Hey all! We've been throwing around the idea of a big bash in July. We're looking at Saturday, July 21 at the moment. 2nd Looking for people to fill out some teams for a Darts League. Teams can consist of just one real character and made up others, they can have up to six people but you have to field four on any given match. It'll mostly be vapor play.

And, for the record, the Seaside Sharks lost today 14-10 to the Mosril Manticores (an off-world team). Defense ruled the game. No double-digit tackles like last week but Colt had 8 and 1 forced fumble.

Final score was 27-21. The Seaside Sharks beat the New Haven Lions in OT. Colt had another solid game with 10 tackles and 1 interception.

Chances are the girls will get their gifts delivered in person. Since she doesn't know where most of them live.

Each gift comes with their own bath set, stuffed animal, and perfume.

From left to right:

For Jackie: Sheer Freesia. Most noticeable fragrance is plum and grass accord followed by baby freesia and Rose with subtle underlines of sandalwood and musk.

Note: I will probably not be around Saturday. Summer will still be having a BBQ at her house! Basic stuff:

Home: Her townhouse is a four-bedroom place on the Upper Westside and the architecture is modern(When I find a picture that suits me I'll post it at some point.)

There is a door that opens to the basement. There is an entertainment system down there and a set of comfortable seats to go with the 70" TV. Artwork down there is a range of astronomical imagery. This floor has a half-bath.

The first floor is a wide open area that consists of the kitchen, dining room, and game area, a new regulation pool table is there along with a couple of arcade games. There is a stocked bar off to the side and seating around the area. Artwork in this area tends toward depictions of famous battles. This floor has a half-bath.

Upstairs there are four bedrooms, one that has been converted into her computer room and really the only room in the house that is off-limits, she has a security system on the door itself. :) This floor has two full bathrooms, but really only one that's accessible as the other is in the master bedroom.

Most of the decor upstairs is from the steampunk genre, there are 6" Daleks (from Dr.Who) painted randomly along the bottom of the walls.

The backyard is a modest size and in a bit of disarray as the space for the pool she's putting in has been marked off. She has a grill and a firepit, there is a refrigerator in the basement where she stocks meats just in case someone wants to come over and cook.

There will be both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available as well as a range of snack-type items. She has a monitor set up by the door where a guest can enter band names to be put into the mix for the music that is piped through the first floor and outside. (Basically you type in the name of the band and it gets put into the rotation). There are other functions for the monitor but unless someone is messing around with it the screen will be set to the "What band(s) do you want to hear?" option.

There will be two bodyguards there that will keep out of the way, Timothy during the day and Jacks at night.

You can have your character show up whenever and leave whenever, or not, she has plenty of crash space. :)

So, Rhett's throwing a party!

I've always struggled with making and maintaining the momentum for event-oriented threads so I wanted to spin this off into live play if the interest is there. Seeing how Rhett's apartment does not have its own dedicated chatroom I had a couple thoughts for how we could do this:

1) Host it on AIM, with the setting as Rhett's new place during the party, or
2) Get people together to pre-game for the party at Stars End Bar.

Either way my availability would probably be around 8-10 or 11 Friday. Thoughts?

Also news of the party may very well have run beyond Rhett's text message -- maybe he mentions it at work or a number of other places, maybe one of his ugly good-for-nothing brothers does the same, so if you don't play a Daniels or anyone who knows a Daniels but you're reading this and you're interested in participating, let me know! SEB's an open setting obviously, but if we end up doing this on AIM just send me a PM and we'll work it out. =)
