This takes place directly after the post titled 'Preparations' in the Sojourn folder

The following morning....

"Dooooooooood, I can't believe we are back! Finally the Kerr, has COME BACK to, Appleburg! Nya ha ha and HA!"

Said one Kerrithra, with half her body hanging out of the front window of the Villa. Emerald orbs darted back and forth as she watched people and carts make their way in and out of the southern gates of Appleburg in the distance. Waving to people as they made their way up and down the cobblestoned street, from their homes in 'Oldentowne' district, towards the markets around the bend, Kerri seemed to be likened to a kid in a candy shoppe. The Mithra was easily find several new things to occupy her 'ADD at the moment' like attention span, especially one snappily dressed you man who was delivering to a neighbour across the cul-de-sac.

"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Wooooooooooooo! Mistah milk maaaaaaaaaaaan! FEED ME!"

Ever the articulate one, our dear Kerrithra flailed a bit as arms waved back and forth to the rightly puzzled young man, who in turn stood there dumbfounded, as he had never seen a Mithra, let alone a half dressed one that was leaning out the window as far as she could, and actually began to lick her paw and clean her face with it! A clatter was soundly heard, as the metal casing that held the bottles of fresh milk fell to the ground, and soon settled on it's side.. This of course caused Kerri to giggle in a girly delight.

"Meow....."

The poor man.. He had no idea of what he was beholding, save that a half naked somewhat feline female was waving to him, and more than likely for the first time in his life, he had no true idea of what to even do. It was one of those moments that truly didn't need any words.. Well on his end at least, as his imagination began to work itself into a series of scenarios, many of which are a bit too steamy to touch o--

Thwap!!

ThwapThwapThwapThwap!

And just as quickly as they had begun the young man's thoughts ended ubruptly, as the object of said thoughts began to rightly flail in many different directions! Kerri of course never knew what hit her, and reacted in the only way she knew how.. Severe flailing, as previously mentioned, coupled with a massive dosage of..

"ACK! Man down! Cat down! Watership down!!! ACK! Repel boarders, trim the sails! To arms! ACK! Owowowowowowowowowowowowowowowow! MEDIC!"

Flailflailflailflail and some more flailing, as Kerri repelled what she thought was a sneak attack via some unsavory forces. The young man called out in concern, and pointed towards the window, as several people passed in their passing to observe the spectacle that was Kerri. And just like that, in an instant Kerri vanished from view, as the shutters to the window slammed shut.

While somewhat of a commotion could be heard coming from the room, the passers by just went about their business, and after a moment or three, the young milkman did the same.. Well for a second he did, until he made it back to his cart, and then quickly returned to the front of the Ravenlock's Villa.

Leaving a bottle of milk with a small note attached, he chuckled to himself, as he looked to the window and noticed the commotion had subsided. A most interesting morning indeed for this young man, and a route he was sure to fight tooth and nail to keep. Who knows what he may see the next time he visited. But we digress.. Back to the Villa, and our favourite Mithra Heroine.

"Ack! Medic! Puss down, PUSS DOWN! WTF!? HAL--"

"Kerri will you please SHUT UP!, and maybe I will stop hitting you!"

"Wha!? Henri-- Why didja hit me like that!? I was making a new friend."

"More like making that boy succumb to a dream of the wet variety.. Okay a friend, eh? What was his name?"

"You said wet... Heh heh.. His name? Um... Uh.. Milky! That's his name! Um, Milky Pocky! Yeah!"

Thwapthwapthwapthwapthwap!

"Owowowowowowow! Okay, I'm sorry! I won't do it again, GEEZ!"

"Kerri.. You need to understand, we are not in Rhy'din anymore, or for that matter, Vana'diel. And just because Brian happens to be in the employee of Kairee, and sometimes you are as well, does not give you an excuse to make yet again a spectacle of yourself, do you understand? We have come here for a reason, and that reason is to keep this family secure, and make sure those children and Jenai are safe and sound."

"Oh I kn--"

"Yes, I am aware you know it, and I know you do your job incredibly well, Kerrithra. But that doesn't change the fact, that we cannot attract anymore attention in the likes of that which you just managed to gain. A peaceful excursion is what we are looking for, that is why we came all this way. Please?"

Kerri noddled, and stood upright. Embracing Henrietta, Kerri nodded again, and held her heart sister closely.

"I know, Henri. I'm sorry. It's just hard sometimes, yanno? I mean look at them.. Children.. Two of them! And he had another from the old one too. I mean.. I thought.. It's hard sometimes, knowing everyone else can have children, and I may never be able to do so."

Dropping the paper fan that was used to throttle Kerri, Henrietta kissed her heart sister on the head softly, and just held her. She understood what it was like, as Kerri would more than likely never have a child in any of these realms.. Not by choice mind you.

