Blasting and construction began today on two seperate projects related to the New Eden Colony thats being constructed to the North of Rhydin City. The first is a corridor that will accomidate a new Mag Lev Rail Line and highway set between Rhydin city and New Eden, the 65 Kilometer long 200 meter wide swath will be wide enough for the Mag Leve train, which will have two stations. The South station will be at StarsEnd Space Port, the North Station is located in the south-western edge of the New Eden Colony worksite. This wide and long corridor will also have a paved four lane highway that will run alongside the Mag Lev Train Line. Two Gas Station/Convinence stores and two Motels will also be build at each end of the so-called New Eden Highway.
On ther other side of Rhydin city, coming out of the New Eden worksite's Eastern sector, clear cutting and construction began on a two lane highway some 30 kilometers east of Rhydin, going Southwest towards the Southern Glen. The New Eden Colony Corp. is developing an Eco-friendly Four-season Resort town, with hiking/biking trails, cross country skiing, a large 18-hole Golf course, as well as a small boat dock for a proposed man-made lake. Construction on the Resort town will begin as soon as the corridor for the two-lane "Forest Highway" is cleared, flattened, graded and paved.
A proposed housing section is in the planning stages for the Resort. Some 230 to 240 large condos along the proposed Man-made lake are in the works. The Resort town, Gas stations and Motels when built are hoped to bring in at least a thousand new jobs and much needed cash revenue to the region.
