Jamie Kilner had been surveying the old, familiar streets of Rhy'Din. It had been so long since she frequented the crisscrossing lanes, a regular patron to many of the taverns and inns that catered to more alternative lifestyles. Her life as a mortal had been an unusual one, but within time she had gained stability. It was following that stability that she had met the demoness Jade and was transformed from head to toe into the alien beauty she was now. The demoness had made her her twin and would be eternal lover.

Then Jade had disappeared, leaving Jamie alone. She had searched the planes for her, but without avail. Eventually she decided to return here, the beginning, and start over, start anew.

Darkness filled the sky now as Jamie stood in front of a vacant mansion, appropriate in size and location that suited her needs and desires. The statuesque demoness, appearing strangely alluring to the mortal eye in her dark, green dress, low-cut to show off her plentiful cleavage, and above mid-thigh in length. Her red legs were toned in the matching stockings which traveled down to her emerald high heels. An image of lust, but possessing dangerous power.

She lifted her muscular arms, sleeves traveling down the crimson flesh from gravity's pull, her great, membranous wings stretched outward to their full span, and she pulled from within her a great surge of energy. The ground began to shake and roll with power, a great vortex opening underneath the building's foundations?a gate to the Abyss. Unearthly shapes rose up from the rent in reality and spread through the mansion. Swiftly, as if receiving telepathic instruction, the summoned demons went to work, swiftly clearing the inner rooms and exterior of dusts and molds, and spider webs. Quickly too, did they see to conducting minor repairs to the home, bringing it out of an age without upkeep. The end result brought it to a newly polished look, dark and foreboding in appearance, but well cared for like a mansion should be.

Jamie smiled to herself, examining the grounds and the architecture of the building itself after the quick renovation. It was perfect. This would be her home and her place of business, Ame Corrumpue Manor. All that was left now was to find people to staff her business, and that would require much time and work in itself.

With a wave of her clawed hand, the front pair of doors opened, allowing her access within. Calmly she strode into her new home, high heels clicking against the stone walkway. Once within its walls, the doors shut, sealing her away from the chilled air of the night.

"Home, sweet home," Jamie said to herself in a whisper as she glanced across the large foyer.

Jamie Kilner had grown more comfortable in her new mansion in the northern neighborhoods of Rhy'Din. At the present she was laboring over her desk, drafting out floor plans for a hypothetical house. She had many of these in her portfolio, a fraction of them drawn long before she had even became a demoness. It was a hobby of hers to draw these architectural plans out, left over from her constant schooling to become an architect before her life had been turned upside down on its head.

A final stroke of her pencil along the ruler saw the last touch for the night. For the moment she felt the drafted sketch was finished, but she'd look it over tomorrow to see if she'd change her mind and add anything else to it. She stood up from the desk and passed a full-length mirror, stopping to momentarily examine herself.

She wore a short, black dress, sleeveless and strapless. Opera length gloves covered her arms, and dark stockings fit snug to her legs down to her black high heels. A perfect outfit for a brief outing tonight. A gloved hand reached up to brush a few strands of black hair from her face before she turned away from the mirror.

Jamie's steps carried her over to a small end table that rested beside her study door. Laying atop it was a bundle of letters from her mail that one of her imps had dropped off while she had been busy at the desk. She grasped them in a hand, and filed through them one by one with disinterest. Mostly it was advertisements from the market place and various other businesses. Nothing in response to the message that she had left on the city bulletin board.

After placing the letters back down on the table, she stepped out of the study and into the hall. She walked past various tapestries and statues depicting lewd and pornographic imagery. Nude women copulating with each other or occasionally fiendish creatures and beasts. Decor expected and typical of a demonic resident like herself.

She arrived at the staircase at the end of the hall and descended it with fluid movement. At the bottom was a hallway that led directly into her foyer. A small group of imps and strange spidery creatures scuttled out of her sight, as if almost fearful of what she might do to them. She understood their worry, but tonight she fortunately wasn't in a wrathful mood and thus meant them no malice.

A wave of her hand caused the twin front doors swing open, seemingly on their own. A draft of cold air from the night swept within the foyer while she walked outside, ignoring it utterly. Once outside, the doors closed behind her and locked with a slight noise. She eyed the cobbled pathway ahead of her and followed it further out into the night.

Tonight she would enjoy herself with whatever caught her fancy.

