Experiment 1:
Renna stared across the table with a silent intention. Her eyes gazing beyond the young man?s skull, as he ate away at his bread and cheese. Ignoring the ruckus of a nearby table of drunkard humans, suddenly she smiled at him, ?Does it taste good??
?Yesmph,? Spoke Yarin, nodding his head enthusiastically.
Clickclickclack, went her mechanical hand against the tabletop in its unsettling rhythm. ?I am going to play a game, and I want you to help me. You see, I know you?re an escort, and you?re paid to make sure I have a good time, I do, however, desire your company and nothing more.?
?That?s fine,? he said with a terribly handsome smile between golden locks, ?I sometimes get weird ones that just want me to stand next to them in the street for a few hours?? He frowned at that, but regained his smile as he munched down more bread with his beer and cheese.
?What a shame?? She sighed disinterestedly, but regained a strange curiosity when she eyed a single bead of sweat dribbling down his brow. ?How do you feel??
Yarin blinked, then sighed a little himself. ?To be honest I want to feel like I used to. You know? Back in the good old days of youth??
Renna chuckled seductively, ?Oh really? What about all the naughty things you get to do women?? She perked a brow, ?Isn?t that a better feeling??
?Suppose.? He shrugged, before adding, ?Aren?t you going to have some?? He lifted some of the sourdough towards her.
?Oh,? She lifted her fleshed hand while apologetically dipping her head forward, ?Please, I made it for my partner, but it will do just as good filling up the stomach of a poor, handsome young man??
Yarin grinned, ?Won?t your husband get a little jealous??
?Husband?? She snickered a bit at that, ?Nah, I think, my hunny will not mind this time.?
?Oh? He?s that kind of a guy?? He grinned while he struggled not to think of dirty antics, he quickly turned his attention to the hearth, ?Is it hot in here??
Renna shrugged a little, ?Ah, I don?t really feel hot or cold at the moment. Are you alright? It looks like you?re a little pale?? Standing, she slowly made for her cloak, and slipped it over her shoulders, ?I?ll go get some herbs. You wait here. I?ll be right back?? She moved past him, but gave him a taste of her own flesh as she ran her fingertips across his lips.
Then, as she moved out of the tavern and into the street, she made her way towards a spot she had previously designated as a great spot to watch the fireworks. Then, as she turned, she slowly lifted up her glasses to her face, so that she could see with great interest ? a notebook and a pen emerging from an inside pocket at the ready, to record the results.
A terrible scream of frightened and confused staff and customers ripped through the street, as from inside a deep howl spewed so loud, that it shattered the windows, then, finally with one mighty explosion that lit up the area in a plume of smoke and purple flame, the occupiers inside were burnt to a cinder, instantly.
Renna tapped the pen against her lower lip, ?Perhaps I put too much of the substance into the bread? A lower dose the next time and perhaps...? She looked to the bodies scattered around the area, some moaning and crying out in pain, while others were nothing but mere smoking husks. ?Less collateral damage.?
