After a long absense from her classes and the school itself, the dragon made her way back, gliding on the cool breeze, and circling around, she came to land just outside the door, nudging it open with her snout then, she slid inside.


Briarius?, Shau'ri?, talons clicked on the floor as she made her way down the hallway, looking for her teacher.

Sabatical, canting her head to Sha'uri a moment, before shaking out her neck. I talked to Kitty recently, and she says that I should start taking a class on mind shielding.., looking almost sheepishly a moment.

Because.., hesistantly, I was caught recently offguard by a demon.

Not quite Cadence, a smile to her friend, settling in the hallway for the moment.

He got hold of an artifact, a flute that put me to sleep when it was played.., I woke up in a cave, with a collar and dragon saddle on, snorting a moment.

He caught my mother and cousin as well, but thanks to a few friends, my mother and I are now free.

Grin.

"Sabbatical... it's a leave, a break for an extended period, kind of like a vacation but sometimes it means more then just a vacation to rest up. Sometimes people need to center themselves or do some soul searching and this would be called a Sabbatical.. a vacation of soul recuperation... so to speak."

Yous mean demon possession?!

Cadence nearly took the words out of her mouth and indeed Sha'uri's jaw dropped a bit, not having even sensed the fae up above. This was abnormal for being so close. She knew Cadence wasn't even trying to hide, it's just that Sha'uri's senses were failing her, getting mixed up by the pregnancy. It gave her an uncomfortable feeling.

However, Lyndra was sensed and perhaps her genetic connection gave her an edge with the Head of House. Either way, it made her feel better knowing she wasn't completely screwed up...at least yet.

She was silent a moment, in thought.

"Slavers, not just people either... anything they can make use of and control. It's not right. I had a feeling this would happen. And if he isn't mixed up in this somehow, I'll be surprised."

She sighed, gently.

"Mindshielding I'm not so convinced that'll be enough. It will guard your thoughts but...if the flute is what I suspect it to be, it will not be enough in any way. Things like that take time, much time, to learn... as does learning to increase your resistance to magic or just increasing your strength of Will.. these are all things I'd recommend for you over time.. a long time. We could put you in classes, but as I said, it will be a long while in coming."

"I think you may need something sooner. There are magical items that can grant you this mind shielding protection and in fact are sold in the local venues here in RhyDin. Those will help, plus shields against magic like a magical resistance that must be breached by the magic of the artifact before it can attack your strength of will... it was your lack of will that ultimately caused you to succumb to the flute, of that I'm fairly sure. There are also items that can boost your strength of will while you are wearing them. While none are enough to withstand the artifact by themselves, the combination will be formidable especially if the items are of a high value in their making."

Her visage grew thoughtful and then dour as if with some memory. Her gaze shifted to Lyndra as if looking at a ghost. A moment later, Sha'uri shook her head visibly and sighed as if a weight of a world were on her shoulders. There was something she knew, and in that wasn't sure of the connections.

"Tell, me.. Icer.. Did you hear the name Travanix at all while you were captured?"

Nodding,
"Good. I hope they don't get you again. If ever you feel the need, Icer, you are more then welcome to seek shelter... wether temporary or extended time - in Exodii. There are many places you could be at there, and you'd be most welcome at the Citadel, always. You and your family. There are portals here at the school and portals in RhyDin that will take you into Exodii should you need to use them. There are instrucitons here on how to use them, and the one in RhyDin only goes to one place in Exodii City. You can ask just about any guard there on how to get to the Citadel. I usually keep them informed."

It had never occured to her before to even visit the home of her Mistress, or the one who's life had been given to her through. If it hadn't been for Sha'uri's mother, Lyndra wouldn't exist. If it hadn't been for Erique the same would be true. Why she never thought about visiting Exodii was beyond her at the moment, but it sounded like a nice idea and maybe the four of them could go together.

"Perhaps we could all visit there someday? Maybe make a field trip out of it? Just for a day?"

"Yee Haw!"

Lyndra whooped with joy.. and something she'd heard one of the students do around the horses. It looked like fun, and it was fun to whoop like that. She was so looking forward to going!

"Thank ye kindly, Mistress Sha'uri!"

She gave her a big 'ol hug. Then gave one to Cadence and one for Icer, too.

"Ye should come, too, Lady Icer! It'll be fun! Come on, please? Say ye'll come?"
