Vikram Ambani, General Secretary of the Social Unity Party of Rhydin's Administrative Commission, comes to the school to pay a call. He's all dolled up in a black Nehru suit, and looks eminently political. Unlike his other encounters, he looks comfortable in the academic surroundings. Which makes sense, considering his background as an intellectual.

"Excuse me," he says as he walks into the administrative office. "I'd like to speak to the headmaster on behalf of Mr. Anastas Iskandorj and the SUPR."

A cute re-headed elven woman looks up to the man and smiles.
"The Headmaster has open office hours at this time, please go right in."

As one enters the office, Briarius looks up from his papers. He rises from his chair.

"I am Briarius Ravensheart, Headmaster of this Academy. I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage as I know not whom you are."

He smiles and waits.

"It's a pleasure, sir. My name is Vikram Ambani, General Secretary of the Social Unity Party of Rhydin's Administrative Commission." He really digs his title, apparently.

He sits down as soon as Briarius does. "I'm here on behalf of Chairman Iskandorj. As you know, the race for governor is only two months away, and we've already begun putting together our platform. We have a six-step plan, you see, and step four could involve you." He takes out a golden cigarette case. "Do you mind if I smoke?" He complies with the Headmaster's answer, and then goes on.

"I feel that we should check to see if our promises are welcome before we make them. To cut to the chase, Headmaster sir, if elected my party would like to subsidize your school in exchange for opening up an education-education program. To create teachers. Improving the standard of literacy and basic education is one of our most important positions, and we would like you to help." Either he takes a puff of his cigarette or drums his fingers on his case.

"We don't plan to impose any kind of oversight. Provided you can open slots for, say, 75 education students, we're prepared to pay all their expenses. If this works, we may expand our program further." Yes, he's definitely comfortable here, academic though he is.

"So what say you, sir? If we had the power to make this offer, would you accept it?"

::The Headmaster smiled::

"The Academy does have such a program and if you wish to enroll students into it, I would welcome it wholeheartedly."

"Excellent." He smiles and nods, and then stands up to extend his hand to the headmaster.

"Here's to the start of what will hopefully be a long and prosperous relationship between the academy and the party." Hands shaken, he departs courteously.

::she heard a familiar name as she was passing by the headmaster's open door. She shifted invisible and peered in from the top of the door as she was hanging upside down now. The man didn't look familiar, but the name he spoke was. It wasn't a smile she wore, but a frown. Being around the Bonnie Corp was teaching her some things. Instead of hanging there, she turned herself upright and dusted the ceiling corners a bit around the door area until the man left, which wasn't long at all. Then she flew down and went into the headmaster's office::

Iskandorj.. I heard that name. Is that Anastas? I met him once. He seemed nice.

::she turned visible::

I hope yous know what their plan one, two and three are... Or theys plan five and six for that matter. Somethin feels weird here.

::she shrugged cause she didn't know how else to explain it. It just felt weird to her. Maybe she was having a weird day::

Well, there it is.

::with another shrug, she flew out of the office and resumed her work::

"Mistress Cadence...", the Headmaster began.

When Cadence returned, he continued.

"Might I remind you that although it was logically unsound to take in a winged elven girl who had no past and was deeply connect with a demon of Chaos, I still decided it was best to give her a chance. It is technically not a public institution's place to deem worthiness based on intent. I assure you though, that Ravensheart Academy will exercise certain rights if things go...awry.

...and, as a member of this Academy's trusted staff, you should know that you can talk to me directly. A passing word and then departing is no way to make a point."

He smiled at Cadence.

"Besides, I have a feeling that our deal is dependant on the race of Governor."

"Mistress Cadence...", the Headmaster began.

::The duster froze in mid stroke upon the corner gargoyle that overlooked the nearby intersection. Her big 'ol pretty blues got really big. Gulp::

Oh boy...

::taking a deep breath she got up the courage to go back to his room. She entered and landed, walking a few shyly placed steps as she straightened her little skirt and sweater and carried herself like a child who was sure they'd just gotten in trouble. She knew she shouldn't have said anything. but his smile put her at ease and drew a smile of her own::

Sorry, Headmaster. I didn't mean to drop a thought and run but I didn't really.. I just meant... well, I dunno, I just guess I wasn't sure what I wanted to say and I kinda felt a little stupid saying it so I didn't think you'd really want to hear and ....

::a sweet shrug of her shoulders::

It just felt weird is all.

::she didnt' go away this time::

"As I said Mistress, you are a member of this institution's trusted staff. Your opinion is important to me. Not to mention that you are a part of this family and I will not ignore family."
