::The wind shifted outside the walls of the Sanctuary. It would be Shea's last stop before heading home back to Edhel Ndor. The wards and barriers would welcome her, as she was known by all the Sisters.
But, the wind mage had changed. No one had seen her here in some time. As the wind blew through her hair and back, over the dark green cloak, the baby pump could be seen. Shea was very round with child. Her hair short, touching to the middle of her neck. She wore something casual. No weapons did the knight carry. ::

::Past the main gates with a slower walk now, taking her time as a few kicks rocked her short frame. Shea was here for two reasons, and those reason would be given to Issy and to Issy alone. Shea felt the slight tinge of the wards about her and let those mystic winds that followed her fade at last as the doors were reached. It wasn't late, not by her standards any way, but the moon was out as well as the stars. Shea hoped she wouldn't wake anyone. A gloved hand rose and she kncoked waiting to be admited within.::

Chapter 9
Wind Talker

The stone was cold to her large feet this day. Even Delphinea knew that she would have to adopt the protective habit of wearing more clothing eventually. Winter was coming on and would be here before she knew it. Still, the autumn tried to cling to its heat as fervently as it could, so Phin, too, held onto her Island custom of less is more. Her short tunic and thin leather sandals were all that adorned this Amazon as she walked to the front door and opened for the guest on the other side.

She recognized the woman mostly from description from the other Sisters, though she could never be able to place her name. Instead Phin, seeing the woman's obvious pregnancy, offered her entrance inside.

"Good day, M'Lady. Please..." stepping aside from the double doors, Delphinea ushered the woman into the stone foyer.

::Jade hues swept to the Sister of Scathach before her. There were many that Shea did not know. :: "Thank you kindly." ::She stepped insde slowly. Those hues remained upon the woman. The cold perhaps did not bother her, with her sandles and short tunic. Yet Shea hugghed that dark green cloaks she wore closely even as she entered. :: "I do nea think we have met before. Have we?" ::A strong hand rose, gloved and all, and brushed through her dark lockes so they would set behind her elven ears.:: "Shea GreenStone-Walsh"

::Shea made deadly sure to add that Walsh at the end...it was becoming something she had not quite gotten yet used to. A soft head bow was given as well. :: " I am here to see Isuelt or someone in charge." ::Shea still didn't know for sure who served as the captain of the band of Sisters, but Issy seemed like a very good choice.::

Issy

"I'm here, Shea," came the husky-toned voice of the Scathachian.

She had not seen her friend in some time, and judging from her appearance, it was easy to see that Shea had been busy.

"This is Delphinea," gesturing to the tall blonde who had opened the door. "Can we get you anything? Tea? A seat by the hearth?" Her arm swung slowly toward the first of the receiving rooms where a fire was happily jumping within its stone confines.

She was curious what had brought Shea to them. There seemed to be an influx of visitors as of late, and judging from the strange and paranormal activities in the West End, Isuelt was not surprised.

::Jade hues swivled to the sound of Issy's voice. A smile graced Shea's elven features as the woman who had opened the door was introduced.:: "A pleasure to meet you, Delphinea." ::Inward more, Shea went.:: "Yes, perhaps both. Tea sounds lovely as does sitting down. " :: Gloves were then plucked off and tucked away within the folds of her cloak.:: "I hope I do not come to you at a bad time."

"Not at all," Isuelt led Shea into the first domed room and settled onto a couch near the fire. Her dark eyes then looked expectantly to the visitor.

These days, it was not unusual for people to bring bad news along with themselves to the Sanctuary. Isuelt just hoped that this was one of those rare times when it was strictly a social call, rather than an "Oh man, have we got a situation on our hands" call.

"What's up, Shea?" The Scathachian smiled, "Besides your obvious news?" A new baby, there seemed to be a lot of that going around lately.

::Taking a slow seat Shea smiled brushing the dark blue locks from her brow so that she could focus on Isuelt.:: "Ah yes, news. As you can see, I am very round with child and expecting soon. That's why I have come."
::Shea knew that there were a lot of new women in Rhydin already with child or whom had given birth.:: "I'll be gone for a short while once my daughter is born. But when things get settled again, after some time has passed, I do intend to return to the work I began here with you and your fellow priestesses. Rhydin, I think, is still worth saving, that is if it stays intact while I am away. This city is no place to raise a child. So in a way I am saying goodbye for now, until later."
::Shea wondered if she could say goodbye for now to Rhydin, and her many friends there. But it had to be done, so she would have to do it, for her daughters sake. Jade hues had drifted to the glow of the fire and now once more rested upon Issy.::

Quietly and after a lengthy pause, she cleared her throat. Leaning forward on the couch, Isuelt looked at Shea and spoke with a clear voice, "I understand. I will miss you."

She drew a cool breath and nodded to Shea, "Of course we wish you all the best and will pray for you and your daughter. She will be lucky if she grows up to emulate her mother. And it is my intention that not only will this town still be standing when you return, but it will be healthier and more vivacious than it is now."

Of course, Isuelt knew how much work that would take, and more importantly, how much did not depend on the will or strength of the Sisters. She knew that she might have been making a promise she couldn't keep.

Still, it felt somehow inspiring just to hear herself say it. She could only hope that others felt the same.

::Shea was touched by Isuelt's words; not only by the fact that the Scath Priestess would miss her, but that she truly wished her well.:: "Thank you for that. I will keep all of you here in my thoughts as well, and should things turn bad in the fighting, I am but a wind away to help. All one need do is call upon me and I will be here. I do hope that when I return, Rhydin is healthier and more vivacious. There are none better to do that job then the Sisters here. I will miss you all, even those I have not come to know yet. I assure you just as soon as I am able to come back, I will be here ready to pick up where I left off." ::Shea knew that it would be hard going. The fights were just beginning and they would get much harder, but she had faith in the Sisters and faith in Rhydin as a whole.::

At the doorway, tea in hand, Phin had heard the last bit of their conversation. It was true she did not know Shea Greenstone-Walsh, and while she perhaps would have liked to have gotten to know her, time was running short for those who did not wish to be in RhyDin when things got out of hand. And this woman wanted to raise her child in peace. Phin would have escorted Shea herself, had she not duties here in the city.

"Tea, madam," she entered the room and set the hot, comforting beverage before their guest. She then looked to Illea as she stood and waited.

::Shea smiled politely to Delphinea as the tea was set before her.:: "Thank you." ::That to Delphinea, before the cup floated from its placed spot to Shea's awaiting hands. A slow blow over the tea and it was perfect to drink. A long soothing sip was then taken. Shea had lost none of her prowess as a wind mage in her time through this pregancy. In fact, she had only gotten more powerful. Shea meant that she would return. Bound to honor and duty as well as family, Shea had done both before and would do so again as soon as all was well with Adamina and Edhel Ndor.:: "The tea is wonderful."
