It wasn't that long ago that Chi had come to her with that broken sword. It had been wrapped like a newborn baby and lying in Isuelt's private chambers since that time. She had wanted to present it to the GAC, or to Lady Belial. Perhaps they could figure something to do with it. That had been her plan at least. But the more she thought about it, the more she felt that perhaps she was going about this all wrong. The resources that the members of the Governor's Council could pull, not to mention the strength of power that Blood House Onyx was capable of, were both fair assessments of what to do with this weapon that allegedly held some significance for Brian Ravenlock. While these two groups could most definitely gather information on the power of the sword, Isuelt was overlooking the emotional significance of the sword. If there was a deeper connection between Ravenlock and this weapon, it wouldn't be found by a bunch of prodders, no matter how powerful, intelligent or connected they were.

Isuelt needed to understand this from a different angle. She needed to see this through Ravenlock's eyes, through Brian's eyes. And while she had lately found herself recognizing little of the man whom she used to call friend, perhaps there was another who would know better where he was coming from.

Since her return last summer, Isuelt had been searching the broken pieces of her memory and what she had found in Rhydin to try and understand why her Sister, Jenai, had left their Order to create the Clandestine Order of Scathach. While some of her Sisters had had better luck in speaking with Jenai, Isuelt knew that it was her turn now. No meetings in the Inn, no casual conversations, no distractions. Isuelt had inquired with her connections in the city and found the location of this new order. Arriving by horse, carrying the wrapped blade on her back, she made her way to the gates and let her eyes roam over the structure before ringing the bell and making her request for entrance known. The tall brunette took a deep breath, unsure of what sort of welcome she would find inside.
