The flyer had been posted and handed out in various parts of the city, it was even seen on a few tables and on the bar at the Red Dragon Inn.

Strike up the band, start the party, Rhy Din has a new (violent) pastime. Yes Hockey has come to the area in the form of the Rhy Din Hockey League (RHL). If you?ve been anywhere in the past few weeks you?ve heard at least one person talking about what appears to be the new favorite hobby of many of the cities more highly visible citizens.

Was that Corlanthis Wystansayr seen sporting a jersey with a rainbow unicorn on it? Not only that but apparently he plays for the Marketplace Monocerus, as goalie no less. That alone is enough for anyone to buy a ticket and watch. Rumor also has it that the beloved Cor has a nick name within hockey players ?Sparkle Horse? or ?Sparkle Fish? The first due to his rather, colorful and sparkly goalie mask (glittery, rainbow mane? Really?), the second due to his, unique goalie style.

Even our own Princess Kate has been seen wearing a bruise or two after a game. Rumor has it she?s also running things. A princess? Running a hockey league? Only in Rhy Din. Then again he nick name is Princess Trouble isn?t it?

With a long list of noteable players, including London ?Silent but Deadly?, Russell ?Shot Through The Heart? Archer, Riley ?Rumble n?Tumble? O?Rouke, David ?I Don?t Have A Cool Name Yet But I?m Sure I Will Soon? Lo, and the ever crazy Ehzoterik. Not to mention beauties like Quinn ?Hat Trick? Benoit and Duci ?Double Down? (What IS her last name) this is sure to be an interesting season.

It also appears that the league has tried very hard to set teams in all areas of the city, the traditional ?Rhy Din Dragons? team started the whole thing followed by the Stars End Spacers, The WestEnd Wargs, the Dockside Djinni, the New Haven Nians, and the wildly popular Marketplace Monocerous, it is believed that every section of the city is covered.

We attempted to contact Kate to ask her about the league but were only given a written statement from her office:

?Thank you for your interest!

We are very excited at the level of interest in the Rhy Din Hockey League. Each player, coach, trainer, Zamboni driver, and office worker is just thrilled at how this season is going.

Thanks to those who are already playing and the generous offer of Mr. Alain DeMuer to sponsor one of the Arena?s (Silver Mark, Drink it, Live it, Play It) we are happy to offer this unique and fun sport to the citizens of Rhy Din.

We hope that more citizens try out and play for the teams. It really IS a good time.

The Staff of the RHL?

Well it looks like hockey might be here to stay Rhy Dinians. Are YOU going to try out?

With the first few weeks of play in the Rhy Din Hockey League going on, it appears to be a success. Not only are more and more citizens trying out for the teams but those who aren?t trying out are quickly buying up tickets for their favorite team and going to games.

It appears that Hockey has taken over the city and everyone is enjoying it.

The first stand out star of the league seems to be Mr. Corlanthis ?SparkleFish? Wystansayr, the man who took the nick name SparkleHorse and applied it to his own team The Marketplace Monocerous. Now, not only is it normal to see citizens walking around with jersey?s and tee shirts sporting a unicorn with a rainbow mane, it?s considered a badge of honor. At least one fan has gotten a rather large tattoo of the mascot on his back. Only in Rhy Din folks!

The league has also picked up one of the numerous Granger clan, Cian Granger has burst onto the scene and seems ready to run everyone down in his quest for the first ?Rhy Din Cup?. Will he be able to pull the Wargs out of their current tale spin? We do hope so, anything to see this hottie take off his jersey in victory. As and aside the male staff would enjoy seeing Quinn Benoit do the same. So lets go WARGS!

In Arena news, everyone seems to be loving the two new arena?s that are being used. The two couldn?t be any more different yet both hold their own charm. The Stars End Aerodome is a modern palace of glass and chrome, complete with a robotic clean up crew (though the zamboni?s are still driven by humans and might I say that the adorable John Benandanti looks even more nummy on top of that Zamboni?), that was showcased last week when the glass was broken. I wonder if the staff of the arena was holding it?s breath hoping it would work right?

The Silver Mark Arena is a more traditional, home like setting. While the staff might not all be human, they?re also not robotic. Where the Aerodome is spotless the Silver Mark is clean but also gritty. It?s the perfect place to see a hockey game, there isnt? a bad seat in the house and the place was built so that no matter how far away you are you can hear every crunch and hit. It?s also rumored to be haunted or overrun by gnomes, no one?s sure which one yet.

Kate ?Princess Trouble? still appears to be the unofficial face of the league though we?ve heard rumors of an off world company and their various subsidiaries owning the actual league and teams. Whatever the case, everyone is staying tight lipped on the subject.
