::Briarius sends missive to all of the faculty and staff of the Ravensheart School that there will be a meeting at lunchtime. Lunch will not need to be prepared as it is being catered in. The meeting will be had in the grand hall.::

And the cook strolls in to the Grand Hall ......... finds a chair and sits down to wait while watching the caterer's and making note of the food, smelling and tasting it since no one else was there yet. Well, sOmeone had to make sure the food was good, right? She looked all too innocent.

Sha'uri sauntered in about fifteen minutes later, snatching up a coffee before she sat down to wait. She seemed... out of sorts? Lack of sleep? Hung over? Well, *not with it* as she stared into her mug and blew gently to cool the dark concoction.

"What do ya think it's about?" Lyndra asked.

Sha'uri merely shrugged.

"Think maybe we'll be able to get the kitchen upgraded?"

Sha'uri shrugged again.

"Are ye feeling ill?"

Sha'uri shook her head and took a sip of the brew.

"Oi... this is gonna be a talkative affair." Sarcasm dripped.

Sha'uri glanced up from her mug to the cook with an unnerving stare.

"Sorry. Just trying to make conversation." Lyndra sort of slumped back into her chair.

Sha'uri sighed.
"No, I'm sorry. I didn't sleep well last night. Just trying to get my thoughts together. There are a few subject I would like to bring up while we're all here..."

Lyndra nodded understanding and the two became quiet as they waited....

The Headmaster moved into the room and stood at the head of the table.

"I will keep this brief so that everyone may enjoy the day off. I have put in a petition to open the curriculum for the school to be more encompassing. In doing do, I am hoping that the school will be able to be the first public learning institution in RhyDin. All staff positions will be reevaluated, but all who attend this meeting will be certain to have a favorable point in their favor to that evaluation. Are there any questions?"

"..... In doing do, I am hoping that the school will be able to be the first public learning institution in RhyDin....."

Lyndra blinked, wondering what that meant .. the position reevaluation part. Was her cooking not good enough? The question seemed written, screaming in that deer in the headlights expression...

Sha'uri merely nodded after taking another sip.

"Yep. I've a couple of questions... in light of going public, I hope you mean to hire more teachers? I have been teaching Tina all kinds of subjects, but to do it on a bigger scale would be more then I'd want to handle."

She puased a moment, deciding to tackle these next ones... one base subject at a time....

"Also, I'm wanting to start breeding horses here in RhyDin. I have one Firebrand male horse, two partials both female and both part Arabian... and one more female full blood Firebrand on the way. That'll give me one male and three females and a good start for a lucrative affair. Firebrands are known for their speed and strength... but also their gentleness. However, I need boarding space here. I'm interested in the stables you have out back, which are ample in room along with the meadow beyond the archer range.. that is yours, yes? Anyway, I'd pay boarding rates plus a percentage of whatever sales we can do here in RhyDin. It could help in teaching as well and maybe give some of them a bit of responsibility to help care for them. What do you think?"

The Headmaster seems to think a bit.

"For educational purposes, I would be happy to see that. I hope to move forward with the switch in the coming months. There is much that must be done."

Shauri

Lyndra spoke up,
"Master Briarius? If I will be cooking for a bunch of kids, on a regular basis, I think the kitchen will need an upgrade, plus perhaps some kitchen help. Will you do this?"

Sha'uri was just as eager as Bri to forge ahead.
"Indeed, there's much that needs done. Where do we start?"

Briarius

Date: 2007-01-15 19:17 EST
"Absolutely Lyndra! I will be interviewing for your staff soon. I also plan on upgrading the main kitchen and having a spare kitchen in all of the dormatories for our culinary staff to use"

He looked at Sha'uri

"Well...right now there are tests and permits I have to deal with. Perhaps I can put you in charge of finding some new professors..."

Shauri

Date: 2007-01-15 19:51 EST
Lyndra just beamed!

