Jen knew it was coming... cold and flu season. She had been treating a few of the locals, helping ease their minds and bodies, handing out medicines and making house calls to some of the oldest citizens that could not make it to the temple. But she didn't think she would come down with it herself.
She slid an arm out across the bed, not wanting to get out yet, not wanting to open her eyes. a tanned hand ran across the empty satin. He must be up cooking for the others. What time was it anyway?
A sniffle and cough later she pulled his blankets away from her head and was met with the light. She could only turn over enjoying the cool of the sheets to what she knew must be a fever coming. A bronzed leg slipped out and hooked over the blankets as she tried to blink herself awake in a pool of crimson bed head. She hadn't felt this bad since she had too much of Issy's Whiskey way back in the day.
She had started to push herself up to sit, bare legs swing slowly over the edge, holding the sheets about her as the coverlet fell away. She just sat there and waited for her head to stop feeling like it was filled with goo.
