Then it finally became quiet, as Brian looked to his extended family from Vana'diel, whom he summoned to the newly owned again Villa to share this news with. It was chaotic as they each were brought up to speed in what had occured the last few months, from Charlotte and himself, to the Birth of Elena and to his newfound happiness with Jenai. Everyone was on pins and needles as he spoke and explained.. That was until he said six words, that sent them into the previously heard chaos..

"I told her I loved her."

Then he explained how exactly he said it, and then more chaos erupted. Much of which was stricken for the sake of the reader. It seems his delivery was not the best in the world, in fact it truthfully went something along the lines of:

"gods, I love ya."

Which mind you could have been meant a great deal of ways, but he knew he meant what he said.. He loved her, and would tell her again.
That was until Lucy was attacked, Judd was killed, Dimitri and Aurthur were trapped under a collapsed building, and Brian and many others went to their rescue. Then a quite dirty, and bloody Brian made his way into the Inn covered in soot, ash and more was taken by the hand by Jenai when she told him she loved him...

So we back track back to Brian yelling and then calmling down.

"I love her.. I said, and she said it.. I know she feels the same, we both talked about it. I truly am in love with her. I wanted you all to know.. I had to share it. I had to."

"So yer serious? Nyah? You 'really' love her? I mean she is pretty, and nice to you. I can see that when I am around town, but I didn't know ya had this bad, papi."

"I am dead serious, Ker. I really love her, and it has shown. People can see it as well, so much more is open."

"Watch it brother! Don't you go couch hopping on us! Got it? Look, we are happy.. Just a bit shocked.. I mean she is young, and 'pure' and what not? I mean this is.. Well this isn't like you."

"I have to agree, little Brother. This is not like you. She is like nothing you have ever dealt with.. But.. I see it. And I am far older than the lot of you, and I can see it plain as day. The boy is happy, and is in love and I will never deny him that. I can see the color in him once more, his aura shines again, like the time he found us and brought us together in Vana'diel. I am almost tempted to say welcome back little brother, but I know this was deep down inside you somewhere, all the while. It had never left. She is good for you, and you for her."

"Edea, thank you.. So much and I am happy. More so than before. I wish I could explain better, in time I am sure I will be able to. But for now, she is like something that has always been there, something so familiar and yet so new. Something I want to be a part of. Sappy yes, but I love her. It is that simple."

"Love is never that simple, but you have a great start and a strong group of friends who love you both and are pulling for you. Never forget that, no matter how bad it gets. Be true to yourselves, as you have done and the rest will eventually fall into place. Never forget what you have, and never be afraid to step in a new direction."

More talk followed, lots of emotions and banter carried on into the early hours of the morn. Brian left them at the Villa and headed back to the Sancutary. Along the way he came to the spot he and Jenai used to gaze at the stars, a warm smile took hold as he continued home and would eventually make ready for an early breakfast with Jenai. An amazing night with his family would roll right into an amazing morning with a woman he loved.