Sha'uri nodded.
"I'll put up adds for the positions. Oh... how many positions will there be, for which subjects?... I mean, I know theres' Math, Literature - with includes reading and writing, Music, Art, physical ed, Science ... which I could pull teachers from the Citadel if Necessary. It would be more on a temporary basis, but... if we need them, I can supply just in case we fall short. What other subjects will we teach here, and should I direct any magical professors to you for interview? You know how some things can cross over."

Briarius

Date: 2007-01-15 19:55 EST
"Being ultimately responsible, I have to be the final interview with all of them. I wish to offer a curriculum that will suit for any public institution/finishing school/adventurer's academy"

Shauri

Date: 2007-01-15 20:18 EST
Nods,

"So, on top of Math, Literature, Music, Art, physical ed, Science.. we should include wilderness survival, alchemy ..er... that's actually science, various language classes, Etiquette classes, Social sciences, ... eh.. Religion/philosophy."

Writes down all the various classes, thinking ahead.

"Bri? Will we have enough space here?"

Glancing up at him, she was a little concerned for it.

Briarius

Date: 2007-01-15 21:22 EST
"Oh yes...especially when I activate the runes I found around the grounds that set the school in the ethereal plane. We will have limitless room"

Shauri

Date: 2007-01-16 17:55 EST
The encounter with Erique all came flashing back, smack into her brain. She paled a bit.

"No, Bri... maybe you should just destroy those. I'm sure they are probably remnants from Erique. What about making other portals? You know, ones that you know what went into it and all that kind of good stuff.. so there's no surprises from anything Erique left behind.."

Nodnodnod, rather emphatically.

"You did tell me once that that portals were like crossing the street in Kadorasil..."

Briarius

Date: 2007-01-16 21:45 EST
"...which is precisely why I am confident those runes will work just fine."

Shauri

Date: 2007-01-18 15:48 EST
"Oh, I'm sure they'll work, too. What I'm leery about are any traps he left behind, perhaps some contingencies triggered by use. But If you're confident no ill will come, it is your school after all. I hope you can control them should something go wrong..."

She let that thought trail, though relented with a cordial nod. Still, his seeming lack of a phobia about going into another realm did not escape her notice.... Especially a realm that Erique had created the portal to. Had their trip to Exodii relieved his fears of it? Or was something else going on...

"I'll work on those advertisements for additional professors.."

Gazing to one, then the other, the cook decided to put her two cents in.

"Sweet cream for your buiscuits ... anyone?"

Lyndra smiled and offered the butter dish to either one, as if offering a bandaid of sorts.

Briarius

Date: 2007-01-21 20:10 EST
"With your destruction of Erique, the portals seem to have been undone of his manevolent magicks."

He looks to Lyndra.

"None for me thank you."

Shauri

Date: 2007-01-22 17:25 EST
Sha'uri took the sweet cream butter, lathering up her biscuit before she took a bite. Chewing thoughtfully, she looked at Bri intently as she finally swallowed it down.

"I'm paranoid aren't I..."

It was a statement more then a question, spoken calmly yet with conviction....followed by one long sigh....

Briarius

Date: 2007-01-22 22:17 EST
"No...you are merely making certain that people are safe"

Shauri

Date: 2007-01-23 14:56 EST
"No, really Bri.. I'm paranoid. I'm afraid he's going to come crawling out of the woodwork at any minute and I don't know why."

She was seriously admitting her fears.

Briarius

Date: 2007-01-28 19:01 EST
"If what you communicated to me was the truth, then all will be well."

Shauri

Date: 2007-01-29 19:00 EST
He seemed so sure of himself that she felt silly for being so paranoid. She sighed and nodded resignation.

"You would know better then I of his capabilities. What I told you was the truth as much as I know. Is there anything else we should bring up here?"

Switching the subject, Sha'uri was trying to think of anything else they needed to discuss. She also got up to go get some more munchie foods.

Sensing the end Sha'uri wanted, he concluded with.

"If there is nothing else, please enjoy the rest of your day off"
