It had been one hell of a night, day, whatever they blurred all together and had lasted way longer then normal. But the good parts of the day that ran through Jen's mind out weighed the bad.
They hadn't been home very long from star gazing in their field. That's how she liked to think of it, Their field. For it was one of those moments they were far from everyone else. A little piece of earth and time meant just for them.
Tiki was asleep between her feet, all tucked in to a little ball that Jen thought looks so cozy. So she was careful when she slide out of her blankets. The Kitten's ear twitched, and was still. Jenjen smiled to herself and as she stood gave her plushie a pat to her pillow and tip toed out of her room.
The house was so spooky quiet at this hour. But she was sure that Rae was prolly up and about. More more likely "out". So she left her door cracked a teeny bit and silently made her way down the hall. She wasn't having to sneak as much as before, but she tried to be as soft as the flame that colored her hair.
Jen held her trek as she found Brian's door and listen to see if he was up. Maybe, but nothing stirred in his room. She knew it sometimes took him longer to fall asleep. Moor cat eyes seemed to float unblinking at her in the darkness as she opened the door and slinked past. She wouldn't need as much light anymore, she'd waken him up plenty to know where things lay.... mostly Brian.
She ran her hands over her hips smoothing her boy shorts while her steps took her to one side of the bed. If he was awake, she knew he was aware of her from her footfalls or her breathing his keen ears picked up, to a lingering scent of any shampoo or soap she used. She wasn't going to wake him to tell him she was here.
Gingerly and slowly, she put a knee on the empty edge of the bed and crawled on top the covers. As she eased into a long stretch of her limbs she curled next to him and closed her eyes. Heavens above his linen's carried his cologne. She gave another graceful slide until she was able to press her full body to him, leaving a red wave of her hair fanning out behind her on his sheets. Now it was her turn not to want to open her eyes.
