Rhy'Din Vindicator

After the numbers came out, the collaborative effort of the Rhy'Din Vindicator Chronicle had very little choice but to act. Every single one of the 'roving reporters' who were planning the release of the new paper felt sickened by the trends that had been reported, and it was a unanimous decision not to wait for a spectacular rebirth, but to put their noses down to the grindstone and publish a special edition.

It was a less than grandiose comeback, but they felt it was more than important to get the real news out.

So, Candace, Rob, Norman and Jeff stayed up all night working on it. It was only a single page; Rob tapped it out into hot type and set up the chase, Norm and Jeff ran the news press, Candace stacked the papers. By the time it was over, they smelled of paper and ink and a hot-off-the-press special edition of a paper that was born of hope.

They stood together for a moment as they sent the newsboys out to deliver it; they were going to take a hitter on this, or rather, RUDE was... no charge for this first paper. Then, with their fingers stained black and their chins up, the newspeople went to breakfast as the first special edition hit the streets.

Isabel was very proud of the boys at the Vindicator. The first issue looked amazing. Stopping in RUDE cafeteria , she gathered up a few things then headed back to the offices set aside for the Vindicator.

The reporters were all out to breakfast, so Isa left her gifts, a bottle of champagne, an a basket of muffins with a note.

Rob,

The Vindicator looks marvelous, thank you! It's more than I had imagined you could do in so short a time. Welcome to the RUDE family, we are proud to have you.
