once the term had ended for the hundredth time.

He also idly wondered about some of his life choices and what he was going to do now.

The end of the term was approaching, yet some students expressed interest in finishing out a Summer term at Ravensheart. The Headmaster did not deny them.

The transfers were done.

The enchantments were arranged to close the portal soon.

The last remaining students were finishing up their Summer courses.

As the last students crossed through the portal back to RhyDin, Briarius thanked them and closed the portal after them, for good.

All that remained of Ravensheart Academy was the front gatehouse, now no longer enchanted. Dull, lifeless stone ravens peered at any who would look at this memory of an era that had passed. The land around the gate was free to be developed as RhyDin saw fit. However, the gate would remain as a landmark...a reminder.

Briarius went to use the gate to pass to his realm, but remembered. He smiled sadly and shifted out of the existence of RhyDin and into his realm of Noledor. It would most certainly not be the last time he was in RhyDin, but he was no longer tied to the realm other than personally.
