She had put her foot down. This was it. She was getting out of that house! Jade was tired of being put up in the house, just because she was pregnant. And it had only been a month! This would not go on for nine months. Sitting up in her and Dakota's room as the man of the house made a living, Jade thought of who to visit. She even made a list.

"Rhy...? Nooo... I saw them last week... an' I talk ta 'er like, everyday," she gave a sigh. Her poor bff was getting earfuls from her pregnant stirr-crazy bestie. "Icer...?" She blinked, thought, and instantly scratched her off the list. "Duci?" Pause, "No. She's too pretty, an' I'm too fat right now."

She sighed. She was getting too fat to be seen in RhyDin. Oh the irony. Jade looked to the 15th name on the list of literally 1,000 names. 'Brian and Jen'. Blink, Jade pondered as she tapped her chin with her pen. She wondered if they were at the compound. She had attempted once to see them, but somehow the plan crumbled through.

"Ah-HA!" She said as she stood, hand rose in a fist, "That's it! I'm bustin' outta this joint!"

Jade made way, grabbing clothes up, and quickly getting ready. Hair and make-up? Eh. Hair was brushed at best, and eye-liner and mascara was merely dabbed on. Clothes? Sundresses were her thing as of late. It helped show off her growing tummy. Well, she thought so, seeing as you couldn't tell other than her slight weight gain. Today, she wore a red sundress that had a black sash about her middle, which formed a huge bow in the back, and black flip-flops.

"Claira!" She called out to her daughter, "Get ready! We're goin' out!"

Jade gave herself a once-over in her bedroom's full length mirror. She frowned at her messy hair. She pulled it into a high ponytail, letting some strainds fall loose. It had been her look for a while now. The momma look.

With that dealt with, she went forth to find her daughter.... in front of the tv. She clicked off the tv, and stood in front of it

"Mooooooom!"
"I said we were goin' out!"
"Oh really?!"
"Yes! Go get ready!"
"Where we goin', momma?"
"Uncle Bri's and Auntie Jennie's. I hear your cousins grew up some."
"Oh boy! You mean he's back!"
"We'll find out, eh? Shooo shoooo!"

With that, the little nine year old bound up the stairs. Moments later, Claira bopped back down the stairs. She was donned in her pink 'Claira Ann' shirt with little jean shorts and her ballerina flats. Jade looked over her daughter, mused, and frowned.

"Yer hair..."
"What about it?"

"Lemme see 'ere..." She pulled out a few ponytail holders and ribbons from who knows where, and started to braid her daughter's hair into pigtails. Jade stood again, looked the little one over, smiled, and nodded, "Jus' adorable."

"Caaaaan we goooo now?" The little one bopped on her heels.

"Yes, baby," she said as she picked up a few things and stuffed them into her Cleavage of Holding. Those things were her cellphone, her wallet, and house keys.

Claira swiped up her teddy bear, and out the door they went. They chose to walk. It wasn't too far of a walk, and plus it was a nice day. Within a half an hour they arrived to the compound's doorstep. Jade was panting nearly. Claira stared at her oddly, seeing as she had never been that bad off before. She waved off her daughter and set her knuckles to the door and gave a hard knock. Then, Jade set her sweating forehead to the wooden door. Pant.

Oh such things indeed, that one would happen upon, when standing in front of the Ravenlock compound.. One may very well, happen upon an errant spider monkey, heavens forbid.. A wandering Moor Cat, simply padding along, and then, at the first hint of shade, it literally vanishes.. Or perhaps, a wandering Mithra, who can no long stalk the man of her dreams. Maybe, a taru , practicing his spell work.. So many things indeed.. Yet today was not a day for any of those, previously mentioned things, ladies and gentlemen.

Today was a day for little red headed beasties indeed..

So it had begun..

With the softest of giggles, it had begun. If one were to hear them, and look, they would find nothing..

Ever so quick were they, indeed, as the stalked their ?prey?.. With a snicker-snort, and another giggle to boot, the pair worked in tandem, as if they were one, in the same, and for all purposes they were. No verbal commands to one another, no visual aids, or the such. Everything done with such a fluid effort, much akin to their mother and father, who were very much the same. Closer, and closer they crept.. Using, the skills they had learned not only from their parents, but also from the Mithra Kerri, their ?nanny? and self appointed ?leader for life?.. If one were to notice, anything at all, it was more than like the blur of crimson, that lasted no more than a second, or so. Perhaps, what looked to be a tail.. Of course, the beasties, swore they were never seen, mind you..

And instantly, it happened..

?HALT!?

If the visitors were to turn around, they would see something interesting indeed, in the form of a little girl..

A little girl no older than seven or so, clad head to toe, in what one could describe best, as a camouflaged body suit, with a head of bright crimson, tied back into two large pony tails. A little girl, who?s face was painted with ?war stripes? upon her tan cheeks. A little girl who had.. Cat ears? Yes, cat ears, stemming from that head of crimson.

The little one, regarded the pair, as she stood as menacingly, as she possibly could, while pointing to the pair.. In her hand was a chakram, much like the one her mother would use. Little fingers tapped along the weapon rather methodically, as eyes of blue narrowed rather suspiciously..

The little one spoke, ?Are you a zombie??

Another voice rang out, as well.. ?Cause we kill zombies on sight!?

?But.. What about aunt Ren, wasn?t she a zombie??, replied the one before the visitors.

The undisclosed voice replied, ?Yeah, and if we see her, we?ll gut her like a fish!?

?Oh! Okay!?, replied the painted one, with a ?noddle?.

Looking back to Jade, and Claira, the painted one spoke..

?Okay, in the name of?Oh man.. Hey, what?s today?s theme!??

?Grill cheese sandwiches, ferret for brains!?, replied the undisclosed voice.

The painted one smiled, and nodded, ?Oh yeah, thanks!? And like that, she continued, as she pointed to Jade, and Claira once more!

?Okay, in the name of grill cheese sandwiches, who are you, and watcha want!?

The other voice rang out once more, ?Yeah, and make it quick cause we eat grill cheese around here, and you look kinda tasty!?

And suddenly, a third voice rang out, ?Wait!!?

?What!??, cried the second voice, coupled with the voice of the one, standing before Jade, and Claira.

The third voice spoke again, ?Cause I think that?s Aunt Jade, and Claira!?

?Aunt J?Oooooooh!?, said the one before Jade, and Claira, in revelation!

The second voice chimed in, ?But I still wanna eat em!?

And like that, what would normally be a standard interrogation spilled into a three way dance of words, and somewhat insults, as the one before the visitors, and the two undisclosed voices, had at it..

Welcome home indeed, wayward Ravenlocks.. Welcome home.