It was due to the fact she was not biologically compatible with anything else save a Mithra.. So she knew this was hard.. It was hard for Henrietta to an extent as well, as she was unable to have children herself, however that was by choice, as she had married the sword, and would remain so until she decided she wanted something better. In any event, Henrietta knew better than to lament on that matter, as soon they would have two small ones that would require loving and guidance abound.

So holding Kerri, Henrietta smiled and rocked her sister back and forth letting Kerri have a moment to let it all out while they had the house to themselves so to speak with Jenai resting, and Brian at the castle.

Leaving the Castle, Brian finally was making his way towards home, and to his family, and more importantly the mother of his children. As much as he wanted to rush home, he declined a horse, instead opting for a walk. With such wonderous weather, how could be resist a relaxing walk in the city that he and Jenai have come to truly enjoy.

Of course, after the day he had no one could blame him for the walk, as he was hand picked by the Lady Kairee herself to oversee some of the endeavors regarding the opening of the new trade routes for Appleburg, and it's various neighbors. Which in short meant, a great deal of politicians, protesters and gods know what else. In any event, a great way to destress in Brian's eyes was a good walk, a form of habit from back home in Rhy'din, as he used to wander the market place for hours on end.

Thinking back, Brian recalled the first time he and Jenai had visited Appleburg, and stayed for the few months during the construction of the 'compound'. He laughed out loud, as he remembered Jenai's first trip to the Castle. The look on the faces of some of the staff was pricless, as a severely underdressed (well according to their sense of normalcy) Scathachian Priestess made her way about the grounds and became a mainstay in the realm of topics discussed. Of course watching Jen around the large city was something else entirely, and was at times akin to watching a child run amok in a candy shoppe, or a new opened toy shoppe. Amazing indeed. So onward Brian walked, occasionaly pausing to respond to greetings from citizens, and to respond to a few minor concerns from said citizens here and there. After a bit of time, Brian had arrived in their home district.

The news of Kerri's window show had spread about the neighborhood and truth be told, the Mithra was becoming somewhat of a celebrity among the children about the district, which caused Brian to chuckle loudly when questioned by Lady Vicenza the Florist, as he entered her shoppe to have a look at her latest shipment of fresh flowers from about the region.

Carefully dodging any truly deep questons, Brian simply referred to Kerri as a foreign ambassador that was not fully aware witht he customs of Appleburg, and that she would be staying for a bit of time. Lady Vicenza had a good laugh, as someone else in the shoppe told the tail once more about the flailing cat woman, and of the same cat woman that was in hot pursuit of one poor shaved ice vendor earlier in the morn. Bidding the ladies farewell, Brian headed homeward once more.

Entering the Villa, Brian made his way towards the room he and Jenai shared, and slipped inside with a loving smile, setting the boquet he had picked up on her dresser. Jenai lay in slumber, looking as beautful as the first day he had laid eyes upon her.. The first day she had entered his room, and awoke with a soft kiss that would change his life forever. Kicking his boots off, and changing into something much more comfortable, he slid into the bed next to his beloved and smiled yet again, and he simply watched the woman he adored above all else peacefully rest.

The pacing, back and forth, had to be checking on this little thing and that little thing. Things she had, things Brian had, checked before. At the time Jenai just thought it was a restlessness she felt being far from the compound. Perhaps justified nervousness. What ever it was she was sure her sudden pacing was keeping Brian from getting any decent sleep and driving him as nuts as it had been driving her.

But then the uneasy state made perfect sense as nature had taken over as it does in all things. Quietly things had started, Jenai had been more then willing to throw something, correction, anything at anyone that started getting too excited. She was trying to hide her own nervousness, the last thing she wanted was a flailing Mithra with sideline commentary making her self and the others in the room freak out. Which honestly, if it had been anyone else?s birth, would have been hilarious.

What she found to be ironic was that her first intentions where to be alone, not another soul help her with this and yet it seemed her hand turned into a talon and wouldn?t let go of Brian?s. Some encouraging words where hissed, something along the lines of ?you helped get me this way you?re going to stay right here?. She couldn?t realllllly recall what quote unquote she said. But something about childbirth makes you forget the little details. She was sure everyone in the room would have their story and own quote for her later.

And all that seemed a million years ago as Jenai rested quietly in the comfy confines of fresh linens and pillows. The girls nestled so close and so tiny. So pink! Right now it was their time with them. A clean bill of health given to each as the last of the private staff Kairee had honored them with left the room. Kairee, Jenai would always thank her for all she had done for them, and letting them escape the goatrope that was life Rhydin at times, for this private time was more then she could have asked for. She would think of a way to repay the kindness of the ever divine Kairee.

Nothing could possibly be softer then baby hair, and at this moment it took Jenai?s attention. Both of the girls thankfully had been blessed with a heedful of the most curious shade of red. Jen couldn?t help but gingerly play with a stray bit that curled just the tiniest amount. Aleyah and Nathressa were here...
