"His deal?"
Her teeth were clenched, grinding together as she forced the words out in a voice slightly less than human, tainted by the draconic fire and ice just bursting to get out at ...
"You old cantankerous fool!"
She relinquished her grasp on the hands she held while those long digits quickly struck like two serpents and grasped Spike round the neck, drawing him close to her as she stared down into him for that Lord, yet her vision only saw red from the lies.... That brief moment was all she needed to put two and two somewhat together.
"It is yOu that will be punished, using Spike only to take over his body later! I see you! ThAt's why you got the shadows to do this to him so you could have his body for real. What do you have planned? You just got .... caught..."
She stuttered as she began to realize...eyes widening as it began to sink into her brain that the Lord wasn't looking at her, it was Spike.
".....by ... oh, no...erm, Gods."
She let go of Spike's throat quickly, though her grasp on his soul only increased it's resolve to keep Spike in his own body. The draconic edge to her voice faded meekly away. Her words were a nervous flurry.
"Oh Spike.. I'm sorry. Not you... just... I meant, the one trying to take your body and leave your soul to the shadows. Did you make a deal with someone, like an old man, that allows him rights to your soul, to sell your soul to the shadows? I'm sorry, Spike, but you are in some deep do do."