Rhy'Din had significantly changed since Jamie was last a resident. Gone were the guilds that had frequently struggled for supremacy, and gone were the constant promiscuous acts that would regularly occur in the taverns and the streets themselves. The latter she missed, but the removal of the former issue was a step in the right direction. Rhy'Din had achieved itself a stable government now, a governorship that oversaw legislation and a half-way decent city watch.

But there would always be problems when others were removed, and since her return, she had been hearing about them. It was constantly the newspapers and the brief bulletins distributed across the city. Pointless slaughterings on a mass, even occasionally epic scale. It was a guilty pleasure of hers to read about them, the sheer chaos each event generated. So much wrath....

But where was the lust? The sexual intensity that used to permeate throughout the very essence of Rhy'Din. It used to be so oversexed, a balance that formed with the violence that still remained to this day. Wrath was good, though, as she herself had indulged in it a few times in her planar travels. But still the lust was missing. Or maybe it wasn't, and she just hadn't simply stumbled across it yet. Perhaps a bit more searching was in order.

Jamie strode along a city block, about a few hours having passed since she had set foot out of her mansion door for the night. The cold wind blew against her, trying to nibble at the exposed parts of her crimson flesh, failing utterly at the attempt. As a demon, extreme temperatures rarely concerned her, like many other things didn't. On such a note, she was probably one of the few creatures that did not need to worry about some manner of mentally imbalanced psychotic attacking her. Attacking a fiendish entity was rather counter-productive and something of a death wish, after all.

Off in the distance her ears caught the sound of a high pitched scream, and she shivered, nearly reveling in its sound. Wherever or whoever it came from did not matter to her, but it brought her arousal regardless. No doubt there would be news of a murder or a mugging she could read about tomorrow, explaining the scream's origins. And if not then, later in the week at least.

She suddenly heard the sound of footsteps, dozens of them, accompanied with the rattle of steel, most likely armor. Undoubtedly it was a squad of the town watch rushing to wherever the scene of the crime was. It was best that she'd get out of their way, as her appearance might be momentarily jarring to them and causing the blame of whatever to fall on her simply out of prejudice. Rumors abroad stated that the watch was under a lot of stress, after all.

Stretching out her large, bat-like, membranous, red wings, she took to the air. The flight was a short one, as she came to perch above on a the roof of a nearby building. From there, she saw the squad of troops running in the opposite direction that she had been walking. There were about eight of them in number, and each looked ready to draw a weapon once they found the source of the scream.

It was more than likely that whatever culprits involved would already be gone when the troops arrived there, but at least they were trying. Jamie stood erect on the building's roof, the cold draft of air blowing up her black dress. She giggled slightly at the sensation, but mostly ignored it to observe the skyline.

"So different, yet so similar," she said softly to Rhy'Din.

She wound up taking the short way home, that is to say she flew home. Jamie rarely had an excuse to use her wings enough, having usually spent most of her time on her back or over someone else instead. Regardless, it was nice to exercise the avian muscles even just a bit from time to time. Plus she would have never been able to enjoy this privilege had she still been mortal.

Her thoughts surrounded that different life from years back, a different body. Okay... two different bodies. She had to remember the curse that had turned her life into a mess and interrupted her schooling, only because a bunch of holy rollers accused her of being a demon then. How ironic that such a fact would eventually become true.... Nevertheless, she eventually decided on one of the two forms the curse caused her to have over the other and the mystic malady was ended for good. She smiled, believing she had made the right choice then.

But then of course she had met the beautiful Jade, and was embraced into the demonic world without a second thought or regret. The second transformation as it was, and it was her favorite by far. She could do just about whatever she wanted as a demoness, and very few things in the planes could stop her.

She performed a slight barrel roll in the night air before her solid, dark eyes caught sight of the Rhy'Din city wall and her mansion down below. Home so quickly, but not without a single moment of simple enjoyment. Jamie made her descent for Ame Corrumpue Manor, the ground racing up to her with nearly incredible speed. With a light click of her black high heels on the cement walkway, she made a perfect landing.

It had only been a couple weeks since coming back to Rhy'Din, and while nothing astounding had happened yet, she was certain things would heat up soon. Keeping this in mind after the relatively uneventful night, she gave a silent order to her front doors to open up. After they obediently followed her command, she strode calmly through the waiting entrance.

Once she was in the safe confines of her new home, the doors shut behind her. She was definitely to be a resident of Rhy'Din for many more years, whether it wanted her or not.
