Materials have arrived for the construction of our team float for the Citizens Day parade on Friday. Everyone's help is needed to get it completed and ready to go. Scheduled practices this week will be devoted to construction, at standard pay. Any additional help outside of that time would be greatly appreciated!

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to get to know our new players, build some team spirit and promote the organization to the public.

I look forward to seeing each of you there.

The materials delivered to their workspace that morning included:
- All-terrain landing vehicle from decommissioned freighter
- Shuttle from decommissioned freighter
- Trailer bed and hitch
- Flexible plastic tubing and connectors
- Stacks and piles and mountains of old copies of The Post
- 50 lbs of flour
- Various paints in luminous colors
- Ten boxes of mechanical junk found at a flea market
What would they make with it? What else did they need?

The sketch was rough. exclusding the platform and the rover pulling it, bnut in basically entailed some psychdelic painting of the shuttle and a giant papier-mache planet behind the ship, like it was taking off. The central sphere of the planet ws to turn on a little motor, displaying the Spacers' logo in a 360-view.
